Description: There are two distinct phenotypes that you can expect to find in the third back crossing to the NL5 original cutting. One smells just like the NL5 original cut with heavy pine and accents of coffee and kush sweetness. The other is a Hindu kush type with a thick floral kush scent and mouth coating kush flavor, some more intense than others. There are also 2-3 different types of flower growth patterns that show in both phenotypes. There are tall and short types, both with nice side branching with the tall ones stretching nearly double in early flower.

the Light

Description: We took the best males from the Light f4 generation and back crossed them to our tried and true favorite cuttings from previous generations to add more funk as there was still a bit of sweetness in the f4 generation. The two mothers used were: the Light f1 #8, a major back bone in this line, she stinks of slightly sweet ammonia and onions with accents of black pepper and anise, and the Light f2 #5 which is the progeny of #8 with a serious addition of nasty funk and some serious resin that coats the flowers. These have a moderate stretch during the beginning of flowering and great branching structure. Tons of resin. This next generation is very promising.

Rebirth Haze (SSH bc1)

Flowering time: 63-77 days

Description: These are f2s of the first back crossing to the SSH mother, which was lost years ago, leading to the “rebirth” of this great haze. Most of these will lean towards the SSH side with some added sweetness from the Destroyer but there were also a few that smelled entirely like the Destroyer’s Colombian side with intense sour lime scents. The SSH smells will vary from sweet funky spice to sweet red licorice with some curing with an added cheese funk. Look out for the ones with fat calyxes and the cheese funk, these had the best flavor, a citrus menthol taste that coats the mouth. Most all of these finish faster than you’d expect and stretch to nearly double in size.

Northern Lights Blvd. (f3)

Description: The f3 generation locked in the desired hair spray/spray paint scents, some adding some slightly sweet berry smells. There are about 3-4 different flower growth patterns, some more dense than others, all with heavy resin production. There are two branching types, one with more stretch than the other but generally not much stretch with these. Great line to breed with and unlock new and different scents.

Super D’Lights

Description: These all lean more towards the Super D (SSH x Destroyer) mother with the added resin and boost in flower density from the NL Blvd father. Most smell like the SSH cutting with a sweet spice with added accents of astringent funk from the NL side, the others have the same sweetness with added ripe fruit scents from the Destroyer side. These were first to flower and finish outside with the more Destroyer leaners taking an extra week or so, but adding a more soaring high. A nice stretch during the first 2 weeks of flowering allow for mini baseball bat size colas.

Description: These came out interesting as it seems to be a good hybrid of both parents, with added resin production and flower density from the NL5 side. Smells range from a slightly sickly sweet floral scent to ones with accents of baby vomit or rotting meat (from the Vietnamese Black side of the Willie Nelson) for lack of a better description. Much like the Hawk side of the genetics, the resin and flowers really go into high production during the last few weeks of finishing. Lots of variation with great aspects to be locked in with further breeding. These will stretch a lot at the beginning of flower and continue through week 2, lots of side branching.

Description: This is THE best plant we’ve created and found during all of our years breeding, and that isn’t said carelessly. It truly checks all the boxes: potency, looks, smell, flavor, resin production and it is also the best washer for hash that I’ve personally seen. Her funky scent is truly wild, sweet ammonia, garlic and onions with black pepper in the background, the dried flowers cure out to funky ammonia stank with kushy-sweet anise undertones. The flavor is truly something else, it coats your entire nasal cavity and mouth on the exhale with a chemical hashy and metallic sweetness that is directly from the Destroyer side of this cross. The flowers grow fat and dense but still very much so like hybrids do with more branching and longer colas. The hash is next level, beyond full melt as unprocessed bubble hash, the most difficult part is drying it as its basically a puddle of resin glands.

Description: She is the direct progeny of the Light f1 #8, and it really shows! This thing is FUNKY! More so in a rather unique way, smelling closer to the funk one finds in the realm of spices and human odors (not in a bad way, if that makes sense). It truly reminds us of the old San Diego favorite, “the hogs (breath)”, which also had a very unique and distinct stank to it that one doesn’t forget easily. There is more citrus brightness on the front end with this cutting along with a spiced perfume with a meaty background. The flowers grow in a way much more akin to the Destroyer side, stretching longer and not as dense as the Light #8, but she produces many more side branches. The flavor is a bright citrus astringent almost like a grapefruity floor cleaner that sticks to your mouth. The hash is also amazing from this one but it doesn’t produce as many fat headed glands like it’s mother does.
