“Okay!” He called out, focus being on his outfit for the day. He tried to hurry and the shower was also a quick wash and rinse, followed by a quick dry off. Soon, Jax was all dressed and ready for the day, so he could follow Zeus downstairs. “This outfit okay?” He asked as he met Erin.

Erin looked up and did a quick examination of what Jax had picked out. She gave him a nod and a thumbs up. “Perfect choice for today’s weather.” She placed two pieces of bread down in the toaster and began to slice up an apple. “Any particular tea or just whatever we have....”

“I love you too, mom” he gave her a soft smile. “I’ll try my best.” he told her and gave a playful whimper as he tried to snuggle closer. “Too earlyy.” He grinned before he rolled over onto his back. “Toast, apple and tea.” Maybe not the typical breakfast for a kid his age, but he hadn’t had the most sweetest cravings lately, at least not in the morning. Jax got out of bed and headed to find an outfit to wear, Zeus following right behind.

Erin watched as the pair left the bedroom and she shook her head with a chuckle as she finally stood up. "I love your big brother, but he's a little strange." She rubbed her bump as she walked towards the master bathroom. "Shower Jax." She called out to Jax as she shut the door.

Ten minutes later as she reached the top of the stairs she could hear Jax's shower running. It stopped almost as soon as she reached the main level and a minute later Zeus came charging down the stairs.

Gavin chuckled at Erin’s joke. “Not for a single second. And you have a poker face like no one I’ve ever met.” He grabbed two bottles of water and handed Erin one before he joined her on the couch. “I just finished all the required paperwork. I was going to walk it over to the courthouse when I went for lunch.” He nodded. “I do have a few things planned, nothing over the top however. Also nothing that needs attention before the big day. I bet Jax is excited about getting out of the city. As I’m sure you are too. I can’t wait to see the property, the pictures you showed Jordan and I probably don’t do it justice. Smart idea getting help since we can’t have anything endangering you or your precious cargo.” He chuckled as he lightly placed a hand on Erin’s bump.

“It was worth a shot.” Erin chuckled as she took the bottle from Gavin and relaxed. She remembered just how much paperwork was required for a marriage license and she gave her future brother-in-law a sympathetic look. “Jax is overly excited about getting away although he’s a little sad because he had wanted Tyler to join but he has games and practices that he can’t miss. I’m just looking forward to peace and quiet and relaxation. My only plan for the week is to read, sleep and spend quality time with Jax.” She laughed a little when the baby pushed back at Gavin’s hand. “Finn and Nicky actually plan to do the heavy lifting part of setting up all the important parts and then Annie, Brooke and Riley will help with the rest a couple days before everyone else arrives for the wedding.”

The pile of papers on the desk in front of him were for once not work related. He had just come from his final court session from the latest case and it had been a success with the defendant being found guilty and receiving the full requested sentence. It had left him in a great mood and he was ready to tackle all the wedding necessities that had been on the back burner. The first task was to fill out and file the final form for the marriage license. Since he and Jordan were not getting married in a church, there were actually less forms required but the license was a must. Thankfully they didn’t need to hire an officiant since Danny had offered to take on that role. A move that had shocked Jordan and surprised everyone but Erin.

Gavin was just signing his name under where Jordan had already signed when a knock sounded on his office door. He had left it open since he wasn’t worried about interruptions this late in the day. He smiled at the person in the doorway when he looked up. He jumped up and moved to offer his future sister-in-law a hand. “Erin. What brings you down to the old stomping grounds?” He helped her to sit on the couch he had in his office, which was actually her old office. @erinreagan-rp

It felt weird returning to the DA’s office and Erin honestly felt a little uncomfortable as she walked the once familiar halls. Not much had changed in the year since she’d left but yet so much seemed different. A few faces were familiar and those who had worked closely with her over the years greeted her and congratulated her on her pregnancy. She answered curious questions with ease but closed herself off to more of the direct questions. Finally she was able to get away and when she finally made it to her destination, her former office, she was more than ready to sit down and rest.

She knocked on the open door of the office that now belonged to Gavin. He had recently been promoted to Chief of the Trial Division, a position Erin was lined up for just before she quit. She glanced around the office as she waited for Gavin to greet her and she welcomed his assistance as she entered the room fully. “If I said I missed it would you believe me?” She asked with a hint of laughter. She definitely didn’t miss much from the place. “Actually I’m here to go over some of the wedding stuff. I know you have a few surprises planned for Jordan and I want to make sure we can have everything ready for the big day. Jax and I are going out there on Thursday for a week and Nicky, Finn and the boys are joining us for the weekend. Figured while I have extra hands we can start to set things up.”
