         even as kehda had been here for many months, she couldn't quite say she had been to the theater of calliope.   ironic, given her status as a dancer  –  a performer.  she just preferred to dance somewhere more crowded, where she could earn a bit of dust to get her by.

     ❝ it seems i just can't be rid of you, now can i ? ❞   there was no mistaking the voice, or the sillhouette of the person.  she can't say she is any happier with the person–  nay, nuisance– stood before her, but at this point she had accepted that anything was possible on this island.  kehda's tail flits and sways.  whether or not she should be taking him as a threat at this time, she's uncertain.  she was unfortunately stripped of nearly all of the strength she had posessed back in etheirys so she wasn't quite looking for a fight.

The Theater of Calliope. How ironic that he of all people found himself in a theater of all places. Thankfully, no performances were taking place at that moment in time, though who knew when that might change. He was the lone figure visible among the countless rows of seats facing the empty stage.

And there, he couldn't help but see the fool who'd played his part to the very end. All the way to what he believed was a satisfying conclusion. A conclusion he'd been forbidden to see with his own eyes. Maybe that was why that sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach refused to go away. A number of meetings had cast doubt as to the fate of that wretched Star. Which, in essence, had meant that everything he'd worked for was rendered pointless.

Even then, no emotion stirred within him. Nothing beyond bitter disappointment and lethargy.

❝ Is this all the tale of the damnable Fandaniel amounted to? Denied even the satisfaction that all I had worked to bring forth had come to pass. I can only imagine how pleased you are with your vaunted champion, Hydaelyn. ❞

           ❝ hm .. i can't say i have.  not often, anyway. ❞  the myriad of stalls that lined the star trail, many of them smelled delicious, but kehda wasn't  quite  as adventurous when it came to sampling foods.  ❝ i have a picky palate, unfortunately.  i'm not fond of sweets, nor bitter foods. ❞  nor was she fond of wasting dust on something she might not even enjoy.  kehda had to be smart about her spending habits for now.  that, and she definitely didn't want to be rude to the people who were selling them if she didn't actually enjoy them.  ❝  from teyvat, huh  ..  well, if you could give me a few suggestions, i'll listen.  i enjoy savory and spicy dishes  –  so long as they're not too heavily seasoned. ❞

not quite.  kehda doesn't believe in the idea that there is one specific person out there among the sea of people that she's specifically meant to be with.  of course, her views with love are a bit difficult as is, and she is quite guarded.  to her the idea of soulmates is something that hopeless romantics think and dream about and are not an actual thing.
