Brainrot recently abt the idea of Tanizaki and Tachihara swapping places.

Tanizaki being the one to transfer and all of the black lizard making it very clear that he can’t replace Tachihara and how they wish Tachihara were still here.

Unknowingly becoming the very thing that drove Tachihara away from his birth family (though in this instance, Mori genuinely is trying to replace him and Tanizaki has tried to kill them).

Meanwhile Tachihara ends up with the agency.

Really, it was just so Yosano could heal him. Plus, the government would only be willing to release the hunting dogs if Fukuzawa were to keep them in line.

He goes to rejoin the mafia and Mori straight up tells him that he has little need for a blind former spy who betrayed everyone who cared about him (surely this will drive him to desperation and he’ll come back. Also, Yosano threatened him and he kinda doesn’t wanna fuck with Tachihara atm as a result).

Anyway, since Yosano made her stance very clear, she invites him to join the agency.

This leads to both Tanizaki and Tachihara learning about the other and feeling replaced.

And then they sit and talk about it and realize how much each of their families means to them.

And yet, they still have to go back to their respective sides.

i will personally never forgive yenpress for botching the translation because now it's impossible to find chuuya / dazai / yosano takes that do not start with "first off, mori sucks and he's a predator"

mori is the don of the port mafia and has committed several war crimes, but not those ones. yell at him and hate him for the severe psychological manipulation of yosano & for dazai joining the mafia n being his witness. you know, the things he did.
