Tale of sand
I think how tale of sand uses colours is really incredible it can get away with complex colour schemes but still looks consistent
Similar to black sad tale of sand switches between cold and warm colours to highlight important panels or important things in the panel Taylor's and also uses a lot of opposing colours like on the front page it's yellow and purple

Jack Kirby
Jack Kirby his work is very much the traditional comic style with bright vibrant colours and blacked out shadows I really like simplistic shadows and how he is able to make stationary pictures look three Dame and the amount of detail in his pictures are incredible.
He uses action lines to show movement as well as dynamic poses which works for superheroes although I don't I don't think dynamic poses will fit into my comic idea

Don't be afraid of the dark's fairies
Don't be afraid of the dark's fairies are a lot darker than what people imagine varies to be these ferries are twisted versions of tooth fairies and they haven't been fed for years so they have started attacking humans
They look like little hunched over gremlins skinny and messed up teeth they do not have wings though. I really like the skinny look of them I think it would be really fun to sculpt all the wrinkles with sculpey.

Their artwork reminds me of Joel Jones because kei zama does the same solid black shadows and really great rendering of metal and their work with lighting I also love how they draw backgrounds and where they put light sources all of their pictures are coherent and all looks very dynamic

ben templesmith
ben templesmith is an artist that has worked on comics bookcoversmovie posters trading cardsand film consepts
his work seems to b sort of cartoony with quite a lot of detail. his body proportions are more exaggerated but not too much to take away from the art itself. I also like how he uses dots and other shapes to add little details as well.

Joelle jones
joelle jones is a comic book artist who is best known for her work on lady killer published by dark horse comics.
I really love her art, the way she draws bodies and people. she has made a really good name for herself, she appears to be the main artist for the dc comics. she has a great eye for colours as well as rendering skin and line art. I feel her proportions are perfect, she seems to focus on drawing women like me.

Ortolan bunting
The ortolan bunting is indeed a small bird that has faced threats to its population due to illegal hunting, primarily driven by culinary traditions. In some cultures, particularly in parts of France, ortolans have been considered a delicacy for centuries. The traditional method of consuming ortolans involves capturing the birds, fattening them in dark cages to enhance their flavour, and then roasting them. The birds are often eaten whole, including the bones.
This practice has led to a significant decline in ortolan bunting populations, pushing them towards the brink of extinction. The species is now classified as "Near Threatened" on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List. Conservation efforts have been implemented to protect ortolan buntings, including legal protection, habitat conservation, and educational programs aimed at raising awareness about the species' plight.
The hunting and consumption of ortolan buntings raise ethical and conservation concerns. Organizations and individuals are working to change attitudes and practices to ensure the survival of this species. Conservation measures include stricter enforcement of hunting regulations, habitat preservation, and advocating for sustainable alternatives to consuming ortolans.

Other weird food
I've not tried much in the way of unusual food. Probably the most unusual thing that I have tried is Ostrich steaks.
I have asked a friend though who has travelled a lot and does like to try local delicacies to where he's stayed. In South Africa he tried Ox tongue slices, which he said was very nice. He also tried Ox liver pate as a starter. He also had, Biltong is a South African food that is likened to beef jerky but also uses a lot of local meat such as ostrich and Kudu which is llike an Antelope.
In Japan he had locusts, in a sticky glaze that made them taste very sweet. You can get a lot of street food like that in Japan. He tried deep fried grubs as well. He said that they were still slightly squishy inside but didn't taste like it would be anything special.
Perhaps some sort of whole fish could go into the faery pie so that it would bulk up the pie itself. You could have the tails sticking out as decoration.

Other stories including humans in food
There is a story in Greek mythology of the Cannibal feast of Thyestes. Astyages dreamed that his daughter would give birth to a king that would overthrow him and ordered Harpagus to kill his son. However Harpagus decided to not kill him and instead gave his son to a shepherd to raise him instead. A decade later Cyrus was discovered alive and Astyargus killed Harpagus son and fed him to him during a banquet. There were some stories, albeit untrue about human meat being found in McDonalds burgers in America. This was after a scandal of horsemeat being found in burgers and the exaggeration just got more extreme, by false reports being circulated on Facebook that human meat had also been found. Horse meat also wasn't found in McDonalds products either. In Africa, Mostly the East and Saharan areas Albinism is something that is persecuted. It is believed that certain parts of a albinism child can have magical and healing powers and children can be hunted and killed, dismembered and parts eaten or ground down and put into medicine to help heal the sick. Certain countries are making laws against this although the killings keep happening. Some folklore also say that Albinism is a curse and people are killed for that reason too.

Mos Espa
Mos Espa market was a shopping area on space port of Mos Espa, Tatooine. It was seen in the films, especially 'Phantom Menace' to be selling street food. There was the incident where Jar Jar binks tried to eat something and was confronted by Sebulba after sending some street food flying and it hitting him. Graga was a seller of street food in Mos Espa. She grew her own food in the sewers beneath the city itself. Graga, who is a 'Swokes Swokes', these beings were often known to be violent, and were also known to be canabals. Cannibalism was actually a punishment for them, but an accepted one. However, to be eaten by their own family was actually prefered to being eaten by strangers. Akims Munch is the food place that Sebulba was eating at when he attacked Jar Jar. Its said that the food there is is often undercooked and stringy. The Troll Market in Hellboy is a market that is hidden from the eyes of man. It is a magical market and is believed to have been originally placed in the Sahara desert. However, over the centuries, along with migration, the troll market relocated and it was later located under the Brooklyn Bridge in New York. Faeries have been seen in the Market, along with many other magical and mythical items.

Victorian street food
Jellied eels are eels that were caught often in the river Thames and were considered more of a 'Traditional' London dish. They were Cut into rounds, and boiled in water and vinegar to make a stock. The Eel produced gelatine which made the the water set like a jelly. They were a cheap food, but had a lot off goodness so became very popular with the poor in London. They were often sold in Pie and Mash shops. Eel pies were originally pies filled with Eels from the river Thames, and cooked the same way as jellied eels, and put into a pie, but over the years the Eels became more expensive so the eels were replaced with meat. Baked Sheep's heart and offal were all parts of the animals that were left over so were in a larger supply. It became popular with not just the poorer people but started to become a delicacy with the higher social classes. Oysters were very popular during Victorian times, and there were large quantities to be caught. They would be sold in bulk and would be pickled to help preserve them for a lot longer. During Dickensian times they would be added to a small amount of beef and put into pies so that they bulked out a beef pie. Pickled oysters could also be brought in taverns and from street sellers. It was often the lower working classes that brought them.

What's in a pie?
A pie could have almost any filling that you want to have in it. Some people like to have sweet, and some people like to have savoury. At Christmas it is most common to have mince pies which are considered a dessert rather than a mains meal. I think we associate beef or chicken with pies that we have as part of a main meal and often the mash seems to appear on the menu as well, possibly going back to the pie and mash shops of London. It is still the staple food of football matches, often being sold in the clubs, and vendors outside the terraces, and even end up being used as an insult during football matches at players that are underperforming. Some pies, don't have pastry though. We know Shepherds pie and Cottage pie are both made from potato, mince and vegetables, although these were considered to be more countryside dishes.

Typeograpy and typefaces
Typography is the art and technique of arranging type to make written language legible, readable, and visually appealing. It involves the selection of fonts, spacing, sizing, and the overall layout of text to convey information effectively and aesthetically. Typography plays a crucial role in various design disciplines, including graphic design, web design, and print media.
A font, or typeface, is a set of characters with a consistent and distinctive design. Examples include Times New Roman, Arial, and Helvetica
I didn't choose a specific typeface thought I knew I wanted something very legible and kind of fancy looking as it was supposed to be a similar font to what you would find in a news paper.
