So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????
I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.
Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?

Change a single letter and change the word game
I want to play a game with you all.
You have to make a new word by changing only one letter of the last word.

You're not weak, you're tired because you have been trying so hard when you are already so overwhelmed. You're not lazy, you're sick and burned out. You're not giving up on yourself when you take a break to rest. You're not unproductive or useless because you are not like other people. You are not a projection of other's' desires. Try projecting your own needs outwardly, communicate when you need help and prioritize your own comfort, your rest, your recovery.

Izuku: Kacchan, what does that lady’s bumper sticker say?
Bakugo, reading: ‘Kids need both parents.’
Izuku, yelling at the lady’s car: WELL, SOME KIDS DON’T HAVE A CHOICE, KAREN!

Sorin likes to think that he and Artemis are two different people born of the same circumstances. Both made for the moon, for nights and cool air and quiet laughter, yet so passionately defensive of the other side of the coin, of the incandescent presence of the sun, warm to the point of unbearable but always there, a constant in the universe of variables. They both try their best, for him.
One for a brother, one for a lover.
But Artemis has always stayed with the moon, a loyal companion to the night, a quiet warrior who revels in the hunt.
Sorin, though...
No.
With Sorin wasting away, the lifelong illness catching up to him and sapping the strength from his bones, Icarus emerges once again, triumphant and sorrowful, from the ashes of a once-brilliant life.
Icarus has always been brazen and bronze-limbed, carefree and caged, a twisted paradox of tragedy and triumph.
He has always been a bird in a cage, hopelessly beautiful and horribly broken.
He's always known his only moment of freedom would be a mad dash of brief, exhilarating freedom, before he came crashing down.
Icarus may have been freed of his cage, but his wings had already been clipped.
He may have been made for the Moon, but he has always belonged to the sun.
And he knew.
She stands there, arms crossed, eyes flashing yet unreadable. She is young, not yet at the cusp of youth, but her entire being thrums with the hunt. Sorin knows, of course. He always knows.
"He loves you," Artemis states, voice sharp, hard, almost desperate, like she is trying to protect him.
Sorin just smiles. "He loves who I was, I think," he replies softly.
"It hurts him to see you like this."
"I know."
Of course he knows. Sorin always does.
He knew from the start, what he had gotten himself into. He knew the moment he had seen Apollo, in the hospital room on the beach watching with an almost palpable aura of ancient sadness and loss, of longing and regret, of joy and relief.
But Sorin says nothing. He simply smiles at the Moon, at the Hunter, at the sister desperate to protect her own. "I made my choice already. He knows I have."
"Would you change it, if you could?"
Her voice is startlingly quiet now, devoid of the emotions previously brimming like an ocean storm like the ocean that took him.
And Sorin smiles, Icarus humming through his veins and wrapped around him like a cloak.
"No," Icarus answers, smile gentle and knowing. "I saved him in the end, didn't I?"
