End
The end of our OJT days are near. But before that, we did a lot of researches and read a lot of related studies that could help us with our project.
All thanks to DOST for accommodating us from the very start. We learned and experienced a lot. and that experience was so fun.

Another Interview
We needed another interview with our client because we need some clarifications with the process of document management in the office so Marla and I went to Bicol University to submit another letter to Sir Sy, the Associate Dean of our college department. Nothing much happened this day.

Pre-employment Examination
This day, our OJT coordinator surprised us with an examination. A 50-item aptitude test that should be finished with 30 minutes. We felt nervous at first because we were not informed that we are taking an examination but as soon as it starts, we just answer it just like any other examinations.
Days passed and we don’t know the results of the examination. But one day, kuya Clint entered the room asking for shake hands. HAHA. I asked why, then he said that it’s because I ranked first in the examination that we took. Next is ate Janis then third is ate Karen. I didn’t believe him at first but he said that it’s true and Sir Don, our OJT coordinator in DOST said the results himself.

PROPOSAL DEFENSE
We had our proposal defense this day. We presented the powerpoint presentation I made and Jess and Chrisal discussed our study. The panelists asked questions and clarifications about the study. Fortunately, ourtopic was approved .The panelists gave suggestions and recommendations to us.

Half Day
We only spent half of our day in the DOST because we attended the opening program of the Bicol University week.
We prepared for our proposal defense in the morning.
We had our parade in the afternoon and spent the day in the university.

On-The-Job Training Orientation.
Yes, it’s a little bit for us to have our formal orientation because the one we had when we started our ojt was just a briefing of “do’s and don’ts” in the organization.
We had our orientation together with the senior high school students from different schools.

Doing research with the other group.
As we change our thesis study, we accepted a lot of help from this group. They gave us advises and things to consider in doing our project. They gave us enough knowledge that could help us in doing our research.
This time we are doing all the paper works that we should submit to our Content Adviser for checking.

Change.
This is the day where we went to Bicol University to meet with our Content Adviser and Programming Adviser. We discussed the change of our thesis topic because we had the problem with the novelty of our previous topic. Our advisers, together with other faculty members decided that we should make a system in the dean’s office that could benefit every faculty.
Our thesis title went from “Maguindara: A flood monitoring, early warning and evacuation system w/ mobile app.” to “Doc STARS: Document Storage, Administration and Retrieval System”.
Because of the change in our study, it also means that we should start our new research from scratch. It’s a lot of work to do considering that we don’t have enough time to prepare something new but we are eager to finish our project that it gives us the motivation to do well.

Encode and Update
It took us a while to finish encoding. We continuously register the participants of the RSTW because we didn’t finish it during the time of event. There are a lot of participants that it is so hard for us to finish encoding the names on time. But we did it after some time.

LAST DAY of RSTW: Regional Science and Technology Week.
Last day. The registration was just the same as the other two days. We were busy with our own assigned tasks yet we enjoy doing it.
We spent this day encoding participants’ names in the the system for them to be registered. We also received a token of appreciation from our department.

2ND DAY of RSTW: Regional Science and Technology Week.
Early Birds.
Chrisal and I came to the venue earlier than the first day that we had the chance to take a picture before the event starts.
The second day of the RSTW was not the same with the first day as the work have been done under control. We adjusted already to the tasks that we should do and we did it smoothly.
We also had time to visit some booths inside the venue. It was fun learning new things, seeing new and inspiring ideas came to life and meeting new people.
Compared to the first day, we handled the registration well this time. Mistakes were made but immediate solutions were given and the problems are solved!

RSTW: Regional Science and Technology Week. Held in Bicol University College of Engineering Gymnasium, East Campus.
First day. A chaotic yet exciting day to remember.
Before the day of the event, we were instructed that for us to make it easier in dealing with the task assigned to us, we had a pre-registration in the DOST office where we register the names of some students who submitted to the office in an earlier date. It’s hard to register them because we need their age, gender, etc. but we only had their names. It’s hard but it’s fun.
Our job is to check if the participant is already registered and if not, we will register them ourselves for them to participate the event. There are so many students and teachers who are eager to go inside the gymnasium that the registration team is a mess. HAHA. But no worries as we had the job nicely done.
We can’t take pictures before and during the event because we are too busy to take a shot but when the event for the first day was over, we took our chance to take a group picture and it went well.

This day, we went to see our Programming Adviser, Mr. Davie Balmadrid, to ask certain questions regarding our study. He briefly discussed the things that we should do. We asked a lot of questions about our study and he answered the questions comprehensively.
