Arrested

“KEZEKET A LEVEGŐBE!”(Hands in the air!) came a strained raspy voice trough a loudspeaker

I was squinting hard as my eyes adjusted to the harsh light, my right arm still blocking a large portion of it. Nak was looking much worse, his eyes closed, shut tight, both his upper arms blocking as much light as possible, his face contorted in a painful grimace. His eyes likely much more light sensitive than mine trading range for better night vision, evolution in this instance was a bitch to him, the police floodlights must have almost blinded him.

Before i could process what the voice even said i heard a bunch of feet quickly shuffle towards us and in the next moment both of us were tackled to the ground. The team of officers quickly cuffed us, pulled us back to our feet and stuffed us in the patrol cars that were just behind the lights.

Time passed and minutes became hours, on the bridge Kiela was getting more and more nervous, pacing back and forth.

“Where IS he, he should have been back long ago...”

The place where Nak had landed on Earth was behind the planets moon at this point as well as they themselves were laying low in orbit of the next planet in the system that they now knew was called Mars and didn’t want to risk discovery just yet, so for now they were blind to what was happening on Earth.

“Try hailing the captain again!” she ordered one of her subordinates

A couple quick clicks could be heard and then...

“Captain this is the Terkwrat, do you copy...”

“... “The line remained silent, the comms officer tried again...

“Captain Nakqr’ this is the Terkwrat, DO you copy?...”

“... “The result was again, the same.

Another 10 minutes pass, the ships scopes all trained on the spot where the shuttle landed on Earth behind the moon, all waiting for the big rock to move so they could finally see. The minutes dragged ever so slowly as the crew nervously waited, then they started to see flashing blue and red lights and the shuttle illuminated by dozens of large harsh white lights. Around the craft they were able to see a small army of people scrambling everywhere... they knew immediately, things have gone terribly wrong in the past couple hours.

The cops took us to the nearest police station in separate cars and now i was sitting in an interrogation room, alone and nervous. One of the walls had a huge one-way mirror, I’m sure they are watching me, either waiting for the right moment to burst in to intimidate me the most or are currently trying to get Nak to talk or worse.

“Shit...” i said under my breath. I shifted in the chair lookin around, nervously rubbing my chin.

Out of nowhere the door to the room almost exploded, a detective stood in the doorway. He sighed angrily and stepped into the room. I looked up at him my eyes narrowed slightly my face became serious and I could feel my nervousness pulling back deep within my body. I watched as the detective made his way to the table that i was seated at and sat before me.

“Hol van..”(Where is..) I was cut off by him

“NEM te vagy aki itt a kérdéseket felteszi...”(You are NOT the one who is asking the questions here) he pointed a finger at me “TE szépen válaszolni fogsz minden kérdésre amit felteszek és HA kielégítőnek találom a válaszaid akkor TALÁN nem mész a bíróság elé hazaárulásért...”(YOU will answer my every question that i ask and IF i find your answers satisfactory then MAYBE you wont be put in front of a court for treason...)

“M M MI!? Hazaárulás? Mi a faszt csináltam én, hogy hazaárulással vádol!?”(Wha Wha What?! Treason? What the fuck did i do that you are accusing me with treason.)

“Állami titkokat árultál el ismeretlen erőknek amivel aláástad az ország de talán a bolygó biztonságát.”(You have disclosed state secrets whereby you undermined the security of the country or maybe even the planet.)

“MILYEN ÁLLAMI TITKOKAT, semmilyen titkokról sem tudok. Egy kicseszett szerelő és hobbi pilóta vagyok az isten szerelmére.”(WHAT STATE SECRETS, i don’t know of any secrets. For god’s sake I’m an F-ing mechanic and a hobby pilot.) I sighed  “Ok nézze, igen beszélgettünk jó pár dologról, DE semmi olyat nem tudok s ezáltal semmi olyan ‘érzékenyet’ nem tudok elfecsegni ami ne lenne könnyedén elérhető az interneten, csak kérdezze mag Nakot.”(Ok look, yes we have talked about quite a few things, BUT i don’t know anything that isn’t easily available on the internet therefor i can’t divulge anything that’s ‘sensitive’, just ask Nak.)

The detective looked me over with a cold gaze as i was on my tirade then just said...

“Tehát Nak a neve...” (So it’s name is Nak...) he leaned back in his chair.

I blinked a couple times and lifted my head a little in confusion before saying

“Várjunk csak egy kicsit ... még nem beszéltek vele?”(Wait hold up... you haven’t talked to him yet?

Just as I finished the sentence the door to the interrogation room opened again but this time the figure that stood in the door was less angry and more worried.

“Nyomozó ennek itt és most vége. Tamást most azonnal engedje el az űrlénnyel együtt.”(Detective this ends right here right now. You will release Thomas and the alien this instant.)

“De kapitány...”(But captain...) The police captain held up his hand sharply silencing the detective.

“Semmi de, új fejlemények történtek és ezáltal ez a letartóztatás sosem történt meg, értette!?”(NO buts, new developments happened and thus this arrest never happened, understand?!)

I was led out of the room and into the lobby of the station where I got back my stuff. I stood there dumbfounded to what just happened. After a few minutes Nak was led into the lobby as well, when i saw him i saw that his left shoulder was bandaged and his left upper arm was held up by sling.

“Well this was a first ...” he said as he walked up to me with an officer in tow.

“Wait you speak English?!” said the woman as they came to a halt in front of me. Nak turned to her and sighed.

“Well yes i do speak English with the help of a translator, but you didn’t bother to find that out in the last ... how many hours?”

“ 13 ...We were brought in roughly 13 hours ago ...” I answered his frustrated question. “What happed to you...”

“Well when they tackled us to the ground i hit some rock and felt my arm go limp, turns out my shoulder got dislocated. Don’t worry i should be back to normal in no time...” he said turning away from the officer and back to me with a smile on his face. I smiled and shook my head a little.

“Do you know why they let us go?” he asked. I opened my mouth to answer him but before i could the doors of the station were thrown open and a big group of the ships crew flooded inside led by Kiela and followed by a bunch of human diplomats as well as the minister of defense.

“There you two are. By the Gods, are you ok captain?!” she said as she marched up.

Turns out once the crew realized what happened they scrambled together a diplomatic team mostly consisting of the department heads on the ship and contacted the Hungarian government. They got us out, but by doing that they basically announced to the whole planet that yes in fact humanity is not alone in the universe, not by a longshot. Now Humanity knew that not just aliens existed but that there is an intergalactic federation.

Yeah...things are going to get interesting ... i hope we don’t F it up.

Q&A

“Everyone please welcome Tommy a member of the first sentient species from a class 12 planet!”

With that Nak stepped down from the box he was standing on and suddenly a chorus of dozens of voices started yelling and shouting questions at me, everyone trying to out yell the other. It was so much and so sudden that the translator that Nak gave me just minutes before couldn’t keep up and started to translate only single words as it tried to switch between so many voices.

Nak and the doctor stepped up next to me and started to try and calm the people down but it wasn’t looking good. I myself was getting more and more overwhelmed so in a split second decision at turned on my heals and walk out of the hangar closing the door behind me, and leaned on the wall of the hallway. At that point the crowd was so engrossed with their arguing that they didn’t even notice that I was gone. The voices were so loud that even behind a door that cloud most likely resist the vacuum of space i was still able to hear them.

Leaning next to the wall I sighed deeply and looked up at the ceiling.

“ That was a bit much...” I muttered to myself.

“ Yeah they can be overwhelming sometimes.” a soft reassuring voice said next to me, the voice startled me so much that i jumped, my arms flailed wildly before quickly settling in a defensive position. That's when i saw a small, well compered to me small creature covered in fur, I’m about 180 cm the alien standing in front of me was about 140. If i had to describe how she?... hmm the voice that came from my translator was definitely female... anyway if I had to describe her i would go with a kangaroo mixed with a fennec fox, although her fur was white.

Once I realized I wasn’t in danger I lowered my hands and relaxed.

“You startled me...”

“I can see that... didn’t mean to sneak up you, sorry.”

“No no, no need to apologize, i just didn’t expect anyone...” I sighed “anyway my name’s Tommy nice to meet ya.” Out of reflex i reach out my hand for a handshake but unlike Nak she took it after a second or two.

“Nice to meet you too, I’m Kiela. I’m the ships comms expert... i was the one that pick up the radio signals that led us here in the first place.” Her deep brown eyes sparkled with joy as she looked at me.

“What is your planet like, considering it is a class 12 one, it is hard for me to imagine how a species that looks so much like the captains could survive there?

“Uhm... well ... first, what does class 12 mean anyway?”

“Oh oh ok, well there are 15 classes altogether ... the first 3 are uninhabitable because they are basically just huge rock without any sort of atmosphere to speak of and the last 3 are just so volatile that we just thought that no species could survive for long enough to become intelligent on them...” she said really quickly and all flustered.

“Oh ... well ok. So to answer you question there are places on Earth that are relatively safe and nowadays we have all kinds of technologies for detecting and tracking the more dangerous stuff...like the place where Nak picked me up the Carpathian basin, we don’t get anything overtly dangerous like earthquakes or tornados or extreme colds ... the most dangerous stuff we do get are lightning storms and you can easily deal with that by just going indoors...” i trailed of there as i saw Kiela’s eyes narrow slightly at my mention of Nak.

“Nak, do you mean  Nakqr’hlirgmkoz the captain?”

“Yep, i just can’t pronounce his name, not yet anyway, and he was ok with me calling him just Nak.” I said rubbing the back of my neck.

Before either of us could ask any more the door behind me opened and the others were looking in rather concerned, then Nak piped up...

“Ah of course it is our sweet Kiela the one that saves the day once again!” 

At his sudden exclamation she started to fidget a little in embarrassment ...

“Captain i didn’t save anything i just didn’t act all childish like the rest of the crew here.” Her fidgeting stopped by the second half of her sentence and she looked sternly and disapprovingly at the large group behind the captain.

“Were you able to calm them down enough for us to rejoin you?” she looked back at Nak her expression immediately softening.

“In fact i was!” He said putting his hands balled lightly into fists on his hips and he puffed his chest out striking a pose what i could only call a Superman pose but with four arms.

With that Kiela grabbed my hand and led my dumbstruck ass back into the hangar and ordered the group to quickly set a bunch of crates up for seating. She organized it so everyone was able to see and to be seen and set me down in front of them flanked on either side by Nak and herself. With this setup and her constant policing of the crew i started answering question left and right and the others answered my questions as well. Before i knew it hours had passed and we talked about all kind of topics including but not limited to humanity in general as well as certain individuals, all the different kinds of species among the crew and the species in the wider universe, technologies, cultures and a lot of other minor stuff.

“... so yeah after that pandemic it took us quite a few decades to recover properly.” i reached down into my pocket and pulled out my phone. On the screen the time read 02:14.

“ Ahh ..crap.” I grimaced at my phone.

With that exclamation pretty much everyone looked at me, the quiet murmur and the occasional chuckle died down and Kiela put her hand on my right arm in which i held my phone, she opened her mouth to say something but before she could Nak spoke.

“Is everything alright?” he said with a concerned voice.

“Yeah it just got really late really quick and my mum’s probably gonna kill me when i get home...” I said looking up at Nak with a half smile.

His eyes widened with horror and he opened his mouth to speak but nothing came out, Kiela’s grip on my arm tightened as well. Realizing my mistake I quickly said..

“Figuratively speaking of course...” I chuckled nervously and raised my hands in a calming manner. Nak and Kiela relaxed but as i quickly glanced over at the others some of the were not entirely convinced.

“Alright, that’s it for today then, we should probably get you back home before we get you in even more trouble right?” Nak said smiling and shaking his head.

“That would be appreciated, but i would really like to come back sometime i really enjoyed my time here.”

“Oh you can count on it.” Nak said followed by a chorus of yeahs and definitelys by the rest of the group. We stood from our crates and headed towards the shuttle that we came in. Nak jumped in first and started on his preflight check, i followed after but was stopped by Kiela who pulled me down to her level, took my cap off and frizzled my hair than handed my cap back to me.

“There you look better this way... now take care of yourself ok! You’ll be back with us in no time i promise.” with that she let go and ushered me into the shuttle.

“Go go before one these brutes behind me changes their mind and keeps you here for safekeeping.” 

I just smiled and waved to everyone as i got in the shuttle. Nak closed the door and started the engine, a couple minutes later we were in the air and headed out the airlock back to Earth.

I settled myself back into the copilot seat and watched Earth growing bigger in my vision. Nak and I talked some more as we landed back behind my house and we were laughing as we walked down the shuttle’s ramp when suddenly everything became white as floodlights lit us up. Both of us quickly put our hands before our eyes to shield them from the blinding light.

Meeting the crew

“We will be docking with my ship in a few minutes” Nak said and as the shuttle left Earth’s atmosphere completely all the turbulences suddenly stopped, and everything went quiet. All i was able to hear was the rumble of the engines and Nak’s flight equipment’s quiet beeping.

I got up from my seat and took a few steps towards the cockpit, i stopped at it’s door and held onto the frame. As i looked out in front of us i narrowed my eyes in concetration and i saw a ship in the distance, it was barely bigger than a the speck of a star in the vast blackness but it was really far away. Before i could open my mouth Nak looked up at me and said

“ I wouldn’t stand there if I were you, that's the emergency door and if the shuttle loses pressure ...”

I quickly looked down at him while i stepped forward my mouth slightly open

“If you want to look out front just sit in the copilot seat... just don’t touch anything!”

i nodded and sat down next to him. Now the ship in the distance was just a little bit bigger and I pointed to it.

“Is that your ship over there?”

Nak looked at me surprised ...

“ You can already see it?”

“ Yeah, it’s pretty small from here but i can definitely see it... must be huge up close...”

Nak turned back to his instruments ...

“Interesting....”

“Why you can’t?”

“No... and no species we know of can see that far ...”

“Oh...Hmm...”

I looked down at the instruments in front of me, this being the copilot seat it was an exact copy of Nak’s side. The first thing that caught my eye was an artificial horizon of course useless in space but comes in hand in atmosphere, than next was what i assumed was an altitude gauge but as I couldn’t read alien i was not 100% sure than next a radar screen and a bunch of buttons with labels that i couldn’t read but must be for power, engine, etc. The last thing i saw before i looked up again was the comms screen light up, and than as looked out of the windscreen again my vision was filled with an absolutely huge spaceship in front of us.

“That was quick...” I sat there wide eyed half shocked how fast that little speck became a giant.  Nak reached out and engaged the comms and started speaking an alien language, I looked at him and than back out again as the response came and the ship opened up before us. As the doors opened we flew in, the doors closed behind us and with a loud hiss air was vented in around us, once the pressure equalized another set of huge doors opened. Behind those doors laid an immense hangar filled with all kinds of vehicles and equipment as well as at lest two more shuttles as far as i could see. Between the items all around i could see figures of all shapes and sizes moving around working, some were even flying.

“Woow... so many species, I fell like a little kid again watching one of those sci.fi movies but....I’m ...I’m actually here, this is amazing!” I was at this point leaning forward looking out below us grinning like an idiot not even trying to contain my excitement.  Nak looked at me for second and smiled but said nothing before quickly concentrating back on the controls and landing the shuttle next to the others. As the landing gear settled he shut off the engine and powered down the machine before he stood. Now standing he looked at me smiled and said...

“Come now let’s meet the crew, and we’ll answer all your questions, i bet you have a lot. After that I think the crew has just as much if not more for you as well.”

“Alriiight...” I practically jumped from my seat and followed after Nak.

He opened the shuttle door and a ten person group waited for us outside the door in full hazmat suits although these suits were nothing like i ever saw.

“Oh yeah i forgot about them... “ Nak looked up the ceiling sighing deeply.

“No no, it’s better this way now that i think about it the human body is kind of a hotbed of all kinds of bacteria and illnesses... it’s actually good that you didn’t shake my hand earlier, i wouldn’t want to give you some virus that’s able to jump the species barrier.” I said turning to the hazmat team.

Nak stepped up next to me  “ I’m not worried my species has one of the strongest immune systems in the galaxy but thank you for the consideration, although it is quite concerning what you just said for the rest if the ship.”

While we talked the team erected some kind of energy field around the shuttle and one of them walk up to us handing Nak two small circular objects. Nak put one on his robe handed the other to me saying...

“This will incircle you in an energy field similar to the one that covers us and the shuttle right now so we can be safely moved to the medical bay for examination.”

I put the device on my shirt as Nak activated his by pressing the middle so i followed suit and turned mine on as well. After that we were quickly moved and examined thoroughly. They determined that most of what was in me was not able to affect others and the few that were dangerous they could make vaccines for rather quick, so me and Nak waited in one of the med bay rooms while the doctors did their thing.

“Soo...back on Earth you didn’t get to answer... are you using a translator ot did learn English?”

“No I’m using a translator, but your language is easy enough that i could learn it fairly quick, given my specieses language is the hardest that we know of as of yet and English doesn’t have anything i can’t pronounce. Well as far as i know...”

“Nice, tough English is actually not my language i just learned it myself my native tongue is Hungarian... and it’s if i recall correctly the 3rd hardest language on Earth...”

“Oh... How many languages do you humans have?”

“Well I don’t know exactly but if we count the dead ones as well the number is around 200 or even more... but as i said i don’t know the exact number”

Nak’s eyes widen at my response ...

“That many ... the most we knew was 5 and the majority of species only have 1 or 2 with dialects... and what are “dead” languages?”

“The number that i just said does not count dialects because well that there are just too many of those, and dead languages are ones that are not spoken anymore because the people who spoke it either died out or were integrated with an other culture that spoke a different language.”

Nak didn’t respond he just hunched over and held his head in his upper two hands and stared at the floor still wide eyed. i looked at him concerned that i broke him but he was snapped out of his contemplation by one of the doctors who just entered the room holding something... most likely the vaccines.

Nak’s head snapped up to the doctor...

“ Ah doc is the stuff already done?”

“It is” said the doctor

Nak turned towards me...

“He’s one of the best in his field but this was rather quick.” he smiled.

“Well the strains were easier to deal with than we first thought.” With that the doctor grabbed my arm and injected the vaccine into it, i winced and rubbed the place of the injection.

“Alright now you can actually meet the crew.” Nak said.

“Wait don't you need a vaccine shot as well?”

The doctor turned to me and said

“He already got it...” He pointed up to the ceiling where a small grate was “we dispersed the vaccine throughout the ventilation  system but you needed a more diverse vaccine and in a bigger dose, hence the direct injection.”

Nak paused at the door and reached in his robe. He pulled out a small thin circular device and handed it to me.

“Almost forgot... a translation device for you, just put it on your temple it activates automatically.”

“Wait you don't have one on your head, is yours subdermal?”

“Well yes, with so many languages on Earth do you have personal translation devices as well?”

“Well no nothing like this, we have to learn the languages that we want to speak, we don’t have the technology for it just yet, but it has been theorized and we are working on it.”

We walked out of the med bay and headed back towards the hangar. When we stepped back into the vast hangar a sizable group were already waiting for us.

Nak stepped up onto a crate and started talking his voice now booming loudly so that everyone can hear him...

“Everyone please welcome Tommy a member of the first sentient species from a class 12 planet!”

First Contact part 2

“...Hello Human.”

I blinked a couple times as the words registered in my brain and as i went to open my mouth to respond nothing came out. This was of course the result of the momentary shock of hearing the English language coming out of the mouth of an alien. I closed my mouth and cleared my throat ...

“Well hello to you too, honestly I didn’t expect to hear English, but it is a welcomed turn of events. Did you learn the language or are you using a translator?”

The alien seemed pleased that i didn’t freak out and started a response to my question but was cut off mid sentence by yelling from inside the house...

“No i...” “Drágám mi volt ez a nagy zaj, és kihez beszélsz?...”(Honey what was that big noise, and who are you talking to?...

The yelling was not in English but in my native language, at first i had a bit of annoyance on my face but that turned quickly into mild amusement as I saw the alien looking rather confused. i turned around on my heals and shouted back to the voice...

“Pillanat...!!”(In a second...!!) and with that i turned back to the alien “Would you like to come in or ...”

The alien was now looking a bit worried as it answered my open ended question...

“I... well I don’t exactly fell safe on this planet ...” It looked around and looked as if it was getting more and more nervous by the minute. “and if you would agree to come on board my ship I and everyone else on board would be very excited...”

I narrowed my eyes but then gave a big smile and said...

“Well i would be honored to enter your ship, it’s not every day you get to go to space much less on an alien ship... just don’t kidnap me ok?”

The alien winched back a bit at my smiling but it seemed pleased i agreed to it’s proposal.

“Alright give a minute or two to put on some proper clothes and I’ll be right with you.” and with that i turned around to head back in.  I quickly discarded my coffee stained white t-shirt and shorts and grabbed my blue jeans, put on a pair of black socks, as well as i put on a fresh white t-shirt and on top on that i pull on my trusty woodcutter flannel, rolled up it’s sleeves and left the shirt open. With that i rushed downstairs picked up my one of my baseball caps the one i grabbed was a camo pattern one and my ol’ faithful hiking boots ... while i put them on i said...

“Hé anya elmegyek egy kicsit majd jövök...nem tom mikor szal ne aggódjatok... ok?”(Hey mom I’m going out for a bit I’ll be back...donno when so don’t worry...ok?)

Then came the response...

“Várj csak egy pillanatot fiatalember, még nem is válaszoltál a kérdéseimre és most hirtelennyében meg el akarsz menni!? Mi folyik itt?”(Wait just one second youngman, you didn’t even answer my questions from earlier and now you just want to leave all of a sudden!? Whats going on?

“Anya 30 vagyok nem egy kisgyerek, abba tudnád hagyni a “fiatalemberezést”? Amúgy is elhinnéd hogy ha azt mondanám, hogy leszállt egy UFO a kertünk mögé és egy űrlénnyel beszélgettem?(Mum I’m 30 not a small child, could you drop the “youngman” already? Anyway would you believe if i said, that a UFO has landed behind our garden and i was speaking with an alien?)

"Nem de akkor is hova mész?”(No but either way where are you going?)

“Az űrbe az űrlénnyel... legalábbis azt hiszem az űrbe... na mindegy majd jövök.”(To space with the alien... at least i think into space... anyway i’ll be back.)

With that i turned and opened the front door and walked out, as i closed the door i could hear my mom say in a dissmisive tone (Kids...). I walked to our back fence and hopped over it to finally meet the alien face to face. 

It was looking kind of surprised as jumped the fence...

“So alright I’m here sorry for making you wait, nice to meet you face to face, my name is Tommy well Thomas Fisher if we translate my name into English...What's yours?” I said as i walk up to it still looking surprised and i reached out my right hand for a handshake. The alien looked down on my hand and instead of taking my offered hand bowed it’s head before answering my question.

“My name is Nakqr’hlirgmkoz but i don’t think you can pronounce it...”

“Yeah.. is it alright if I call you Nak because you are right i cant pronounce your name, and ...” i look at my hand as i pull it back and chuckle a bit “ yeah of course, you don’t know what a handshake is...“

“Yes, Nak is fine, our names are infamous for their difficult pronunciation even among other species in the universe ... shall we?”

The alien motions inwards to the ship and we turn to walk in, and as we do ...

“Can I ask a rather personal question, you don't have to answer if you don't want of course?”

“Yes of course, ask away.”

“Are you a male or female of your species? I ask because I cant decide just by looks...”

”I’m a male, and don’t fret sometimes even we can’t tell the difference.” he said with a cheerful tone to his voice as the door to the ship closed behind us.

He sat in the pilots seat and pushed a few buttons and the engine of the shuttle (‘couse it’s just the two of us and he talked about others as well on board his ship... yeah should have realized it earlier but here we are.) churned to life and without turning his head he said...

“You should probably sit down back there it’s not going to be a smooth ride.”

I did as told and quickly sat my ass down in a seat and tried to buckle myself in tough it took a couple seconds for me to figure out how. By the time i managed to strap myself in we were already in the air and the bright blue of the sky quickly darkened before my eyes until my vision was filled with a vast blackness dotted throughout with white dots of lights.

“Woah...” i heard myself say.

Nak turned his head towards me as i was staring out one of the windows of the shuttle.

“Beautiful isn’t it?”

“Yeah... i mean I’ve seem pictures but this is just wow...”

“We will be docking with my ship in a few minutes”

First Contact

Ok what’s the time ... 16:35... hmm this is enough work for today. ... Phone check headphones check Let’s relax a bit...

A young man stands from his table in his room and heads towards the balcony of his house which overlooks the countryside. It’s the middle of summer and about 30 C in the shade. He sits in an oversized armchair on the balcony, put his headset on, looks up in the sky and hits play. As music starts playing he closes his eyes while his head is still looking up at the sky.

About an hour passes when a large shadow crosses the mans face.

A large aircraft of unknown origin passes over the young mans head it begins landing just behind the house in the field where the balcony is facing, right in front of him. He stands from his chair and walks wide eyed to the wooden railing of his balcony and leans against it...

(Ok ok this is happening a freaking spaceship is landing next to my backyard...stay calm stay calm... breath) He thinks to himself.

He manages to compose himself enough to look calm on the outside just as the landed craft opens up and a figure walks out onto the grass.

The alien is tall, slim walks on two legs, has two sets of arms and a remarkably human like face though it has no nose just two holes where the nose would be on a human, it has no hair either, its skin is dark grey with yellow streaks going down it’s face and over it’s head, it’s eyes are pure black with no seeable pupil. It wears a set of robes that cover most of its body.

The alien looks up at the man and he pulls back from the railing ever so slightly without letting go of it but leans right back against it a second later as the alien waves one of it’s upper arms and says...
