Im going to try and get everything out about Trent in one last post because I want to stop thinking about him. In his entire career, the only people defending him has been Liverpool fans, he could have had the shittest game of all time and we’d still defend him or make excuses for him. We were all over the moon when he was made vc, and all had hopes of him being captain a few years ago. But then this whole season he’s avoided media, press conferences, all of which are his literal job he gets paid millions to do. To top it off, he’s been patronising towards fans with his celebrations, and truly has just been playing games with the fans all season. He didn’t try his best this season, and I think he was hoping Slot would be shit, so that he’d have an excuse to leave. But it’s been the best season we’ve had in a while. And for him to be avoiding media all season, only to be front and centre during the trophy lift feels like such a slap in the face. His Madrid announcement was lacking in authenticity, much of most of what he’s done for the past couple years. It’s disappointing this is happened this season, it feels like it’s dampened the celebrations too much. In all honesty I’m sick of thinking about him and can’t wait till he’s gone now.
