I think that there's a common misconception about getting older. I've thought my whole life that things would get easier as I got older and coping with demons from the past would somehow be something that I understood how to do. But it's not easier. It's a lot harder. Things that were once an inconvenience start weighing heavily on your daily life. Things that held little to no significance now seem to be controlling the way I think and the way I feel. I feel a lot of anger and a lot of weight on my shoulders. I've worked so far to get to where I am but it all seems so pointless and maybe even wrong
