Played the Silence the Pedant tech demo.
I think my favorite part was when I called Flora when she’s back inside and they’re trying to explain the item system to me. It would have been pretty easy for Ritona to be like “Hey dipshit let’s not do that.” but she played along and it was lol.
Muni’s thorough.

Re-reading fault milestone 1 / milestone 2a is actually kind of jarring because of the whole pacing and feel thing.
Like, milestone 1 is pretty slow going, very comfortable, right where I like it, and it’s like that all the way through, with a few quick quirks here and there, up until the parts where it completely explains everything and things slow to almost a complete halt and shit happens and day 3 becomes a colossal, fuck-long time. Which isn’t a really huge deal, and we spend a good chunk of day 4 resolving everything. Then milestone 2a is a nightmare about time because it’s a week and it’s a lot quicker than the first.
For comparison’s sake, we’re talking about spending 8~ reading through events and 5~ on a week, which we only see about 3 and a half days of, and the plot (surrounding Sol and his sister) really only moves forward and ends in 2 of them?
Bein’ real milestone 2b is probably going to be THE WORST about timing and pacing if Ritona’s whole “IT’S BEEN OVER TWO WEEKS!!!!” deal is legit.
The pacing issue affects tone a lot too. Like, milestone 1 has a lot more urgency going on since not leaving within a certain span of time means being trapped forever on a continent that’s very alien to the life you knew. milestone 2 on the other hand is like, “Yeah, our bodyguard is missing, there’s three days gone, now we have to wait another three days so that some asshole doctor can fix her up so that she’s not fainting while in the middle of doing her job.” And it’s just kind of a huge waiting game on that end that it feels weird that Munisix didn’t throw another day in and explore some other things. milestone 2a actually feels kind of half-baked in comparison to milestone 1 because milestone 2a tackles a somewhat bigger issue with more complexities going into it than milestone 1
Actually that’s bullshit the real problem is that the problems in milestone 2a don’t seem as much synergy as the the problems in milestone 1. There’s also this weird thing going on where milestone 1 and milestone 2a seem to just resolve their problems rather quickly and in a simple manner that while it works in milestone 1 it doesn’t so much in milestone 2a, which makes me wonder if we’re going to be seeing that stupid Pharma guild in future milestones.
I’ll come back to sum up my thoughts more cohesively once I get everything read out.
