to my beloved stone butches,
i need you to know that i, & other stone femmes, have never once fantasized about “melting” your stone. your boundaries naturally fit with ours & we want you exactly as you are. we don’t feel that we are missing out on anything. we are in awe of how you give every part of yourself to us & thankful that you want us as we are. it’s beautiful that our desires align so perfectly. we were made for one another 💖
love,
an adoring stone femme

I don't know when these terms got muddled but "switch" is for when you can dom and sub and is specifically about bdsm and power play and "vers" is for when you top and bottom and is about penetration in gay sex and that's all those terms mean

for all that T///E///R///Fs like to talk about cis lesbians supposedly getting pressured to date trans women, in my experience as yr local cisbian who dated a trans dude for three years …. there was WAY more pressure in lesbian communities (esp. IRL) to stay in relationships with trans men after they came out as men and to continue accepting them in women’s spaces, which is Fucked Up
and i will never forget how intensely GUILTY i felt for no longer being attracted to him and how much i felt like i should accommodate him and just, like, retrain myself to feel attraction to men specifically for his sake.
(and of course this was always combined with the usual bullshit of “women and trans people welcome!!” meaning “cis women and trans guys allowed, but almost no trans women,” along with the assumption that trans men should be accepted because of their past involvement in women’s communities, the assumption that trans men ~understand what life is like from a woman’s perspective~ and therefore somehow present a Healthier and Safer version of masculinity even though that’s demonstrably fucking false and also transphobic on several levels)
anyway communities that are oriented solely around cis women and trans dfab people are ones i am automatically suspicious of because, historically, they have been pretty damn unsafe for me, and they’re OBVIOUSLY unsafe for my trans girlfriend and a lot of women i love and care about

Everyone wanted to be thicc but nobody wanted to be fat. Everyone wanted the dad bod but nobody wanted to be fat. Everyone wants fat mommy milkers but nobody wants mommy to be fat. Everyone wants to be a bear but not like, an actual fat bear. You get what i’m saying

i just think nobody understands eroticism quite as well as stone butches & femmes. it's not about power or obligation. rather, it's centered explicitly on pleasure and desire - the absolute insistence on our ability to dictate our own pleasure, and the recognition of the pleasure that is inherent to desire.
cisnormative heterosexist patriarchy wants to tell us that sex is not actually about sex. patriarchy teaches incel doctrine - that desire is only relevant for women in relation to social capital, that men's desire is only relevant as a manifestation of violent power, and that pleasure is irrelevant to the whole equation. that's why the aesthetics of sexuality under patriarchy are just not that sexy - "feeling good" only exists in relation to ego, performance, and taboo.
what I love about being a stone butch is that being stone is not a dynamic that can exist without mutual respect and care. and that's because pleasure is so central to stone identity, and my pleasure has EVERYTHING to do with desire. it's about constantly reaffirming that i want my partner and she wants me. it's about having extremely clear boundaries and transparent communication, and finding eroticism in that. i get off on a femme feeling good, i get off on a femme letting me help her feel good. being stone means trusting your partner to know what they like, and the eroticism comes from that trust

Honestly I am SO ANGRY that so many people reblogged that ‘lesbians and gay men used to fuck all the time before definitions and labels caged us’ post like it was the next big thing and are only now realizing they messed up when it comes out that the op is a man with a fetish for correctively raping lesbians.
That post was fucked up from the beginning and I am sick of people pushing this idea of sexual fluidity as the base state of things when it is literally! Always! Focused on the idea that lesbians can, will, should, or secretly want to be with men!
And with the whole ‘bi lesbian’ thing and this MASSIVE push to make the label lesbian inclusive to people who are attracted to men (like, folks couldn’t be satisfied with Sapphic? Bi? Queer? WLW?) And even the lgbt wiki changing the definition of lesbian so it didn’t exclude attraction to men, it’s quickly becoming a reality where there’s literally no label (at least in English) that describes the experience of having exclusively sapphic attraction.
And like it or not we’re always going to exist! And we deserve to have a word that describes our experiences! I am honestly so worried for the young lesbians just trying to figure themselves out when there’s no words to describe how they’re feeling I stg.
TERFs and other transmisogynists don’t even breath on this post! This isn’t for you and trans women always have and always will belong in the lesbian community. Get lost!
