Nasi Goreng Padang adalah hidangan khas dari Sumatra Barat, Indonesia. Berikut adalah resep Nasi Goreng Padang versi sederhana yang bisa Anda coba di rumah.
Ingredients:
Cooked white rice (preferably cold, leftover rice)
Chicken, shrimp, or tofu (diced or sliced)
Garlic (minced)
Onion (chopped)
Red bell pepper (diced)
Carrots (diced)
Green peas
Eggs (lightly beaten)
Soy sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
Cooking oil
Optional Garnishes:
Green onions (chopped)
Sliced cucumber
Fried shallots
Lime wedges
Instructions:
Prepare the Ingredients:
Heat some oil in a large frying pan or wok over medium-high heat.
Add minced garlic and chopped onions. Sauté until fragrant and onions become translucent.
Add diced chicken, shrimp, or tofu, and cook until they are cooked through.
Push the protein to the side of the pan, add a little more oil if needed, and pour in the beaten eggs. Scramble them until they are partially set.
Add Vegetables:
Stir in diced carrots, diced red bell pepper, and green peas. Cook for a few minutes until the vegetables start to soften.
Add Rice:
Add the cold, cooked rice to the pan. Break up any clumps and stir-fry to combine it with the other ingredients.
Seasoning:
Drizzle soy sauce over the rice and continue to stir-fry, ensuring the soy sauce is evenly distributed.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the soy sauce and seasoning to your preference.
Finish and Serve:
Stir in any optional garnishes like chopped green onions.
Continue to stir-fry until everything is well mixed, and the rice is heated through.
Remove from heat and serve hot.
Garnish with cucumber slices, fried shallots, and lime wedges if desired.
