i logged on and saw that I had a new inbox message so i clicked it and there weirdly wasnt any new message so i looked down at the old messages i had on here ready to be mortified but they were actually sweet. I've had a rough time of it the last decade but I really did try to connect with people in the ways I knew how to. It's easier to remember the times I bored people away being too anxious to actually engage. i turn 30 next month.

i just remembered that i wanted to write this down last night. I was thinking about how long certain objects are with us. bc i bought a tube of weleda skin food hand cream and i thought "will i have this three years from now? what things do i have now that i will still have when i have a baby, and then a child who can play with those objects?" I think about the things my mom had like makeup and perfumed talcum powder that i played with and how long she must have had those things because she wasnt one to buy much stuff like that, but she kept old things for ages. If i was a really committed hand cream user maybe I'd use it up in a year but I don't think I am, i usually forget. But even if I diduse it up, it made me want to buy another weleda skin food hand cream in the future so my baby can have those things to play with, and they will have their own memories of the scent of childhood. lolas also doing a lot better, but clearly i cant stop thinking about having a baby, but I'm trying my best to focus on the here and now, and better myself and life so I can give my baby everything they deserve. also I''m smack dab in my saturn return, i'm having body image issues again, and I really need to find a therapist.

I grew up the town that produced the plutonium for the bomb dropped on Nagasaki, and the high schools mascot is still the mushroom cloud....
“Since those attacks, the most commonly available images of the bombings have been the familiar mushroom clouds seen from the bombers. In the immediate aftermath, to minimize international criticism of the bombings, a plethora of trivializing aerial photos and maps were released which glorified the power of the atom bombs and justified their use. An aggressive campaign of censorship and confiscation between 1945 and 1951 dramatically limited the circulation of colour and black-and-white ground-level images and newsreel footage taken on the streets of Hiroshima and Nagasaki which showed the terrible human and urban realities of ‘ground zero’.”
