Yesterday my grandma passed away in her sleep, 37 days shy of 100, no machines, decently healthy, no cognitive decline (at least not anymore than my own) just sleep. I guess we can’t ask for much more than that, eh? I really believed we’d make it to 100. We made her a special birthday candle holder for 3 numbers. And I’m just pissed at the world I had Covid the last month of her life. What kind of fucked up twist of fate is that? So I couldn’t even see her one last time? My question is: wtf world?

She didn’t answer the last 2 phone calls, only coincidentally. Couldn’t even have that last talk. Today I picked out some things of hers; that helps, I suppose.

If you have any extra Billy Butcher hugs; I’ll take one.

And I hope you’re doin’ as good as a cold sweet tea on a swelterin’ porch day. x
