Literally moments after Cinder had been resuscitated--as in, brought back to life--Cress was drooling over Thorne taking his shirt off. Cress. Cinder was dead two seconds ago. Girl. This is not the time to be admiring Thorne's abs.

Whenever I read height posts about Cress I am instantly humbled when I remember we are in fact the same size and I have no business making fun of her

So I obviously was already aware that Cinder has a New Beijing accent, but it never occurred to me how weird that might seem to the citizens of Luna.

Like imagine the supreme leader of your country having an accent from *literally* another planet.

It’s super cool, but at the same time that must feel a little strange.

And it’s different from when Kai was *fake* King Consort for a few hours, because he was 💍marrying in💍.

But Cinder was literally BORN on Luna and spoke with a Lunar accent until she was two and then set on fire.

Also, side note: Since Cinder was believed to be from Europe before the whole long-lost-princess reveal, does she have a fully New Beijing accent? Obviously she didn’t actually live in Europe, but did no one ever question her lack of a European accent? And did she come out of suspension initially sounding Lunar?

not that i expect Time Magazine to still be kicking 400 years later, but i’m dying to read the inevitable blurb cinder (and kai) (and probably thorne, but his ego is inflated enough as is) would have written about her for the “100 Most Influential People in the World” list. i’m not sure who they would tap to write it (it’s always a previous honoree) or what it would say but that’s the piece of fictional Cinder press I’d personally be most curious about, inspired by your latest anon.

If Thorne is going to be on the list, then I could see him being the one to write Cinder's blurb as often friends or colleagues write it. Besides, if Kai wrote about her it would probably be a straight up love letter. Whoever writes about Kai would probably write about his selflessness in marrying Levana to save his people. For Thorne it would be about rehabilitation and the transition from criminal to hero. Here's a mockup of what Thorne might write about Cinder:

after being stranded in the desert, Thorne DEFINITELY would have had a very clear tan line/pale strip across his eyes from the blindfold they tied on his face when he was blinded.  And it probably would have taken a while to get rid of.

So for a good chunk of the plot of Winter he would have been walking around looking like he’s wearing a white Swiper-from-Dora type mask.

I like how Cresswell’s first three kisses were at Cinder and Kai’s palaces. Like those two really just like making out in their besties homes for some reason.

Okay so we know that in-universe there are fan pages for at least Kai and Thorne during the revolution. And surely after the revolution there are fan pages for the whole crew (I mean there’s a whole line of escort-droids modeled after them so why not). So what is one thing the Rampion fan base likes to do?? Well I imagine they make ample memes of their beloved revolutionaries

For example:

Take this scene from Wires and Nerve. We know this was broadcasted because Cress admits to watching Thorne’s speech. So I imagine that fans go crazy screenshotting pictures of Thorne flying through the air and making crazy captions.

Or take Kai and Levana’s wedding. I just KNOW there a so many memes of Kai stabbing her with the scissors!!

i know a lot of people can’t read cinder’s adventure yet but all you need to know is that there was 100% a gas leak in the new beijing palace and cinder is just tripping balls the entire time

one of my favorite parts of the lunar chronicles has always been how batshit insane it is. just the the genuine unhingery. the main character kidnaps her love interest from his wedding. said love interest stabs his arranged bride (a murderous dictator) with scissors at the altar. cress and thorne stay at an inn in the middle of the desert, and while he’s fucking around gambling she gets kidnapped into an underground medical experimentation human trafficking ring and bought by her long lost father. there’s evil moon people. scarlet and wolf get it on in a boxcar after like two days of knowing each other. 4/9 of the main cast aren’t human. cinder crashes kai’s wedding (again), murders twenty people, and jumps off a ten story balcony into a lake. kai keeps cinder’s metal foot so he can stare at it and long after her while she’s a wanted fugitive. cress fangirls over and stalks her outlaw crush on the internet for years and then bags him when they meet. not one of them is over twenty or mentally sound btw. no other YA series is doing it like that. applause

I just realized… in The Lunar Chronicles, Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress have all shot their love interest at least once. Like, Cinder shot Kai with a tranq dart when she kidnapped him, Scarlet shot Wolf in the arm to stop him from killing Ran (the first time), and Cress shot off two of Thorne’s fingers to save Cinder. And yet they’re all so cute together 😅
