even if you were able to convince hunger taking someone’s bodily autonomy from them was a heinous thing to do, it would believe itself to be absolved of any blame and would double down because, if anything, pax is the intruder. it claimed his body fair and square because it was an empty corpse when the demon possessed it. it’s pax’s fault for putting himself back into his body. maybe he should’ve thought about that before he got murdered in a sacrificial ritual.

the first time pax brought pumpkin to cloud ruler temple, she refused to walk through or even touch the snow. being found in the blackwood region and presumably born there, pax believed this was her first encounter with snow and thought she’d start following him again once he went on ahead up the trail and after she got used to it. nope. she howled and cried, paced back and forth at the edge of the snow line. it actually somehow got louder the further from her he went. turns out he wasn’t as stubborn as she was and caved. turned mero back around. martin and the blades got to witness pax leading a very confused horse up the mountain path with a war hound who seemed very proud of herself draped over the saddle.

im not doing much writing lately, especially this week bc work … and then i have my first concert concert with a friend on my days off i’ll be traveling to . it’s just been bleh

there’s stagnation with undeath in some cases, i think. and a lot of things pax does or thinks doesn’t make sense from an outside perspective but at the same time. logical fallacies. possibly stimming from a lack of actual brain activity, everything being filtered through the curse of vampirism / possession. the struggle trying to stay true to the stronger aspects of what they were while others being warped and scorned - in some cases .

a templar going into a fight knowing pax is a mage and preemptively blocking his magic, so pax simply goes alright and headbutts them into oblivion.

i think spirits talked to pax a lot but he never knew it as such because it always sounded like disembodied whispers and humming like ,,, yk the ambience in elven ruins in oblivion? like to think the hok [ pax ] can actually Hear That. he doesn’t say anything because it’s always been like that and he thinks it’s mostly normal.

anyway pax was physically and mentally not in the position to be leading a legion to deal with the mythic dawn. doing so did play a major part in them getting decimated and everyone slaughtered. however, no possible decision he could’ve made had a clear chance of success over the other. the empire was collapsing and they lost so many experienced legionnaires to the oblivion crisis. they were lucky to have a standing army at all.

throwing cyrodiil into da and i think they used to be a vassal to tevinter years and years ago. enough where there’s a lot of overlap in culture and language. cyrodilic using tevene as the root - fantasy latin - and both having ancient greek / roman aspects. enough to where pax, dorian and neve can communicate with each other outside of the trade / common language. enough for them to pick up when pax curses in cyrodilic because he doesn’t like people to know when he is cursing in the first place.
