Note
I do not hate Soukoku, I just don't see Chuuya and Dazai in a romantic relationship. I don't think that they were lovers. I don't think that Chuuya needs Dazai to live his life and I don't think that their relationship was as deep as a vast majority of fans want it to be. I ship them platonically.
They were partners in crime. They were in a Mafia organization, not in a Highschool where they had to fight bullies. They fought against men who wanted to see them dead. Men who would have gladly kidnapped them and tortured them to get information. How else would they have survived if they didn't trust each other?
Soukoku – Double Black – was the figurehead of the Port Mafia. There was a war going on in the Underground. Mori had overtaken the Port Mafia fully aware that people would try to dethrone him and destroy the Port Mafia. Many other crime syndicates tried to destroy them and Double Black was their most powerful weapon. Chuuya and Dazai were surely send often to fight against troublemakers. There were enemies in all ends of Yokohama, maybe even from outside of their prefecture! This does not mean that they were in love. They trusted each other with their life, because they had no other choice. This mutual understanding and hidden love that so many people desperately want to see did not exist. Not to that extent.
Sadly many fans don't know enough about crime syndicates such as Yakuza, Triads, Mafia and what they do for a living. How do you think do they earn money? Surely not through honest work. People who are in those syndicates have a darkness in their heart that led them to this path. They were outsiders in the society. In Bungou Stray Dogs we have the fictional Great War that led to a vast increase of orphans. There were so many homeless people who didn't have any other choice but to join these syndicates. For them every day is fighting for their life. Dazai too was obviously treated like a parasite in society and questions whether he is human, questioning his own mind and thoughts. His eyes are dead. He has seen unspeakable things. Things that children shouldn't see. Those things formed the twisted Dazai we know.
Chuuya has lived in Suribachi – the slums of Yokohama – a town that is even closed from the main city. You can't just go in and out. People who live in slums – who are raised in slums – have a far more different world view than people like us. We happily share our memes over Internet and complain about trivial stuff, we have the time and carelessness to argue over anime and fictional ships – while people in slums all too often fight over garbage because there might be something edible.
Of course Chuuya is strong! How else would he have survived?
Chuuya was the leader of a gang, he is/was the main fighter of Soukoku and yet people describe him as cute and depended of Dazai. He already beat up people before he met Dazai. He was a leader and his aggressive demeanour became so bad that even Mori couldn't ignore him anymore. He was so wild that a crime syndicate such as the Port Mafia couldn't ignore him. Let that sink in. He was badass before meeting Dazai and he obviously doesn't have a problem beating other people up. He even hits Dazai simply because he likes it. He has a temper problem, just like the real Nakahara Chuuya who would often get into bar fights and get mad about stupid stuff, especially when he was drunk.
So many fanfictions make him look like a whiny schoolgirl that never wanted to join the Mafia. People seem to think that Chuuya could never hurt anyone! Because he is a sweetheart and so kind at heart – something that never was shown in BSD, not even between the lines. Chuuya joined the Port Mafia out of his own free will. He knew what the future was going to hold for him and yet people make it look like as if he was forced. Even worse: some people seem to think that Chuuya joined the Port Mafia because he loved Dazai. Chuuya enjoyed working for the Port Mafia. He became an Executive and has never even hinted that he wanted to leave. He feels at ease at the Port Mafia, he considers this way of life his choice.
Every conversation between Chuuya and Dazai – people see romantic interaction. And if you don't agree with their view, you're automatically a hater. (Honestly, I love writing platonic Chuuya/Dazai because they are interesting, but you can write about them without seeing sparkling little hearts everywhere.)
I don't think that Soukoku is a bad ship, it's a poorly presented/written ship.
It's this kind of presentation of the majority of fans that has ruined this ship for many other fans. It's not like a “sudden” cult against it, it's the mass of fanworks in this fandom of this ship with this out of character-portrayal that make people more and more furious. They disrespect the characters, write them poorly and fight against other fans who don't agree with their ship.
And it gets worse.
Looking for fanfiction? Something about Dazai? Since he is a interesting character that keeps many secrets to himself and where you can interpret a lot? Let's take a look at Archive of Our Own. Oh. Mostly Dazai/Chuuya. No problem! Let's filter the results and make Chuuya as a character disappear, but... once again. Still mostly Dazai/Chuuya. No panic. We simply filter this ship out and holy moly, there are still so many stories for this ship? Although I have filtered it multiple times? How is this possible?
People happily abusing the tag system~ don't we all love it? There are way too many people who either don't use tags, refuse to write a summary of their story or are too lazy to add characters. It's this behaviour that makes people angry with other shippers and the ship itself. Play fair. Don't abuse the tags and be honest with your works. Don't add other ships like “Kunikida/Dazai” if you already know that your story is not about them! It's just unfair and distorts the results.
A fan who always encounters a ship that he already filtered out multiple times, will get annoyed over time.
“Everyone used to be so on board with shipping Soukoku, but ever since you guys joined this fandom it's gone awry.“
It's not true that everyone was on board with this ship. People who didn't care simply didn't look up any fanworks and didn't say anything. Ship and let ship. Personally, I never was into Soukoku, so whenever it appeared on my dashboard or was recommended to me, I ignored it and moved on. It's not my ship, so I'm not going to waste my time getting into it. I have other things in life to do. I follow and support the writers and artists that make the content I want to see. That's what fans should do. Supporting each other.
HOWEVER.
More and more Soukoku fans are cocky and comment on other works just to mention that they hope for Soukoku although Chuuya isn't even mentioned as a character. Although the story clearly isn't about their ship. Yet they leave comments like that, trying to subtly change the opinion of the writer just to get their ship. I don't know when it happened or why, but there are many fans who seem to think that Soukoku actually happened and that their ship is the default ship for everyone. (Spoiler: it’s not!)
That one thing that made me write this, is the fact that Soukoku shippers even dare to comment on Japanese artworks and insult foreign artists for not drawing Soukoku! This is the worst! It's despicable and makes my gut twist. Several of my Japanese favorite artists received very inappropriate comments from Soukoku shippers.
If you dislike Mori/Dazai – okay! That's fine. But going out of your way, stalking Japanese artists who sell their doujinshi and live from their art just to insult them because they draw the “wrong” ship, even threatening them to hurt them just because you can't deal with people not sharing your interests? Even telling them that you have to wash your eyes with bleach because you saw their art? That's going too far. Stop ship shaming others.
You show disrespect not only towards a ship, but against an entire culture. You don't know how fandoms in Japan work and yet you have the audacity to mend in and even dare to demand from people overseas to change their artworks because you don't like it? Because you view it as problematic? This bad behaviour came mostly from American (!) Soukoku fans. If you don't want to learn Japanese in order to connect with fans in Japan, do not comment their artworks at all. There are quite a few cultural differences and there is a comment etiquette you are not aware of. There are Do's and Don'ts when it comes to Japanese fandom societies and if you're too lazy to learn about it, stay away.
It's not a sudden cult, Anon. It's this behaviour that make even silent shippers stand up and become angry at you. You even go so far to compare fans who are not into your ship with the Kukuxklan. Do you even have the slightest idea what those people were? What they did? You even say that people who are not into SKK are worse?
I'd like to tell you to go out in the world and see where actual problems are. See how many people are starving. How people all over the world are being abused, sold and forced to work. See how people in slums live. How people living in/near disaster areas fight every day. You have too much time. Expand your horizon, Anon, before you complain about people not sharing your ship interests. You clearly need a break from Internet.
Do you and Mike plan this shit together? Everyone used to be so on board with shipping Soukoku, but ever since you guys joined this fandom it's gone awry. Of course we are still the vast, vast majority but why do you guys do this? Why do you try to drive us Soukoku shippers mad with your words of hate towards our ship? Is there an anti-Soukoku cult I am unaware of led by you two? Like the KKK, but worse?
im fucking laughing my ass off right now are you legit trying to compare us not liking a ship to the kkk holy fuck you’re a piece of shit lmao
secondly, i don’t really know mike all that well
thirdly “since you guys joined this fandom” WHEN DO YOU THINK I JOINED THIS FANDOM LMAO CAUSE GUARANTEED IT WAS BEFORE YOU DID
y’all is this fucking real life someone literally sat down and typed this out im wheezing

The Wishshipping Wristbands
I’ve made multiple posts before about the matching wristbands that Yuugi and Jounouchi wear, both in the manga itself and in individual illustrations that Takahashi has drawn (for instance, he drew a shot of Jounouchi that was inserted into Volume 8 (Volume 1 of VIZ’s Duelist numbering) wherein Jounouchi is wearing both of them:
And it looks as though Jounouchi is wearing one of them in a sketch contained in Duel Art as well.
But one thing that didn’t occur to me is the fact that it might not be a case of Jounouchi wearing the wristband during the Black Crown arc and also late in Battle City, but that he might have been wearing the wristband the entire time, only we couldn’t see it because he had his school uniform jacket on over it. With that in mind I decided to do some investigation, and I believe we can reasonably deduce that he was indeed wearing the wristband (at least one, possibly two, the same as Yuugi, but we’ll get to that in a minute) for the duration of Battle City (and possibly beyond, but again, more on that in a minute). That led me to wonder when, exactly, these pair look wristband shenanigans started happening, so I did some investigation. Keep in mind that I will be using the Japanese numbering system for the Volumes/Chapters from here on out, so if things seem a bit off/confusing and you’re only familiar with how VIZ hecked things up, that’s why.
Jounouchi wears jackets for the majority of the series. Whether it’s his school uniform or just a jacket he decided to toss on himself (e.g. the green one he wears in Duelist Kingdom), he’s often jacketed. With a jacket it’s hard to see if he’s wearing a wristband or not, so I had to pick out chapters where he wasn’t wearing a jacket to get a good look at his wrist.
The first one I decided to look at was his last non-jacketed appearance in the school arc, Vol. 6., Ch. 46:
Jounouchi, as we can plainly see, is not wearing the wristbands here. However—
Neither is Yuugi. We can deduce from this that, as of volume six, neither of them had purchased or decided to wear the wristbands they later sport together. All right.
We don’t see Jounouchi without his jacket again for the duration of the school arc (because he always has his uniform jacket on), and immediately following the school arc we have Duelist Kingdom, wherein he wears his green jacket all the time. The only time in Duelist Kingdom that we see him without a jacket on, as I recall, is when Bandit Keith wakes him up in the middle of the night and steals his entry card. In Vol. 13, Ch. 113 we have:
No wristbands on either wrist. But at the same time, in Vol. 13, Ch. 114 we have:
Yuugi’s not wearing them either. (And trust me, Atem is wearing that jacket as a cape for the duration of his duel with Mai; those wristbands are nowhere in sight.) As of Duelist Kingdom, it seems that neither of them had actually purchased or decided to wear the wristbands, despite Takahashi drawing that illustration of Jounouchi above to include in volume eight (which does show, if nothing else, that he was already thinking about the matching wristbands even if he hadn’t used them yet).
The first in-story appearance of the wristbands—of either of the wristbands, for either of them—comes in Vol. 16, Ch. 136 when Jounouchi shows up to the Black Crown wearing one:
(I included Yuugi being super excited to see him because that is hella freaking cute. ♥)

“I never liked myself at all until … until I met you, Yuugi!” (insp)
This is a remake of the first Wishshipping edit I made, back when I didn’t know what I was doing. Honestly, I still don’t know what I’m doing, but I like to think I’m a bit better now … at least better enough to try and do something clever with color editing. Hopefully the point I was trying to make comes across well enough.
As always, this is a romantic/Wishshipping edit, please do not tag as “brotp” or the equivalent, thank you.

Here’s how Duel Lunks handles the almost-end of the Yugi-Joey duel, with Joey saving Yugi and them making it out okay relegated to story event 9. Thanks to @scrawlers I learned Yugi says that he loves Jonouchi here, which was changed in the Viz translation of the manga.

I know Yugi can get jealous as proof in Death-T with the baby, but you think Jounouchi can be the jealous type, too? Or is he too mellow for that?
Jounouchi is not a jealous person at all, but I feel the need to clarify things a little bit on Yuugi’s behalf as well.
The thing about jealousy is that jealousy comes from places of insecurity and possessiveness. While they’re often used as synonyms because of how closely related the two are, it should be noted that jealousy is not the same thing as envy. To be envious is to desire something someone else has that is in no way yours. To be jealous is to be afraid of losing something you perceive as yours somehow.
When it comes to relationships, the reason why people feel jealous is because they feel that they’re going to lose someone that they feel should be with them in some capacity. (Note: This doesn’t always have to be romantic.) If someone is jealous over someone they’re in a relationship with (e.g. they feel jealous when their significant other talks or spends time with someone else), it’s because they’re insecure about the state of their relationship, and they feel some degree of possessiveness over their S.O. If they’re jealous over someone they like but are not involved with, then they’re absolutely insecure over where they stand with that person, and it’s less possessiveness and more … mmh, not quite entitlement, but they feel that someone else is ruining their chances with this person, and that makes them feel upset. (But it’s more the insecurity in this case.)
So when we look at Yuugi, whenever Yuugi shows jealousy over Anzu in canon (and he does this multiple times in the manga), it’s because they’re not together and he’s insecure over where he stands with her. This is insecurity that he actually admits to and comes to terms with during Duelist Kingdom. Though Anzu tries to reassure him that she likes both him and Atem (because she sees them as two sides of the same person), Yuugi knows that, romantically speaking, that’s not really the case (particularly since he knows that he and Atem are not the same person, even if Anzu doesn’t yet). Yuugi coming to terms with this after Duelist Kingdom is why we don’t see jealousy from him toward her after that point. He sends her on a date with Atem, both to help Atem out, and because that’s showing us as readers that he’s come to accept the fact that Anzu has romantic feelings for Atem, and not him, and that’s okay. He doesn’t feel that insecurity, or entitlement anymore, and as a result we don’t see any more jealous reactions from him like we do earlier on in the manga, when he’s super insecure about where he stands, and does feel some degree of entitlement (at least where the randos who hit on her, such as the fake psychic from chapter four are concerned).
With all of that said, yes, Yuugi would feel jealousy over Jounouchi, after he’s realized his feelings, but before they’re together. I have one specific instance of this in mind that I might write out someday, but today is not that day. Point is, however, that once they’re together, Yuugi wouldn’t feel jealousy like that anymore, because he’d no longer have insecurities about where he stands. Yuugi is not a possessive person by nature; it’s not going to bother him if Yuugi goes out with other friends (even non-mutual friends), or if someone else shows interest in Jounouchi, because he knows where he stands with Jounouchi, what their relationship is, and he knows that Jounouchi would never cheat on him. So once they’re actually together, Yuugi won’t get jealous anymore, because he’s no longer insecure and he’s not possessive.
Likewise, to finally answer your question, no, Jounouchi is not a jealous person at all. To begin with, he’s not the least bit possessive; possessive behavior actually bothers him immensely (this is one of his main problems with Hirutani; Hirutani is supremely possessive over him), and in that sense he’d never be possessive over someone else, just as he won’t tolerate possessiveness over himself. Jounouchi values freedom, both for himself and whoever he’s interested in. If Yuugi wants to go hang out with some people without Jounouchi, that’s fine by Jounouchi. He’s not going to be bothered by it in the slightest.
Along those same lines, while Jounouchi does have low self-esteem and insecurities, those insecurities don’t manifest in a way that would cause jealousy. To begin with, Jounouchi trusts Yuugi, and he knows that Yuugi would never cheat on him. The idea of Yuugi cheating on him would never even cross his mind. Secondly, if Yuugi was going to break up with him, in Jounouchi’s mind it would be because Yuugi just didn’t want to be with him anymore, which has nothing to do with anyone else. Jounouchi wouldn’t feel insecure or jealous seeing Yuugi chatting or hanging out with someone else, because he knows Yuugi would never cheat, and also figures that while Yuugi might fall out of love with him at some point, that wouldn’t be because he liked someone else more.
(And as for before they’re together, well, Jounouchi doesn’t realize his own feelings until Yuugi confesses, so. That’s a moot point.)
TL;DR: No, Jounouchi is not the jealous type at all, because he’s not possessive and he’s secure in his relationship with Yuugi. Likewise, Yuugi is only jealous before they’re together; once they are, he no longer has reason to be.

Found an archived interview with a Viz editor who edited the Yu-Gi-Oh manga!
https://web.archive.org/web/20151208065514/https://pulllist.comixology.com/articles/63/To-All-the-Manga-Ive-Edited-Before
What stuck out was this part:
“As far as fandom, the core audience of Yu-Gi-Oh! was 8-year-old boys (and a few incredible fangirls). For most hardcore, Japanese-speaking fans, the kind who run scanlation sites and post on messageboards, it was way too mainstream. In other words, I had a surprising amount of leeway with the translation of Yu-Gi-Oh!. I like to think I didn’t abuse this privilege. Was it so wrong to change Kaiba’s vengeful-rival line “This cross I’ve carried for so long…!” to “This cross I’ve carried for so long… the cross of collectible-card gaming defeat!” Or to throw in the slightest, most unobtrusive reference to a 1982 TV movie starring Tom Hanks in the Monster World RPG story arc? All right, so I’m a bad editor. But at least I made sure Yugi’s tearful “Jonouchi… suki da yo” in the Battle City story arc was translated as “Jonouchi… I love you…”. (Sniff.. excuse me, I think I got something in my eye…) Hey, it’s no coincidence that the best online resource for Yu-Gi-Oh episode summaries once hosted Yugi/Jonouchi slash fanfiction.“

My two cents about Jump Force

I have been part of this fandom for 16 years now and Yuugi Mutou has always been one of my favorite characters of this manga and the anime. Always. There wasn't a single time where I thought that he was boring, weak or uninteresting. I remember vividly how a German fan made fun of me when I told her that Yuugi was a cool character with amazing development. She said that Yuugi was so unimportant for the plot and that the anime would be so much better without him, because he was a weakling who never did anything.
Partly, I do understand her point. Once a duel is about to start it's Atem who simply takes over and snaps Yuugi's chances away to prove himself and show that he is more than just decoration. But on the on the other hand I absolutely believe that the ignorance of the manga – where Yuugi actually has his moments where he shows his strengths – is a problem. YGO is only about the franchise. About the cards. Who cares about the characters? People only see the Yuugi who hides behind Atem. Little, cute Yuugi with the big round eyes who can't do shit without his better half.
The man on this screenshot is obviously not Yuugi Mutou.
I always believed that only Western fans wouldn't be able to tell Atem and Yuugi apart – mostly due to the wrong translations they got – but now Shonen Jump, too, shows that nobody cares for the actual Yuugi and that they make no differences between these characters anymore. Of course. Simply shit on the manga. Shit on the meaning of YGO! and make money out of it. Milk YGO until there is nothing left. Shit on the main protagonist and act like he never existed. There is this one particular scene in the manga which makes s obvious that they are not the same person.
Yuugi Mutou and Atem are separate persons. It's sad that those people who actually care for Yuugi – the smaller Yuugi who used to be the protagonist until it was decided that the Other Yuugi was more interesting – will never get their merchandise and see their favorite character on screen.
Every time I look up for merchandise for the little Yuugi I always get tons of stuff for Atem labeled as “Yugi Muto” and it makes me sick. I just can't stand how Atem is the official face of YuGiOh! and no one seems to care for the actual main character who had the biggest growth in personality and development in the whole series. Yuugi is so underrated that most people don't even know that Yuugi and Atem are actually two separate persons.I wouldn’t mind it so much if they would finally stop mixing them up. Just call him Atem or the Other Yuugi, but stop putting these characters together!
Honestly, I'm sick of seeing the tags for “Yuugi Mutou”, “Yugi Mutou” or “Yugi Muto” – I stay with the original Japanese writing – spammed with pictures for Atem or the Other Yuugi. I don't effing care for the Other Yuugi. Just give me finally my Yuugi merchandise. Just make it happen already!
DSOD was the perfect opportunity to show how strong and independent Yuugi has become without Atem, instead we get to see – once again – Atem save the world and take over once the battle becomes fierce. Yuugi is capable of much more than people would think and he deserves better. He deserves to be in the spotlight. He deserves to get his own starter deck, his own main monster (not just a copy of Atem’s Magicians), his own strategies and his own life where people stop down talking him and say shit like Yuugi could never be as cool or strong as Atem. I'm sick of Atem fans who can't accept Yuugi as Kaiba's new rival. Stop making Yuugi a loser. Yuugi and Atem are both skilled and it was Yuugi who defeated the Sangenshin. Atem accepted Yuugi as his equal – so why can't the fandom, too? Why are so many people obsessed with the idea that Yuugi is not worthy being Kaiba’s rival?
I don't know much about Jump Force per se, but I honestly don't even want to throw my money away for it. It's just not fair how Yuugi is treated like Atem's shadow. It makes me sick how Shonen Jump ignores the existence of the small Yuugi and simply mixes these characters up and give them the same name. For me, there is only one Yuugi Mutou.
(In all honesty, I don’t know much about the game yet. It’s not out for sale yet, but I really dislike how Yuugi Mutou in general is treated like a thirdclass protagonist and the new trailer really took the biscuit!)

Wishshipping
Alright, I can’t help but ship this.
This is gonna be a long post about the shipping between Yugi Muto and Jounouchi Katsuya from Yu-Gi-Oh. Im mainly going to bring up points from the original manga, and my personal feelings and opinions.
Surprisingly, this ship is not very popular within the Yugioh fandom despite all the moments between the two characters. I imagine that’s because of the other two main ships of Puzzleshipping (Yugi x Yami/Atem) and Puppyshipping (Seto x Jounouchi.) These are the two pairings you’d likely seen most of in the fandom, and I do like them and see why they are so popular. They involve two of the most popular characters and have some good moments with the people they’re paired with. However, despite enjoying them, while I was reading the manga I just couldn’t help but notice the close relationship between Yugi and Jounouchi.
As most people know, Jounouchi had started off in the manga as Yugis bully, constantly teasing him with Honda and telling Yugi that he need to be more like a “man.” It is explained in the anime and manga later that he did this because he use to get irritated watching Yugi and his kind nature.

The first image is Jounouchi before him and Yugi become friends, while the second one is after. They both have a point however that I would like to address, and that is Jounouchi showing he has a hard time connecting to his more innocent side. He covers up any sort of gentleness he has behind a rugged manly exterior. This could be due to his past of being in gangs and living with his abusive father.
The only person he shows his soft side two is Yugi, and this happens after Yugi defends him and Honda from Ushio when they get beaten up.

Just gotta say Yugi has a heart of pure gold (this boy needs more love.) But as you can see, Jounouchi is genuinely shocked that Yugi would defend him after the harsh way, he and Honda treated him. This leads to him going back and getting the puzzle piece he had thrown out the window for Yugi. In the manga, the scene is not shown, but it does show that Jounouchi shows up at Yugis house and gives the piece to Sugoroku, telling him not to tell Yugi that it was him that got back the piece of the puzzle. He also warns him about what Ushio had done, and what he wants.
The next day at school (after Atem had mind fuked Ushio with a penalty game.) Yugi finds Jounouchi waiting for him in the hallway. This is when Jounouchi first shows his softer side to Yugi.

He of course gets embarrassed and runs off after saying this but from this point forward, he and Yugi are now considered best friends, and whenever Yugi gets in trouble Jounouchi is quick to defend him.
Jounouchis protection over Yugi is show multiple times, too many to give all examples of here. But these are a few highlights I have saved.

He goes as far as to threaten someone with death over Yugi. But, Yugi also has his moments where he protects Jounouchi (although he usually gets taken over by Atem when he does) and this makes Jounouchi very grateful to Yugi.

I do truly love their friendship with one another, their names being put together “Yu-Jou” literally means “friendship” in Japanese. However my favorite two moments of them is later in the manga. The first being when Yugis puzzle is smashed and he need to put it back together while the building is burning around him.

(sorry it’s not in order, my computer was having a hard time moving the images for whatever reason.) While Yugi is in the building you can see Jounouchi waiting outside, debating on how he’d get Yugi out. Even saying that he’d leave the puzzle behind if he had too. Risking his life to save him.
Of course, as you may imagine, the final part to this post is about the life or death situation they are put in against each other by Malik. (Basically Jounouchi gets possed and tries to kill Yugi with a card game) For most of the duel, its between Jounouchi and Atem, however Atem is unsuccessful in snapping him out of Maliks control. So, he very reluctantly lets Yugi take over. Yugi tries to appeal with old memories which works to an extent. He even gives the Millennium Puzzle to him which leads to Malik trying to get Jounouchi to throw it into the sea. However, Jounouchi is begins to fight back more, knowing how much the puzzle means to Yugi, and by the end when the timer runs out he gets his mind back, and this happens.

After saying this, they both get pulled into the water. Jounouchi manages to save Yugi by getting the key to his cuff. Sacrificing himself to save Yugi. He does live of course when his key gets dropped in by Kaiba.
Now I should end this post before it gets even longer. I just wanted to post the moments that made me really like this ship. Of course their actual relationship is platonic, and Yugi saying he loves Jounouchi is meant to be taken in the love between two friends. If this was to be something canon however, I would think it would be Jounouchi who’d secretly harbor feelings for Yugi. This is because of the protectiveness he has over him and his moments of telling Yugi he’d never give up on him, and that he shows his more innocent side to him.
Thanks for reading my long post, never thought I’d actually make it but I did.
