Once again it’s the actual universal organization that’s making things difficult on that front. “So.. Just the key part in all of this being x’s? Like he thought the old names weren’t good enough or something? Or is it uhhhh– those aesss umm, style things?”

Jumping over one hoop left him confused at another, good thing some time was on their side as they remained parked at weathered steps of Yen Sid’s tower.

”Lay– no, Lea! Lea lea.” He confirms quick, giving a few quick nods to show this wasn’t a lost cause. “Or is it like some secret Nobody 101 he kept to himself?”

lea laughs at sora’s attempts to figure this stuff out. he can’t help but find it somewhat entertaining. especially trying to figure out why xemnas changed their names in the first place, lea honestly never really thought about it.  “ aha, maybe xemnas just wanted to make it clear that as nobodies, we were different from our human selves. a way to leave that part of us behind, or something. ”  he shrugs with one arm, using the other to support his weight.

“ but y’know, one can only guess he got the ‘x’ from his own name. or maybe something to do with the χ-blade. ”  or was that just a coincidence ...? he sighs. “ roxas and xion still call me axel, so call me what you’d like. at this point it’s too later to fret over which name people go with. as long as they know both names are mine. ”

      “A little!” Sora chirped, inching over a bit to make room for Lea. “We’ve hung out a few times now. But we haven’t really… discussed anything too deep. I jus’ hope they get used to their new lives soon, y’know?” Sora shrugged one shoulder, then gave Lea a playful nudge with his elbow. “How ‘bout you an’ Isa? You’ve been recompleted longer than them but you haven’t had much of a chance to sit back and breathe.”

lea nods at sora’s words. he sure does hope the other two can get adjusted to having normal lives. progress has been made, at least. they’re working things out. when nudged, he scoffs playfully. though the playful smirk shifts to a slightly distant stare. “ isa and i, huh ... uh, well. things are going. adjusting to be able to feel again is kinda rough. ”  he rubs the back of his head. mostly glad that sora doesn’t know much about his and isa’s history.  “ we’re figuring things out at least. just good to have him back. ”  the red head nods to himself.

he smiles.  “ good to have you back too, y’know. ”

          haru peaks her head into the classroom, flashing a quick ( but nervous ) smile at ann-chan before stepping into the classroom.  sitting behind ann was. the person she’s looking for &. she steps up beside akira’s desk.  ‘   akira-kun, are you busy after school? there’s something heavy on the roof that i can’t lift by myself.     ‘      she shifts to the side so she can reach down to give morgana a pat.     ‘    we can get some snacks afterwards, my treat !     ‘

akira is tapping away at this phone, likely a text fromI. the voice of his friend brings him to lift his head and look to her with his full attention. his lips part slightly as he processes her request. a beat passes and he gives haru a small smile.  “ i can help you out, sure. i didn’t have any plans. ”  he slips his phone in his pocket before getting up from his desk.  “ lead the way. ”  of course he’s always willing to help haru out, but the snack afterwards definitely made the task seem more worthwhile.

    “ -- my name is actually lea, ok? sure, you can still call me axel. but all this confusion regarding names is going to drive me bonkers eventually. ”  the red head had been thinking about it for awhile, but he wasn’t actually sure if sora understood how their names worked. “ when we became nobodies, xemnas renamed all of us. just scrambled our names a put an ‘x’ in there somewhere. you following? so, since roxas is your nobody ... you see? he has the same letters as your name, just with an additional ‘x’ in it. ”  he leans back a bit, bringing his hand to his forehead. he still has to explain this to ventus later ...

     “ hey ... ”  the war was over, a lot had happened, and a lot was on lea’s mind.  “ i feel like i keep putting this off, but... do you want to talk? ”  he rubs the back of his head. never too good at these kinds of things.  “ just about, well... all that’s happened i guess. ”  their talk on the battlefield was brief, limited by time. was everything that needed to be said spoken? lea wants to actually repair their friendship the right way. there’s a bit of anxiety that itches the back of his throat.  the need to say something else to release any tension rises.  “ ---- we could even do it over ice cream, if you wanted. ”   the solution to everything. ok lea.
