I think the print on the ticket faded because of exposure to heat. On this day in 1997 some friends and I went to see Atari Teenage Riot with Ec8or and Shizuo on the Digital Hardcore Recordings. Tour at The Whiskey A Go-Go. #ConcertChronicles

Unfortunately the type on this stub has almost completely faded. Bummer. On this day in 1997 I saw Atari Teenage Riot, Ec8or, and Shizuo on the Digital Hardcore Recordings Tour at The Whiskey A Go Go. ATR played an intense set and the addition of Nic Endo was a pleasant surprise (because she's really hot), but my most vivid memories are of Shizuo. The DJ in the group periodically lit 45s on fire and tossed them into the crowd, and there was a woman in the band who wore a cowboy hat, screamed occasionally, but mostly danced around while lifting her dress. I was pretty close to the stage, she wasn't wearing underwear, and I was 16. It was one of the best sets I had ever seen. Too bad their music blew. #ConcertChronicles

On this day in 2001 I saw #MeFirstandtheGimmeGimmes at The Troubadour with ex gf 1 (I only count post-high school relationships). I was 6 months away from turning 21 and couldn't take advantage of the free on-stage bar. Other than that, it was a fun show. There were two opening bands and they were both terrible. #ConcertChronicles
