Tell me about it! Just taking a walk these days really brings to mind one of my favorite quotes… “Speak softly, and carry a big crowbar.”

please don’t reblog!

I FEEL LIKE THIS SAYS A LOT.
There was that time in the novels/manga where she tried to brand a man’s eyeball with the Kuroshitsuji seal (and was ultimately stopped by Kadota), and now again she’s threatening to sear out Izaya’s eyeballs with an iron.
But think about how important eyes are, especially to Erika. Her livelihood is based entirely around it – when she reads, she reads manga. Unlike an audio tape of a novel you can never experience the visual splendor of a manga or anime with hearing alone. She cosplays, she is a creator of visual decoration and ornamentation (by way of jewelry making). Again, something at which, without her sight, she would be entirely useless.
And of course it’s not just Erika. I think she probably understands this more than most because of her hobbies and livelihood, but there are a great many things that people take for granted and I think eyesight is one of them.
So when she is threatening to hurt someone’s eyes it’s like she is literally saying, “I am going to take away your everything.”
#TBT.#eye horror //#back when i had this blog i did NOT organize my headcanons at all and so#there's a lot of stuff buried#but i found this !! and it's important#canonically we know for a FACT that erika isn't making an empty threat here#she will absolutely do it#anyways friendly reminder that erika bitch-slapped one of the most dangerous people in ikebukuro and then threatened to solder his eyeballs

PINNED POST: i’ve been going through the tags and following a bunch of blogs either for drrr!! characters or other characters that happen to interest me. the pages and content on this blog are wildly outdated (i haven’t properly written erika in about 3 years) and i don’t know when i’ll be able to go through and update everything, but the main thing to know is that i’m incredibly open, eager to make friends, and i value respectfulness above everything else!

This is the part where I’m supposed to tell you that revenge is never the answer and nothing good ever comes from violence, but I don’t think much good comes from allowing people to control you, either.

elusivetune:
The fact she actually took it to stopping her work and stare at him should had made him a aware of the fact this wasn’t just small talk while sewing, but a serious conversation.
Delic waited in silence a moment, letting Erika grow bored enough to turn her attention back to her sewing. Still, he was aware; her focus was divided, and her ears were waiting
“No.” He flatly answered. “That would be confusing.” He could not imagine hearing something that wasn’t actually there. It would had been confusing beyond belief. “It’s like…” He frowned slightly, his gaze on Erika’s work, as he tried to best describe it, “Pulses and waves.” Though, Delic could only assume that Erika had different ideas of how those might be present in a dream.
Whatever interest she had in her work has faded like a mist—it sits abandoned now in a pile down at her elbows where they rest on her workstation, arms upturned and her chin roosted on the heels of her hands.

Her eyes study the ceiling in a pensive curve and settle back to her automaton friend. “Is that different than music?” It sounds similar. “Isn’t every sound just a pulse and a wave until we put notes to it? Oahh, maybe you and I hear things differently!” Which has never occurred to her before. Erika doesn’t spend too much time considering the differences between someone like her and someone like Delic—it seems rude, doesn’t it?—but it’s just as the wise Mouse once said, How do machines know what Tasty Wheat tasted like?

i’m not entirely sure what i plan on doing with this blog but what i do know is that i miss erika and i miss writing with people here. i know 99% of the people i used to write with are long-gone but i want to TRY writing erika again... if i can. there are definitely things i have written in the past that i will no longer be writing and it’s been actual Years since i watched the series but i picked up erika without having read a single light novel so I FEEL LIKE THAT’S NOT AN ISSUE HAH

Notepad: Trick or treat!

“Treat.” Erika certainly didn’t trust any tricks Eu was willing to perform.
