My current not-approved-by-the-government opinion is that im not anyone's parent and i should not be responsible for random teenagers online. If I post smth thats 'meant for adults' and its labled as such then what happens from there is literally not my problem. If a teen- who is fully capable of turning on self moderation settings on their own btw- doesn't use a site's provided self moderation settings and they see boobs or dicks then like literally whatever, its neither the end of the world or a big deal. It shouldn't fall on me or a website or a tech company to do a parent's job, and also frankly i don't think a parent should be breathing down their 16 year old's neck on the off chance they do actually want to look at tits, but thats a discussion that americans will fucking throw a fit at so maybe we'll discuss that another day in better company.
"But what about young children!!" see thats! where parents should be involved- that is to say, why are you letting your young child on the internet in the first place, you fucking idiot.
Edit that's not gonna be seen: i've muted this post, if you're arguing in the replies i do not see it nor do i care.

I fully understand that the preponderance of evidence is that George Lucas put absolutely zero thought into what Naboo’s culture was actually supposed to look like outside of what we see on screen, but as far as unintentionally effective worldbuilding goes, establishing that Naboo a. has a tradition of electing literal children as figurehead rulers of its planetary government, and b. apparently also has a tradition of assassinating these children with sufficient frequency that dressing up a bunch of other children as decoy targets has become standard operating procedure by the time of Padmé Amidala’s reign suggests that maybe the fact that this random backwater is a breeding ground for Sith Lords isn’t as unlikely as it initially appears.

Tech didn't save his family by dying.
Tech saved his family by cutting the rail car connection.
Therefore, Tech's survival would in no way undermine, devalue, ruin, or otherwise lessen the risk he took and the outcome he achieved for his family.
If you don't want Tech to return, I respect your opinion even though I don't agree.
I have to say, though, that I find the oft-quoted idea of "Tech returning would ruin/take away all meaning from his sacrifice" to be... troubling, since it implies the only way a sacrifice "counts" or is "meaningful" is if death is involved.
Sacrifice encompasses a far wider range of intentions and actions than just dying.

an interesting linguistics find! so I'm reading this text from 1908 and it keeps referencing "hp" in the context of "not being at full hp" "applying your full hp to a task" etc
and I'm like....... okay that is a perfectly normal way to describe energy and reads totally clear to me, but I KNOW you don't mean hit points/health points which is the first place my brain goes, so what are YOU using hp to mean
and it's not explained in-text, which means it was common enough to not warrant explanation to the 1908 audience, so gotta look elsewhere
horsepower. turns out it's horsepower.
and I'm absolutely FASCINATED that a commonly used initialism from 1908 now stands for something different AND YET the contextual meaning is still the same to a 21st-century reader
I could hand this guy my nintendo switch and he'd be like, ah yes I understand, this ''''pokemon'''' loses horsepower throughout the fight
language is amazing

Hunter heacanon:
Before getting his face tattoo he spent around 2 or three months drawing it with a sharpie everyday because he wanted to be sure about it first.
Obviously it smudged and was always messy so everyone teased him because they thought he didn’t get the tattoo because he was scared and not because he wanted to be sure.
So at the end he got it just to prove everyone wrong, and to be completely petty about it got the ribcage and arm as well.
(Plus with his heightened sensed it hurt like hell)
Also do you think that bandana is hiding a vile hair line like Tech’s or..?
