Are you read to match the heatwaves of summer with some killer writing or amazing artwork? Well back by popular demand, welcome to Top Gun's Endless Summer Exchange for a 2nd year!

This event, open to all ships and ratings, looks to turn up the heat with a fic and art exchange that adds a twist to the typical prompt assignment to ensure everyone gets to write or draw what they want! (more on that in the rules/info) 

To participate in this exchange, you must be 18+ and be prepared (as a writer) to post a completed fic of at least 2k words. All works will need to have a summer theme or connection, from a sweaty game of beach volleyball in July to a character reminiscing on a hot summer romance in the depths of winter and everything in between!

Time to Wrap it Up!

After 68 pieces were submitted to this event, we couldn't just end it with a "Goodbye thanks for playing!" So we decided to break down the hard work of all our participants! Check it out:

Out of 68 fandom works, we saw a total of 15 different main ships!

Of those 68 fandom works, we had 7 fanarts and 61 fics! (Plus 1 surprise ficlet!)

With so many works, the breakdown of ratings was really fun to look at! 44% were Explicit, 22% were Teen, 20% were General, and 13% were rated Mature!

Viewer beware! Over 1/3 of these pieces include sharks!! 25 works mentioned or highlighted sharks at least once!

Out of the whopping 643,864 words written! the word Summer was used 221 times!

We couldn't have imagined a better summer event, and that's thanks to all of you!

Maybe in the end it'll all be okay, he's the only expendable one anyway. So Jake takes the hit, and goes down. But Bradley Bradshaw doesn't let him go alone and comes back for him.
