"Ah, it's not that much! I'm actually going to Japan during break, so propably I'll visit Disneyland." She smiles brightly at the friendly gesture of the other, slightly bowing her head out of habit to then snicker behind her fist rather sheepishly. "I know, any store where there are kids is scary actually. I've been to Disneyland in Orlando and Tokyo and both are scary." Emma mimics the woman's action, shuddering ever so slightly with a small shrug of her shoulders and smiles once again. "I must say that kids here and in Japan are so much more polite than in America."
"Ah? Really! You’re so awesome!" She grins, patting the other on the back. "But, no really you are awesome. I’ve been looking for them. Some of the disney stores, it scares me." She trails off, shudders at the thought of the children and parents running all over the place. "Mainly the parents because they can get crazy because they get annoyed by the kids screaming and running around. Or both." She shrugs her shoulders.

Driving through Gangnam at such hour was insane. Emma wouldn't have taken that road even if she was payed, if the circumstances were different. But actually, such effort was worth in that moment, it was for a really good reason and she couldn't deny she was quite excited. During break, earlier that morning she had heard a few of her classmates talking about BESTie's fansign which was taking place near the university campus and instead of picking up books from the library for the next class, she ran (well, not exactly ran, since it wasn't allowed in the corridors) toward the teachers' lounge to see if she could find one of her teachers. And so she did, and after a good acting, a few eye-smiles here and there, she got the afternoon free. At first, she felt pretty bad about asking such thing, mostly because it wasn't the first time, but she kept reminding herself that it was for a good cause.
Emma checked the address one last time before parking her car on a side of the road where it was allowed. She then got out of it with no more than her phone and the keys, of course, both things safe in her pocket and started walking toward the building. Everyone could see the good amount of people standing outside and waiting for the time to go inside, even from a block away. When she got close to the crowd, she saw them holding CDs, photos, shirts and some of them even lightsticks. It was awkwarrd, she should have brought at least one of the CDs she has bought.  It was different in America though, she was never able to be so close to one of her favorite bands like Kpop fans were able to see their idols. Not even concerts were like Kpop groups', it was something nice.
When all the fans started going inside, she rushed in the middle of the plethora of weeping girls and guys to be able to get a good spot. And after a few minutes, she saw the four girls standing on stage well dressed, hair perfectly done and flawless make up. They made their introductions and after that the line that formed, without Emma even noticing, started to move. Her long brown locks were hiding part of her face and although she felt annoyed by it, she didn't try to tuck it behind her ears or tie it up into a ponytail, it was helpful, she didn't want to be seen yet. She looked over some of the girls standing in front of her and saw how her friend was smiling brightly at each and every one of the fans, which made Emma want to push everyone away and being her the one to hug Haeryung.
But the queue moved quite quickly, more than expected and she was a person away from her best friend. Although she hated being sensitive or weak, her eyes started to tear up. It has been months since she last saw that young, bubbly girl and she couln't deny how much she missed her. Emma quietly approached the table where her friend was sitting and gently pushed her hair behind her shoulders with a light snort escaping from her lips after being asked for her name. She then turned her head to look directly at the younger girl and flashed a smirk. "Hello, my name is Emma and I must say I'm your biggest fan."
✿; BESTie's fansign ; envgma.
BESTie’s schedule marked today as the day in which a fan sign would take place. Ryeong was already used to this. Not so much, but she had a general idea of how things happened and had to go when they had to attend to a fan sign. Waking up early, doing her usual chores, which included from cleaning her room, to getting ready. Today, it wasn’t that different from other days. She did everything her manager told her to, and prepared for the event that was going to be pretty soon.
Haeryeong was now sitting in front of the mirror, getting her hair done just when two hours were left for the fansign. It was an slow process to have such “natural” hair, but she had gotten already used to it. Those hours passed, and she was completely ready. With her make up done, her hair done, and a bright smile that could show the emotion that she was feeling because she’d see BESTie’s fans again.
The group slowly stepped out of the backstage rooms and walked towards the place they would sit on, right after greeting and receiving lots of excited sounds from their fans. Haeryeong did as usual. With a bright smile, she waved both of her hands and posed in a funny way for the fans who were taking pictures of her.
Her group then took a seat so the fan sign could proceed. She waved at fans, high fived them and thanked each one of them for the compliments, gifts and for coming to see them. It all passed normally, until she thought she had seen a known face that she hadn’t seen at all. 'Emma?' She thought as a frown took over her features just for a few seconds. As soon as she was done with the fan before that figure, she held up her hands, as if she were hoping for a high five.
"Hi! Thank you for coming. What’s your name~?" She asked with her bright smile, wondering if it was really her friend, or not.

I hate that feeling when you’re not necessarily sad, but you just feel really empty and every little thing gets to you and everyone that talks to you makes you angry and you want to punch everyone in the face

► Causality. — Emma & Sulli.
+ [ ssultaku ]
Their friendship started in the weirdest way possible, at least for normal people. Emma would sit on the same street from 5pm until about 9pm, right where nobody would see her. Why? Well, she was told that the female she’s been trying to catch for about a month lived there. It was a lot of money only to follow her and see how the female’s schedule were, so she had to be patient, it was worth it. As normal, her eyes were looking over at every person who walked past the place where she was hiding, hoping that she could 'casually' bump into the stranger. Honestly, looking for someone in Seoul was hard, finding someone by chance didn’t happen every day, at least not for Emma and although she was exhausted, she couldn’t let slip the fact that the tall woman walked right in front of her eyes in that moment.
Quickly, Emma stood up and reached her hands to pat the dust off of her pants –yes, she was sitting on the ground, to look as natural as possible— she then started to follow the other, who’s vague and slow pace was starting to annoy Emma. She had insane schedules, therefore she was always running, and she couldn’t remember the last time she went out for a walk after school or in the morning. Her life was nothing but college, arrange papers and then the “normal”, follow someone or sometimes, fly to Japan to meet up with her boss. It wasn’t something common, most of the heads of the Yakuza didn’t meet up with the people working for them, but she was special, spoiled, others would say.
Emma carefully followed the other’s steps, a good amount of feet away, just to make sure she couldn’t see her. But what she least expected to happen, well, happened. The other turned to face her, with a light, innocent smile. Did she see her and notice what she was actually doing? Emma, of course, turned to face one of the stores that luckily were on the sidewalks. But this time she couldn’t get away with it.
It was different now, Emma was in front of the same building, but she wasn’t hiding now, just leaning her back against the concrete wall. “It’s me… Emma.” She quickly added her ame in the last minute to avoid the “who’s me” game. She was waiting for her friend to open the door. It was pretty paradoxical, how the line between work and personal life faded away, it was the first time it happened. But she couldn’t do anything about it, Sulli was a lovely person and nobody could deny it. She tried to stay away from her, but her bubbly and selfless personality sort of dragged Emma in and there was no way out. She didn’t even try to unfriend her either, though.

Midterms were close and for Emma, it was double work. Studying herself, plus helping the students she was tutoring with their study guides. She had to get to school earlier that day, since she was asked the previous night to help one of her classmates with a project due that morning. Once she got in the building, she quickly headed toward the classroom where she knew her teacher was to hand him the already finished essay and of course, being the 'teachers' favorite' allowed her to skip a few classes from time to time. She had a good excuse, though, the only reason was to help students. "Well done, Emma, you can go now." And with a quick bow, she walked out of the room.
Although the classes weren't starting yet, the corridors were a mess. It was obvious that everyone left their homework to the last minute, unlike her who finished a few days before. "I'm such a nerd." She muttered to herself with a soft smile curving on her lips as she was walking, clearly toward the library where she saw her classmate waving at her. When Emma sat in front of the other girl, her phone started to ring. She excused herself and stood up to walk to a less crowded corner. It was an unknown number, so that meant it was work, she was sure and the Japanese confirmed it. The empty music building? Was she in trouble? She knew there was someone who had helped her but she had no idea who they were. Maybe it was that person? That didn't matter in that moment, she had to focus and help her classmate or else she'd feel bad later.
And so the hours passed, morning classes were over and it was already lunch break. Emma waved at her classmate who was currently walking through the exit of the room before she, herself did the same thing and rushed toward the building where the meeting would take place. She was sure it was a little late, but she couldn't do anything about it. Emma was pretty nervous, it was the first time she'd meet someone who would be her co-worker. But any sort of feeling she had in that moment was quickly replaced for a clear annoyance when she saw the familiar face looking back at her. Out of thousand and thousand of students in South Korea, Seoul and SNU, it had to be him. She tried her best to keep a straight face, but the male's arrogant expression made her want to slap him and walk away.
"What do you want?" She exclaimed in a perfect Japanese when she was right in front of him.
— Mafia Bonds.
A normal telephone call for Chase, the Yakuza, words seemingly thrown at each other in perfect Japanese. With a sigh he hung up. “So now they also take elite students as rookies, Huh? Especially to work with me.” It was a mumbled statement more to himself as he ruffled his dark locks. He had been in the middle of packing his things for college, classes had already started but it wasn’t as if he cared much. His business phone and laptop were pushed into his dark brown leather bag as he slung it around his shoulders to leave the house.
In class. Everyone’s busy working on their project due to next week, wild chatting of people helping each other out, apart from one student: Chase Nam. Open on the screen of his computer is the student register of SNU, the college he had enrolled him around three years ago. Luckily as a hacker there was not a single problem for him to have a quick look in without revealing himself. “E. Emma Son.” He whispered as he clicked on her name, a page opening along with all information that were necessary for the school. The face was, unfortunately, too familiar.
"No."
He knew her, too well. A pretty girl, doing some kind of science major. He remembered doing a snarky remark once and that was how their relationship started. They weren’t exactly close, yet there was this feeling that always pushed him to tease her, to annoy her whenever he saw her. It was one single thing in college that made it a little bit more bearable. He scoffed, leaning back in his seat as he pulled his phone out, business one of course, and dialled the number he got from his friends in Tokyo. Once the other picked up, he gave her not a single second to speak as he already did so in their language, Japanese.
"Lunch break. Meet me in front of the empty music building."

"I used to have that one, but when I got the phone I have now, I never downloaded it again. But it was really cute, I like cute things in general. If I see one of those plushies I'm gonna get it for you." Emma lets out a light laugh, lifting her hand to cover her mouth as she shakes her head ever so slightly at the thought of her childhood games. "Never as a kid, but when I was on my first year of college, I made a mess in the lab. I can't remember what I tried out, but I know I won't do it again."
"I actually really like the games. Like I don’t know this game. It’s with line? And it’s called Tsum Tsum? I’ve been obsessed with playing it. Not only that, it’s just cute in general. They have like actual plushies in the disney store. I don’t know which one, but I’ve been trying to get one for a while." She sighs, crossing her arms. "Chemistry? Did you ever like blow anything up? Because that sounds like fun, honestly."
