Bayou the dragon, a stunted potential cradle god.

Bayou was a fish who, despite several setbacks, through determination and sheer force of will, completed the tribulations to become a dragon.

Through the worlds will he was set to become a god ,however soon after his ascension he was found by mozun and entered a contract that restricted his potential and bound him to mozun "the god of water" a traveling god.

After adjusting out of his more simple fish mindset and finding the cost of the contract, Bayou entered a state of rage that lasted hundreds of years. luckily over said time he has mellowed out to a calm ,if not jaded, temperament ,but his past anger has yet to leave his face.

Let me info dump my cool guy ideas into your brain please.

To the person who requested something a while ago: I did part of it in a state of pure inspiration, then I got really sick and lost said inspiration and now I just stare at it, but I swear I can feel it, I'm almost there my body is almost ready to stop procrastinating.

The slight changes really pulled the design together for me! The silver really makes my eye and perfectly matches the vibe I desired.

In all honesty I never really thought too much on the colors I use in a technical sense (thank you for giving me the benefit of the doubt with the Complimentary colors TT), that's always second to the feelings the colors give me, the colors I want and whatever Inspired me.

This character was actually based off a type of tree dwelling porcupine that was yellow, so I wanted the color to be yellow, but echidnas are more on the red side so I added a tinsy bit of red.

I wanted a black to match one of the reference porcupines, but I thought it was too harsh, so I settled on a warm dark purple because it felt like closing my eyes with a dim light Sorce.

I did actually choose the blue for that reason so score one for me!

And the shoes were just a temporary color (like those missing textures), but with the silver, it just feels natural. so this actually makes me wanna keep then that way!

Fun fact: this was started before I had any design down for the no place versions, mostly because it's was easier to imagine a design in a pose, even then it led nowhere

We were joking about giving him the shadow backstory treatment of killing off his marie(A) for his sonic life.

Ok so i was cockblocked from my character development by YouTube labeling the sonic x shadow generations teaser thing as for kids while I was finally stating my opinion on something in public. so I'm just gonna put my comment here, and instead of rewriting it for a different format or just posting the screenshots of my "conversation" with my friends here, I'll just copy and paste my insecure comment (its like the sparknotes of spark notes).

"It looks nice but i feel kirks voice doesn't properly portray shadows emotions which lessens much of the emotional impact for me, and I honestly don't think shadow would act the way he did here (specifically just the punching the ground part stuck out to me). I went long tirade just about shadow falling to the ground and punching it out of frustration in my friends group chat. I feel that shadow would have balled his fist to the point of pain, yes, but wouldn't punch the ground out of sadness or frustration. Shadow as he's portrayed in sa2 has me believing he's more the type to cry standing in place or do as dying pets do and hide away. I rewatched some of the cutscenes for shadow the hedgehog, sa2, sonic heros, and sonic 06 and I couldn't find an instance of shadow showing or venting his emotions in that way and even his losing animation in sa2 only has him looking down then up. He's prideful of his ability and really wishes to help so being unable to would seriously frustrate him but I feel they just got how he shows his feelings incorrect, punching is more a knuckles or hell even sonic thing.

It's kinda hard to rearticulate all the things I said to my friends, I have more to say I just don't know how to say it {:

All I was trying to say was shadow is an inherently emotional character that has a particular way of reacting to emotional stimuli that I feel they miss the mark on here and replaced with less character specific reactions. And I don't really like the vocal performance, but that's something I can deal with on my own in a multitude of ways."
