If I had money, I would donate, but I would love to hear how she is doing. Hope everything works out, cats are so precious! I know it sounds obvious, but you might want to watch on letting her go outside. I lost my sweet kitty about a year ago because he got into the road.

Help me take Layla to a vet. Please.

This is Layla. She is not even 2 months old by what seems. I found her outside my house, maybe 2 days ago, she was so hungry she ate a whole cup of cat food that i got from a neighbout.

Since then, we got her inside, got her a pot of food, water, we got a cardboard box and an old shirt and she’s been adopted.

The problem is, i need to take her to a vet. Her belly is a little too big for her and i think she is sick. and she has those weird fur-less spots on her which she keeps itching and these are parts of her skin that have like a crost, as if its scars, i dont know… But i think its scabies, most probably, or some kind of fungus, or bacteria, i dont know really. It’s why i have to take her.

Its not as bad as before because i’m using a cream i had i used for me, that is super great for healing scars and stuff like that, but i still need to take her to a vet.

If you could help me with any $5 bucks so i could take Layla to a vet, i would appreciate it very much.

I really love her already. I cant sit on the front yard without her crawling up on me and laying on my lap. She really loves me back. She meows until i let her come sit on me. HAHHA

I GOT TO SIT IN THE IMPALA!!!

So I went to my very first Convention and they had a replica Impala called Charlie the Impala. I don't think this particular one has ever been on the show, but Jensen, Jared, and Misha have all either been in or touched this Impala. They signed the visors and it even had the little army guy and the initials in the back and of course the trunk full of stuff because you can't have Baby without the trunk right? I got to sit in the driver's side, the exact spot that Jensen himself has sat in! I didn't properly know how to pose though and of course couldn't tell how I looked before the photos were taken, but it was really cool and I'm still going to post the photos anyway! Oh and I got to hold an Angel Blade, they told me to be careful with it cuz it's actually sharp! I got to choose between holding that, a shotgun, or a grenade launcher thing.

This so much, about every TV Show I love. And I'm so sick of people not understanding how emotionally I get attached to it and that what the characters mean to me is very real. That maybe a show was there for me during a time in my life that nothing else was or it makes me feel something. Like I know they're not real, but that doesn't mean that I don't have the right to be SAD or MAD or HAPPY or EXCITED about the characters or something that happens in the show. I hate when someone says, "But it's not real." In a way that's basically saying, "It's not real so why do you care? Or how could you be emotional about something that's NoT EveN REAL?"

Now I’m thinking about how often Dean and Cas encounter each other in that bunker kitchen. Maybe they have coffee together some mornings, even though Cas doesn’t really need to eat or drink anything but does just for the flavor and to sit there with Dean. Maybe Cas, wandering the bunker late at night, because he doesn’t need to sleep, ends up in the kitchen and finds Dean there at 2 am and Cas is all suspicious about why Dean isn’t asleep. Cas notices the dark circles under Dean’s eyes. He doesn’t want to pry but he sits down across from where Dean is eating his late-night snack and does his “how are you, no really” routine, and after s,ome eye-rolling and busying himself with adding more mustard to his sandwich Dean finally confesses that yeah he had a nightmare, and Cas says “you can tell me about it if you feel like it,” so Dean does. Or maybe one morning Cas finds Dean in there before Sam or Jack are awake, making pancakes for everyone, and Dean tries to talk Cas into having some with them. “So what if you don’t actually need to eat, they taste good. Also we have real maple syrup, Cas. I got some at the farmer’s market.” Or Cas follows Dean in there when Dean goes to get a beer and they bicker about their latest monster or archangel problems and what to do about it. And by now Dean’s almost forgotten that Cas was ever not there, living the bunker, and Cas has almost forgotten to feel out of place–and one night when they’re alone, Dean just pushes Cas up against the fridge and starts kissing him and Cas kisses him back and it’s like they’ve always been here, doing this, since the start.

Everytime something is wrong, Cas is the one Dean WANTS to talk to. Cas is the comfort Dean craves. A part of Dean definitely knows that and even senses it, but if asked he would never really admit that. Dean knows that Cas can handle whatever he tells him, knows that he'll do his best to understand. But, most of all Dean knows that Cas will listen, that he cares, and that he will provide the comfort Dean is always yearning for. I wonder if it even scares Dean realizing how much he needs Cas, but in a way maybe he stopped caring because he knows he can't deal with everything alone and Cas always makes it better, makes his world a little brighter.

I might have enjoyed this post a little too much.

The Complete Beginner’s Guide to Supernatural:

1.  This is Dean.  

He hunts monsters.

He’s completely straight. 

And always extremely manly.

And also very dominant. 

2.  This is Sam.

He’s Dean’s brother/monster hunting partner.  They’re both very mature together.

He’s completely normal.  Never soulless or possessed or anything.

No emotional scarring or psychological trauma going on here.  Nope.

3.  This is Castiel.  

He’s an angel of the lord. 

As such, he’s obviously very intimidating.  

Very mighty.  

All fear this terrifying, fell creature. 

4.  There is absolutely no homoerotic sexual tension in Supernatural. 

5.  Its villains are mostly demons and other unholy creatures, so of course, no one likes them.

Except for this guy.  Everyone LOVES him.  

6.  Its fans are very calm, sane, rational people who are completely accepting of opinions that differ from their own. 

7.  And of course, you will absolutely be able to maintain your sanity after watching it!

You will NOT be plunged into an existential depression over the well-being of fictional characters. 

And when you’ve run out of episodes to watch, you’ll totally be able to return to reality, no questions asked!

Update on my Sis watching SPN & Destiel

Okay, so I have some good news and some bad new about this topic.

My sister's husband, My Brother-in-Law saw her watching Supernatural and was like, "What's this?" and watched a few episodes with her, this was during Season 1. He ended up liking it and they watched Season 2 together. When he had to go back to work my sister couldn't help herself and watch Seasons 3 and 4 without him.

At this point she ran out of seasons I had lent her so she texted me saying, "I need my Sam and Dean fix! I will have to get more on the weekend."

In response to this I asked, "What happened in the last episode you watched?"

She gave me a brief summary of the very end of Season 4 and I laughed because that is a crazy part to end on. I immediately watched the next episode when I got to that finale, but she didn't have anymore to watch yet. I couldn't imagine how people must've felt that watched that when it was still airing.

Anyway, I eventually gave her Seasons 5, 6, and 7. She was like, "I hope my husband isn't mad that I watched 2 Seasons without him."

Fast forward to tonight and my Sister told me, "You don't even want to know how late he stayed up watching."

Looking somewhat guilty and making a confession he said, "I stayed up until 4 in the morning! Supernatural is awesome! I'm already caught up to where your sister was!"

I started to get all hyped and in my head I was thinking, yes showed another person the greatness that is Supernatural! And I just loved the fact that he wasn't afraid to say how much he loved it. I've got them hooked on some other good shows too.

As I was leaving their house I said, "Good, now jump on board my ship that is Destiel! You better ship it when I see you again!" At this point though, my sister kind of just thinks I'm crazy and her husband already knows how crazy I am. Haha.

I'm not gonna lie and say that her response didn't break my heart a bit as she said, "I'm not on board, sorry." But, to be fair they're only on the very start of Season 5 so she doesn't know Cas all that well yet. I don't think she has officially fallen in love with him yet, I know shame on her. Who wouldn't love Cas? I just want to get her to admit that she gets Destiel. In the sense that she sees it and understands what others see. I want her to admit that she sees and senses all of the tension and looks that Cas and Dean share. She doesn't have to actually ship it, just sort of get it. That's my goal. I haven't given up yet. Also, I want to say thank you to everyone who takes the time to interact with me and also ships Destiel or any of the same ships I do. You understand me, you know that Destiel is real. You also pick up on the insane chemistry they have. You know that they're one of the greatest love stories even if it's not officially Canon. You get me. Thank you! You have no idea how much that means to me. Tumblr is such an amazing place and I'm so glad I joined.

This is why I ALWAYS leave enthusiastic comments on stories and fanfiction that I've read and enjoyed, because I am eternally grateful that someone was willing to share something that they put so much work, time, and effort into creating. I am so happy to be able to read it and leaving feedback is the least that I can do. If I can let the writer know that their time was worth something, that their story made a difference to me. I hope that maybe my comment can help them feel as satisfied in some sense. That their fic impacted at least one person. And as a writer it can be really scary releasing something and not receiving any feedback, not knowing if anyone even likes it. So, if you enjoy a fanfiction and ever think that leaving a comment won't be worth it because, "There are already a lot of comments, mine won't make a difference." Or, "I don't possibly know what to say to fully express my appreciation." Or whatever other reasons you may have, say something anyway. The time you take to write your comment won't be even close to the time the author took to create their work of art, you owe your comment to them as a thank you for sharing their creation with you. It doesn't matter if you don't know what to say even a simple, "I love this story." can make the biggest difference. We need to offer as much encouragement in this world as we possibly can.

When I say “Fanfiction is free” part of what I’m saying is yes, you did not pay for the thing.

But I saw a comment from someone that made me realize the rest of the intention behind these words is being lost.

Fanfiction is provided for free, but it is not produced for free.

Authors pay their effort, including physical and emotional and mental. Authors pay their time, in planning the story (mental time) and writing the story (physical time). Sometimes it’s less than an hour for something quick and dirty, like askbox prompts. Sometimes it’s years of their lives in epic fic hundreds of thousands of words long. Authors pay additional time to alpha read their own stories, trying to make sure that they’re free of SPAG errors and make sense and sound good. Beta readers pay their time and effort alongside the authors for editing the stories. Authors pay for posting their stories with all of the anxieties that come from allowing their work - which to this point they have invested all of the above - into the public eye because while it has certainly cost them a good amount to produce the story, fandom history has proved that many other people out there enjoy fanfiction, and authors believe that at least someone else will enjoy their story, too.

What I am saying when I say “fanfiction is free” is that it costs the writers a lot of something in order to produce it. A lot has already been paid into a piece of fanfiction by the time it is available for readers to read. The expense of fanfiction creation is, by and large, resting squarely atop the shoulders of writers.

What I am saying when I say “fanfiction is free” is that readers don’t have to pay the cost of creating fanfiction.

What I am saying when I say “fanfiction is free” is that readers don’t have to pay in anything - not time, not money, not effort, not anything - in order for fanfiction to be created. It’s a donation. It’s a gift. It’s available for you to take or leave, at the expense of someone else.

Writers have, for a very long time, requested donations of one thing as remuneration for everything they put into making fanfiction: comments. Authors have asked, in so many different iterations: “If you have consumed what I have labored and invested in to create and if you have found any enjoyment in it, please tell me, so that I can recharge enough to do this again.” Some of them may recharge on critical comments, but most of us don’t because we’ve already paid everything we want to pay to create the story.

What I am saying when I say “fanfiction is free” isn’t just that it doesn’t cost you any money. I am saying “Please respect the time and effort you didn’t have to pay into creating this thing you enjoyed, by respecting the individual creator’s requests.”

What I am saying when I say “fanfiction is free” is “be kind to authors, they have paid a lot for this gift they’re sharing with all of us, and they deserve to feel like it was worth it.”

What I am saying when I say “fanfiction is free” is “please don’t charge authors more time and emotional effort than what they’ve already provided you at no absolute cost.”

I’m not saying any of this to argue. It’s a fact that authors pay into providing fanfiction. They do it for fun. They do it out of love. They do it because they enjoy writing. No one is making them do it. No one is paying them to start or finish the story. That doesn’t mean it’s not WORK. And the only return they get on what they put into the story is the kindness of strangers that invest a little bit back by leaving a nice comment. That is why they stay, that is why they do it again, that is why we have fanfiction.

What I am saying when I say “fanfiction is free” is “please don’t be the one charging authors so much more that they leave.”

What I am saying when I say “fanfiction is free” is “please keep it that way.”
