Sally Rooney, Beautiful World, Where Are You
[Text ID: And I want that—to prove that the most ordinary thing about human beings is not violence or greed but love and care. To prove it to whom, I wonder. Myself, maybe.]

Reading the scene where Feyre sees and explores Velaris for the first time is always so damn special. You feel like you’re seeing it all with her too and I love it and love how Rhys is quietly (and nervously) following her along, watching how she’s taking in his city. 🥹😭

Percy Jackson being completely in love with Annabeth Chase through the entirety of Chalice of the Gods. My favorite #Percabeth thoughts in Percy’s brain.
It’s hard to be sad when I’m with Annabeth.
Occasionally, somebody would ask me if I’d ever dated anybody besides Annabeth, or if I’d ever thought about dating someone else. Honestly? The answer was no.
I could’ve stayed like that for hours, perfectly content, appreciating the way the afternoon sunlight glinted in Annabeth’s hair, or the way her pulse aligned with mine when we held hands.
That didn’t seem fair to me- not because she was wrong, but because I didn’t want to put her second. The thing about great problem solvers is that they often don’t let others help them with their own stuff.
If I had to choose between being with Annabeth and…well anything, that was no choice at all.
By now, we’d had enough adventures together that I was usually only a few steps behind Annabeth's thought process, rather than a few days.
I knew she lived for these situations. She was at her most Annabeth when she was thinking her way out of an impossible predicament.
This is how you know you’ve found true love: when your significant other is just as bad at singing as you are.
That got a smile. I loved making her smile when she was trying not to. It always felt like a victory.
She was giving me that look of alarm I knew well: Percy, don’t you die
I wished I could at least let her know how much I loved her.
Mostly I just followed Annabeth's lead, and so far that had worked out pretty well.
Sometimes I wondered if Annabeth was open to the idea of marrying me someday only because she was excited about getting Sally Jackson-Blofis as her mother-in-law. Honestly, I couldn’t blame her.
Her tone of concern was the only thing that saved me. As I sailed through the air, Annabeth's voice electrified ever molecule in my body.
I thought about how much pain I was going to cause Annabeth. I’d promised I would never leave her again. When we left this life. I wanted it to be together, many years from now, when we were old and gray.

when stick season first came out someone mentioned to me that they noticed that the end of the view between villages fade loops into northern attitude, whether on purpose or accidentally, and i just realized why?? let’s say stick season as an album is initially intended to just be about his feelings towards his hometown, then the beginning of the view between villages is about him finally leaving back when he started to pursue music, the busyhead tour, etc., but then the end of the song when he says “the car’s in reverse” is about coming back home during covid and writing stick season, hence the loop back into northern attitude and the restart of the album. it’s just the endless inability to truly leave your hometown

Maybe we did grow heart bones. But what if the only way of knowing you grew a heart bone is by feeling the agony caused by the break?
