"HUNGRY!" Ebirah repeatedly slammed its claws into the water, creating waves that forced all ships around it to bob around like rubber ducks in a bathtub. "EAT LITTLE THINGS NOW."

Titanosaurus warbled, clutching the sides of his head and shook his long neck back and forth. "Can't eat." He said softly, taking a step back when the crustacean advanced. "King not happy if you eat."

Ebirah showed how it felt about this by pinching the other titan's tail with its claws, making the saurian screech in pain and trash in the water. Eventually, he tumbled gracefully onto his backside and disappeared under the water's surface for a brief moment.

With its 'adversary' seemingly vanquished, Ebirah turned its beady eyes towards Johan and his beast. A flash of confusion emanated from the sea titan, before hunger overtook any other logical thought. It snapped its larger claw, reaching out to skewer what it believed to be two helpless prey items.

It started with the black vans. They pulled up to the college campus, running over flowerbeds and leaving tire tracks in the freshly mowed grass. Under normal circumstances, people would have been freaking out. The SWAT teams must have been here, or the cops were tipped off to some sort of drug deal.

But everyone saw the white, sideways hourglass markings on the van doors. Then they knew everything was double fucked.

A man in a suit and tie, sunglasses on his face even though it was cloudy out, strode up to the dorm room of one Veronica Sawyer and knocked on the door- politely but with an urgent force.

"Miss Sawyer. Please open up."

"That's the name and don't you forget it." The kaiju hissed, his voice tinged with a cybernetic overtone. "The galaxy's greatest titan assassin!"

A curious tilt of his massive head conveyed that he was, in a sense, curious. While he hadn't been to the surface in ages, to this island, he hadn't expected hostility and panic.

Before his long rest, the little ones- both two legged and with wings -had revered him, lived alongside him. Seen him as a protector and guardian when others like him fell out of line.

When they upset the balance.

Hmm. Maybe he had been sleeping for longer than he thought.

The black scaled wing one snarled at him, clearly aggravated at the thought. This was his territory, the king understood that...to an extent.

The great titan rumbled low in his throat, his gills flaring. Every dorsal spine that ran down his back flared with a bright blue light. Trying to communicate that he wasn't here to harm them.

Portals were never a good sign on Monster Island. Usually it was a precursor to an attempt at an alien invasion, bad guys from the future, monsters from another dimension- there were a lot of things that were bad about portals.

Anguirus was often known as the Underdog of kaiju. He would always fight to defend his home, even if the odds were drastically against it. It wasn't a smart move but...he had never won any of the fights in his life, and more often than not, came out beaten to a pulp until the Alpha Titan came to his aid.

So yes. He had walked through a totally strange portal to see if it was a threat, prepared to defend earth to the last breath.

The quadruped exhaled through his nostrils that was more like a powerful blast of wind than anything, regarding Muggsy with curious, yet intelligent eyes.

This didn't look like an evil alien....
