In later scenes, Mafuyu is shown with a drawing of a flower taped over her face. This is a hanamaru, which is commonly drawn on children's exams as a way of praising them for a high score (functionally the same as a gold star used in many western countries). This ties in with the exam papers seen falling in the foreground, all with very high scores, and reflects how many people only see Mafuyu as a role model and honor student instead of an actual person.
