So when Cosette reunites with a dying Valjean, she tells him this:

 “We have a carriage at the door. I shall run away with you. If necessary, I shall employ force.”

And she laughingly made a movement to lift the old man in her arms.

And it’s neat that this is something Valjean and Cosette have in common– they’re both extremely stubborn about forcing people to accept help. When people refuse Valjean’s charity, he breaks into their houses to leave them money.  When Cosette realizes what Valjean is trying to do, she is like “I WILL GRAB YOU AND CARRY YOU ALL THE WAY BACK HOME IF I MUST”

Among its many other virtues, Les Mis 72 has this Excellent moment

Thinking about the fact that in Stars Javert sings "Those who follow the path of the righteous shall have their reward" and then in the end during the Epilogue/reprise of Do You Hear the People Sing everyone sings "The chain will be broken and all men will have their reward!" The prostitute who was guilty in the eyes of the law just trying to provide for her daughter, the criminal on the run simply trying to give the girl he considers his child a better life, the group of student rebels who commited treason for a better world, the daughter of a notorious criminal who was a criminal herself but gave her life saving the man she loved-- maybe they weren't right in the eyes of the law, but the law isn't always right, and in all morality and goodness, their actions were the most righteous of all, and that righteousness does earn it's reward in heaven.
