For this year's Fair we'd love for you to come up with prompts, write stories, create artworks and read podfics that feature creative Wizarding occupations!

The form covers the following:

Era: Hogwarts Era, post-Hogwarts, EWE, Epilogue-compliant or AU, or if that is left up to the creator Additions: List no more than three items/concepts/words to include in the fanwork Career Theme: Include at least one unusual occupation for Harry or Draco Scenario: Give a scenario/setting/etc Maximum Rating: General to Explicit

Rules and Guidelines:

You may submit up to FIVE prompts a day.

Please submit each prompt separately through the prompting form.

To self-prompt, please submit your prompt during prompting period and claim your own prompt later.

Anyone can submit prompts. You don’t have to be a Fair participant to be eligible for prompting.

If you’ve made a mistake in your prompt submission, you may send an email to fanfairmod@gmail.com to fix it.

This isn’t a gift fest; creators are not obligated to gift the work to the prompter, unless they choose to do so.

We only ask that creators are heavily inspired by the prompt; creators must not deviate from the food and travel themes listed but may adjust the prompt scenario as necessary.

“You definitely are. Six months until the end of days.” Draco flicks his wand, and the clippings march back into his journal in a neat line. 

“I’ll prepare an unholy nursery.” Harry flops down next to him. “Why’d you save them?”

“I love seeing my name in print.” Draco takes his hand. “And it’s a good story, I think. Don’t you?”

Harry hums, kisses his palm. “Yeah. Yeah, it is.”

He sets the crocodile down and sits beside Oscar on the piano bench, flippers knocking into Oscar’s shoes. He’s wearing swim trunks with anchors on them. He plays a little song, something twinkly and nice.

“No, you fucking idiot asshole.” Max swipes at his eyes, rough and jerky. “You smelled like–like. Like you–like I. Like I needed you.” Daniel needed to be resuscitated once. Fucking leviathan Toto Wolff gave him chest compressions and he woke up with a fractured sternum. It’s supposedly healed, but sometimes he can feel the fault line. “What am I supposed to do with that, Max?” He looks behind himself to the flesh toned painting and the little closet of horrors. “Where am I supposed to put that?”

Harry awakes to one Draco Malfoy saying precisely, poshly,”What the fuck?” in a way Harry hadn’t even realised he had missed.

A bit blearily, Harry said, “What are you doing here?”

“What am I—” Malfoy started and stopped, breathing harshly out of his nose. “Would you put on some trousers, at least, if we must have a conversation about this?”

Harry looked down at his bare legs, his baggy and holey orange Chudley Cannons boxers that he only ever wore when he was down to his last pair of pants and hadn’t summoned the energy for a laundry charm, his persistent shorts tan, his knees that had stayed knobbly no matter how many squats he put in at the DMLE. He shrugged. “It’s my dream, isn’t it? I really don’t see why I should.”

Harry looked up then, peering blearily [repeat] into the formless black void surrounding them. He really wished his glasses could magically appear in this dream, but he had never mastered lucid dreaming, no matter how much he practiced—the nightmares always stayed and Harry was always along for the ride.

And it looked like the ride tonight was inexplicably Draco Malfoy. A Draco Malfoy who had been dead for [ten] years.

Re: the bros: this fic had a few stops and starts, and some details are still on the ephemeral side, but basically Draco and Harry intern at Gringotts, and the culture there is VERY toxic, very bro-y hedge fund. Wall Street for Wizards. Marcus Flint takes them under his wing, which means he takes them out to clubs and they do a lot of drugs together. guess what else happens! I actually am so excited to return to this one. I have 10K written, I doubt more than 3K of it is useable. Warning! Drugs!

Flint snapped his fingers, and a vial of something popped onto the table in front of them. The analysts all snickered and moved in a bit closer.  “Happy hump day,” Flint said, and tipped the vial over. Sparkles and powder cascaded out, and Flint whispered “Acies.” Like marching soldiers, the substance filed onto the shining surface of the table in orderly, glittering lines. Without preamble, each of the analysts leaned forward and started sniffing it up.  “What is that?” Harry asked Draco under his breath.  “Pixie Dust,” Draco whispered back. “It’s horribly expensive stuff. Total waste of money and magic.” Then, without hesitating, he plugged one of his nostrils with a single long, well-manicured finger, leaned forward, and enthusiastically hoovered a whole line of it up his nose. He sat up, blinking owlishly at Harry. His pupils looked like they’d doubled in size. The look he gave Harry was all young, pink-mouthed innocence. “What?”  “You just said it’s a waste of money. And magic!”  “Well, I didn’t have to pay for it.”  Harry looked suspiciously down at the table. “What does it do?”  “So far, it appears to do nothing to stop annoying little gits from asking one insipid questions.” Harry kicked him. “Oh, fuck off. I don’t know, it’s a party drug. It makes you feel good.”  “How good?”  For the first time, possibly ever in their lives, Draco smiled at him. “Scared, Potter?”

LA, Who am I to Love You? by @epitomereally

The third of Dr. Epitomereally’s graduation presents! Like epitomereally, I love LA, and this fic is just grounded in the real places of the city (including a few of my own haunts).

This book’s design started with the title page. LA at sunset, with that photograph, gave me the idea for the ombre color cloth and my own paste paper endpapers, which are purple at the top and dark blue at the bottom. The city skyline on the cover also serves as the section dividers, and I traced it from an actual photo of one of LA’s many skylines.

I also did cloth jointed endpapers, which are really growing on me as a technique. The end bands are silk—mostly two-bead on front, but I cheated and slipped in a little orange at the center. Then, for each chapter, the opener is a photo from the actual places mentioned in the book. And, of course, I had to include the playlist epitomereally put together for the fic.

sorry if this is tmi but sometimes you discover a formula 1 driver and find him overly relatable on a personal level. and then sometimes, some time later, you click on a fanfiction by em "powerful owl" powerful-owl and discover that same formula 1 driver has been given the exact method of jerking of that you also use (allowing for different tackle).
