"Oh, wouldn't you like to know." Maeve quipped. Like hell was she going to tell anyone about what was happening between her and John, it was better to say quiet. She'd rather keep the peace because what good would speaking up do? It would only cause shit as he'd only lose his mind and make it all worse.

But then again, that's what you get for not being obedient.

The comment on Homelander having a "type" though... Well, her expression went blank in an instant. She didn't exactly like being reminded of her past relationship with the man...

Maggie watched James carefully now after that comment, she then saw how he looked back at John and just how smitten he was.

Shit...

For a moment, she felt almost compelled to intervene and stop whatever this was in its tracks before someone got hurt.

"Well, you ought to watch yourself." She said with a hint of concern.

Neon green orbs that pierced the darkness, fixated on Maeve as she finished her scene retreating to the sidelines, and it was Homelander's turn to shoot the next scene. The leader of the seven taking her place. James had joined the blonde on the side lines during Maeve's scene.

A wry smile played upon his lips as he addressed her with a hint of mockery, "Good evening, your majesty." The playful salutation was a nod to her moniker as "Queen" Maeve.

During filming her scene, Maeve was fully aware she was being watched... She could feel it. But she was not the sort of person to let it be known that such a thing bothered her, so she kept on with the scene like she normally would have.

Once "Cut!" was yelled and she was directed off set, Maeve's intentions were to go straight to her trailer and rest awhile. She wasn't needed for the next few scenes, it was the star of the movie's turn after all so she had plenty of time to do whatever the fuck she wanted.

As she walked, she heard James and stopped in her tracks for a moment, rolling her eyes at the mockery, knowing full well he was joking. So deciding to head over to join him, she smiled, keeping that pleasant wall up because of where she was.

"Well, hello there, stalker."

Maggie didn't care, she felt she'd casually let it be known that she knew she was being watched by him during her scene.

"What can I help you with?"

Maeve had her reasons to avoid people usually, but when it came to Nemesis... Well, she most definitely had her reasons. Maeve wasn't one to put up with the usual shit the little ferret got up to. And given that the last time she got attacked by a glitter bomb in the main board room, she was quite quick to lose her shit — it was a good thing Nemesis wasn't around at the time.

"Well, I hate to break it to you, but life's boring. Not gonna get any more exciting than it already is."

That might have been taken as sarcasm, but that was just how she genuinely felt most days.

"Look, I'll take any opportunity to wear anything but my armour, but since it's pretty much considered 'work uniform', I don't have a lot of say in when I can wear it or not. Now, you gonna lay there all day and mope?"

Usually, she wouldn't just walk back, but she figured some fresh air could do her some good - she was in her "secret identity" anyway, so she was fine.

As she walked across the grass, she saw Nemesis out of the corner of her eye and at first she was quite tempted to just walk past, but curiosity took over because normally the ferret would be up to her usual shenanigans...

So, she headed over, towering over the animal.

"What are you doing out here? Shouldn't you be inside and up to your usual shit?"

(i was gonna put this on my rp blog last night, but i decided to make it a post on here so anyone else who likes antagonistic anons can reblog it as well without borking my notifs)

people are allowed to send anons about what goes on on my blog and the circle of blogs that interact with me, this includes trying to get under my muses skin or tell them the hard truths about what is happening, or even about their fellow friends and enemies!

berate them for putting up with something dumb, point out flaws in someone's story, mention how something they believe is not the truth, do it, have fun!

just be sure that the antagonistic anon you sent is directed at the muse, not the mun, and make sure to read the rules of the blog you wish to send anons to, some antagonizing might be seen as godmodding and will go unanswered or blocked.

"Well, he's already punishing me for a few things at the minute, so I can't say I'm overly bothered. And besides, I'm not the type of person who would say it behind his back, I'll say exactly what I think of him to his face."

With a quick shrug of her shoulders, she'd readjust the way her armour sat on her right shoulder, "But hey, you were the one who said 'groupie', not me. If you ask me, I'd say you're one step up from being a groupie."

Her hazel eyes followed his hand and could sort of make out the fact that he had been branded. It caused her to lift a brow, silently questioning whether she was supposed to be impressed or not.

But oh how James humoured her with the whole "touch of authority" comment. From the look on his face and the words he used, anyone would have thought he was becoming a tad defensive. This warped sense of "authority" was very telling of James' character - not that she was surprised. Homelander seemed to have a lot of messed up groupies these days it seemed. The way Maeve saw it, he just drew people just like him or even worse in like a fucking magnet.

"There's a difference between 'authority' and 'insanity', don't you think? But hey, if that's the company you like to keep, then who am I to judge?"

Who was she to judge? Why, she was only one of the most judgy members of The Seven of course.

According to the analytics team that you messed up when you fired pretty much all of the team, there's nothing going on that's worth me intervening in. So, you know what? Maybe a foursome could be fun right about now. I mean, there's nothing wrong with a foursome, really. It surely must be better than doing it with a fish."

"Good shout, Kevin." And with that came a smile.
