A Thing to remember while I work on Drafts in between other things, is that the Sidhe are actually a long-standing war-driven race. Outside of their career military and navy, they’re perfectly capable of living what constitutes as normal lives and being good to people who mean them little harm, but as soon as their warlord/Imperial orders the drums to beat, it’s all over and their latent bloodthirst breaks the surface and everyone will grab whatever’s at hand and go shrieking to the boats. The change is that sudden and it’s scary to think about, especially when there are no wardrums to signify the initial charge and they’re just defending themselves.
There’s a reason they need no policing authority on the islands, and that’s because at the end of the day, they are the policing authority.

#Relevant#Military Prowess#noseriously#we had a huge talk about this earlier while watching this#and determined the sidhe military would probably be the type#who does pick up the fucking ships just to use them inland#sidhe military is +100 over the top is2fg#'aaaaw they have a moat? good news! we have a boat'#they're probably actually the little patrol sentries the actual warships carry for positioning purposes at short notice#they're not gonna drag a whole ass warship over land those things weigh a few several tons because of the engines#but those little patrol boats are still functional and lightweight#get a couple of those and a few of the heavy repeater cannons the heavy cavalry ferry around and bam#inland navy
