a central transfeminist point that it's difficult for tmes to wrap their heads around is that trans women do in fact interact with society as women, and are treated as women, even when they're being misgendered. misgendering isn't just misunderstanding, it's a deliberate act of violence targeting a particularly vulnerable class of women

this seemingly paradoxical nature of transmisogyny is what makes talking about these things so maddening

It's crazy to me that a bunch of people think "transfem" means "trans and feminine" and not "an umbrella term for the spectrum of camab trans identities." Like I'm not the biggest fan of the term either but come on.

It's all "male socialization" this and "AMAB privilege" that right up to the point where a trans woman says "hey, I've seen this shit a million times before and what you're doing right now is a classic, archetypal panic from the type of guy who feels like his claim to masculinity is being threatened, this is really unhealthy and you need to work on the underlying insecurity instead of taking it out on a group of women" at which point we cannot possibly have considered men's perspectives.

Frankly, it would be much easier to go along with love triangles if the narratives were interested in showing the relationship between fully rounded characters stumbling along in the search of their own happiness and self-realization, instead of just "ooooo they can only pick one that's the rules who is gonna be ooooooo"

I could happily go the rest of my life without seeing another post about how orgasms aren't the point of sex. It's true enough but women don't have to be told our pleasure doesn't matter, we already figured that out via the constant societal messaging that tells us our pleasures and desires are at best frivolous if not dangerous
