This is a successful piece of visual communication. Just by the body language alone of the characters combined with the colours in the surrounding environment you can tell that they are having a tender or solemn moment. I feel as if Pixar has a terrific talent for using powerful visual communication in their films, its part of what makes them so emotionally charged, especially in the sadder tear-jerking scenes like these.

My Favourite film
Treasure Planet is 100% my favourite film to date. I love the way that the animators were able to use a variety of character designs and be able to effectively incorporate them into the treasure planet universe perfectly. time after time it never fails to give me a sense of nostalgia.

What inspires me
Most if not a vast amount of my work is heavily influenced by the popular genre of fantasy. There’s something about the whimsical nature of magical creatures that is timeless to me and has always been able to inspire me time after time.
