She pulled her face away from his chest a bit so she could speak clearer. "It's just, I've lost so many people I cared so much for already. I didn't want to lose you too..." Her face flushed pink, blushing. She rested her head against his chest once more, an expression on her face like she was in thought but also at a loss of words... as if she were trying to piece a sentence together without saying the wrong thing. She remained still, but her eyes flickered back and forth.

"Jamie..." - Shizuo softly says, hand shaking some - "I'm.. back.."

Jamie turned her head toward the voice and her eyes widened. “Shizuo… Oh thank god you’re okay. I missed you so much…” She reached up, tightly hugging him as she gently nuzzled her face against his.

"Mmm. I'm glad. Are you hurt at all?" She hadn't let go of him yet, so relieved he was back.

"I... I was so worried. I thought you-..." She stopped herself, not bearing to even finish her sentence as she held tears back, remembering painful memories of friends and loved ones she had lost before. She buried her face into his chest as she squeezed into the hug more.

"Mm. Well it must have spread only around the U.S., if no one here's heard about it or witnessed it themselves. I've dealt with it for a long while. I've grown used to having to do what I can to survive. Matty, Gil, and I are the only ones I know for sure that made it out alive. My mother too, but she was already at a military base in Germany when it happened. She tried sending out soldiers to help us, but... in short... every person we've ran into... well..." She looked down sadly, a heartbroken expression almost spreading on her face. She quickly shook it off, and looked back up at Shizuo. "Heh, I guess I am." She softly smiled.

"Hm..? Why? I'm sure as hell that you're not as bad as anything I've seen. Super-powered zombies pretty much, and psychotic people; and when I say psychotic, I really mean sick and twisted souls."

She sat down next to him and started to tend to his wounds. "Well, you see, I grew up in a military family. Even though my mother told me I could do anything I wanted when I grew up, my father said otherwise. He wanted me to be a soldier. I only wanted to build robots, so we kinda butted heads. My mother noticed this and suggested that I should take some combat training just in case anything happened that I'd need it, and so I did. I decided to take medical training as well, to be a field medic, for the same reason."

"Again with the zombies. I can't really get how that happened and how no-one here really knew 'bout it.. But I believe ya about facin' 'em.. Honestly, you're pretty brave for doing it.. " He showed a small smile for a second before letting it fade.

"I'll help ya get around Ikebukuro. Just run if I ever get angry, you're not gonna wanna be around me.." Shizuo sighed sadly before hearing what the girl said after coming back to the room.

"O-oh.. S-sure.." He blushed only softly, it was barely noticeable, as he unbuttoned his white dress shirt and took it off, setting it aside. "There, hey, how are ya so good at this again...?"

"Gangs. Hm... can't really be as bad as hordes of zombies. But they really can be just as bad. I've really forgotten what it's like being around other normal, living humans. It might take me a little while to get used to again." She sighed and walked to her room, quickly grabbing her medkit. "I'll need you to remove your shirt too, so i can clean the wound." She said as she returned.

"Alright. Come sit down then." She gently pulled him to the couch, sitting down next to him to take a look at his wound. "…What or who did this to you?"

"I'll come with you, Saffron, and gather rabbits and other things." Jamie stated, "Better not to go alone anyway."

"Then I will stay here with Will, and help with the campfire." Matty chimed.

"Well, not unless he’s been damaged somehow. But I always manage to fix it for him. He can’t feel pain anymore, so that’s a plus for him." She finished fixing Matty’s arm as she explained.

Matty softly smiled, thanking his sister.

Jamie then turned to Shizuo. “Now will you let me help you?” She chuckled.
