QiJiu Week 2025

A good July 9th to all! The tumblr of qijiuweek returns with the prompts for this year's event, we can't wait to see what you guy will create!

From September 7th to the 14th, this event celebrates the romantic relationship between Yue Qingyuan and Shen Qingqiu (Shen Jiu)

You may use both, one or none of the prompts as inspiration for you fanwork.

Each time Suo insists on buying something nice for him Sakura still feels slightly off. They’re in their mid-twenties, fairly comfortable in terms of money but the tiny voice inside his head won’t shut up about how he’s undeserving of pretty, quality things. He brushes it off and tries on a shirt Suo picked for him – gorgeous deep blue silk. He takes a look in the mirror and nods in contentment, not bad at all. He steps out, sliding the curtain and Suo’s gaze lights up a little. Then a smile forms on his illegally kissable lips.

– You’re the most handsome man in the world and I am very lucky.

If it wasn’t for his tone he would’ve taken it as a back-handed compliment. Suo looks completely mesmerised and it makes him blush still, after many years of being together.

– Pffft. Asshole.

– You wound me.

Suo replies with a smirk and steps into the cabin, pushing him towards the mirror, closing the curtain behind them on a magnet. Sakura feels his own breath hitch as Suo slides his hands under the silk, lips landing on his neck. He should be mad but draws him in a deep kiss instead, tugging on his hair a little. It never fails to make him weak – how strongly Suo cares, loves and desires him.

– We’re buying it and I won’t take a no for an answer.

Suo whispers in his ear, gently biting near his helix ring. Sakura closes his eyes with a deep breath in.

– Get out, I need to change.

– M-hm, let’s get home soon. You’re bad for my patience.

– And you for mine yet I’m not complaining.

– Don’t be mad, kitten, I'll make sure you’re getting the best treatment today.

Suo quickly regains the usual composure and steps out, leaving him cursing in his mind. Seriously, can they shop peacefully?! It’s only been a week of busy work on both sides, keeping them tired enough to not touch each other more than for a hug. A fucking week that felt like three months. He probably should be concerned about how easy he just let Suo kiss him in the changing room but instead does his best to calm down and regrets nothing.

Barely acquired calmness fades when Suo takes his hand on the way to the first floor of the mall – being with someone who isn’t ashamed of you in the slightest feels incredible.

He stops by the jewelry counter for a moment, lost in his thoughts. Is it stupid to buy them couple rings? Probably. Would it be something he'll go feral about? Yes.

– Which metal are you thinking?

Suo's attentive gaze and voice wake him up. Sakura shrugs and keeps walking towards the exit.

– It's nothing.

– Haruka.

– White gold would look great but it's unnecessary expensive. Steel fits us more anyway.

Suo smiles with a nod.

– I get where you're coming from, lifestyle and all that, but if you would like a golden ring I'd gladly propose to you with one. Not like we can legally marry, but it's the devotion aspect that counts I assume?

Sakura locks the car, puts the music on. Half way back home finally finds courage to speak on the matter.

– If you're serious just know I'll cry like a hysterical child. That's too much for me.

– You're pretty when you cry, – Suo smiles, gently rubbing his knee, – but let's give it some time. Overwhelming you, especially about family-related matters, is something I would like to avoid. However know that my heart is yours and yours only.

Sakura gives him a soft look and returns his attention to the road.

– So is mine.
