A Skuld from this week! She’s probably one of my favorite from the ux gang.

I finally finished Skuld’s Keyblade! To be honest, when I started this project some few months back, the first Keyblade I began working on was Skuld’s. However I could never settle on a design, hitting roadblock after roadblock, which caused me to move onto the others. Now I can post this feeling good about the overall design.

The look was inspired from Norse mythology, which was directly inspired by Skuld’s name. [Skuld is one of the three Norns who decided upon the fates of others.] The blade is similar to a broadsword with my attempts at runes inscribed along the metal, and made as feminine as I could without losing any badassery. The wing motif comes from the name.

(Almost) all the girls! This was difficult to put together.

Back when we were still friends, we used to sneak into the castle. And we made a friend there, a girl. We apprenticed to Ansem the Wise to rescue her.

Yeah, and we failed. One day she was just gone!

You gave up.

…So. You found her?

…I’m afraid not. Nary a trace. I started to wonder if we’d imagined her. Maybe she never existed.

And then they forgot all about it, but not her.

I’ve been thinking about Lea, Isa, and Subject X for days now. In my heart, Subject X was where Lea’s keyblade came from. ‘Course, that means that Isa should have a dormant one too…..
