I want a Dungeons and Daddies spinoff - an alternative reality where Glenn never draws the card from the deck that sends him on the path where he ends up on trial. Where he and Nick get to travel to Meth Bay and go on a father-son bonding adventure like the rest of the dads got to do. Where we get a real opportunity for them to open up, they get a chance to talk about Morgan, and Nick can admit to how lonely he was when Glenn was touring.

Cause, yeah, Glenn was a bad dad, but they were ALL bad dads, that was the point. But Glenn was the only dad that was doing it ALONE. At least the other dads had their wives to rely on - the other kids had moms they could go to when their dad was being mean or distant or annoying or just wasn't there. Glenn and Nick didn't have anyone else. Yeah, Glenn could have done things differently, but as far as we were told it's not like he had a support system. His dad was a deadbeat and gone, and who knows about Glenn's mom or Morgan's parents.

Their relationship only got bad when Nick's memory was wiped and Glenn was replaced. Nick was the only kid actually really happy to see his dad when the guys were going around trying to find the kids. (Lark, Sparrow, and Terry Jr were not excited, and Grant seemed indifferent.) Yeah, they needed to work on things, but they weren't really given a real chance.

On multiple occasions, when Glenn was given choices that would have affected Nick, directly or indirectly, if he knew for sure that one of the choices would hurt Nick he would always choose the other. Against Scam Likely, he sacrificed jewels because he thought the alternative would make him unable to provide for Nick, and when he was against the court he agreed to be sent to prison if it meant Nick wouldn't have to endure the loss of a second parent. When he made choices that were bad for Nick it was always because he didn't realize how they were bad for his kid.

Yeah, Glenn was a shit dad, but he loved his kid and he was trying his best. The court never cared if Glenn was good or bad, because when they replaced him it wasn't for a man who would handle the same struggles but do better, it was for a man who was never put to the same test of becoming a widower and single father.

God now that Glenn is alive again I think it'd be really funny if Jodie tried to make him a better person so that he can get into heaven and Jodie doesn't have to deal with him anymore. Like imagine Jodie trying to convince Glenn to get baptized and like donate to charities or some shit just so he no longer has to see Glenn.
