Quaestor-Ronin Yoshito Agrippia
Master of the Iron Heart
Dishonored by the failure of their company during wartime, Agrippia was punished with a fate worse than death: Reassignment.
As to the nature of their current mission, no one knows for certain. All that is known is that they are signing on as crew on any ship promising her grand battles, and distant destinations. Having not been formally dismissed, they continue to wear their ceremonial armor as a symbol of prowess and station. Adorned with depictions of Owls, Wolves, and Lynxes, the armor conveys a clear message: Agrippia is a nocturnal apex predator.

Ceres is the Roman goddess of agriculture, grain, fertility, and motherly relationships. Her name is the root of the word "cereal," a testament to her vital role in ancient agrarian life. She was one of the key deities of Roman religion, deeply revered as the nurturer of humankind through her gifts of food and sustenance.
Ceres is the Roman counterpart of the Greek goddess Demeter. As part of the Roman pantheon, she was considered a major deity and was one of the Dii Consentes, the twelve chief gods and goddesses.
In this artwork I wanted to depart from the traditional heroic nude, while still maintaining the integrity of the subject.
Her nudity symbolizes purity, divinity, and an unfiltered connection to nature. Her posture—relaxed yet confident, with one leg raised and a sheaf of wheat slung over her shoulder—imbues the figure with a sense of grounded power and fertility. She is sweaty, exhausted, and smiling with a sense of accomplishment.
She is not triumphant in battle, she has been successful in harvest. She is seated amidst an endless bounty of the earth, a product of her own labours. #roman #myth #artnouveau #illustration

Athena is the ancient Greek goddess of wisdom, war strategy, and crafts, known for her intelligence, fairness, and independence. Born fully grown and armored from Zeus’s forehead after he swallowed her mother Metis, she symbolizes both intellect and rational power. Athena is the patron deity of Athens, having won the city's favor by gifting the olive tree, a symbol of peace and prosperity. She embodies strategic warfare, contrasting Ares’s chaotic violence, and is often depicted with a helmet, shield, and the aegis, adorned with Medusa's head. Associated with the owl and the olive tree, Athena also presides over crafts, particularly weaving. She played a key role in assisting heroes like Odysseus and Perseus, offering guidance and protection. Revered as a virgin goddess, Athena stands for justice, discipline, and skill, blending martial strength with wisdom. Her legacy endures as a symbol of thoughtful leadership and civic virtue in both mythology and art.
My series on Athena consists of two separate portraits; one is a military portrait inspired by the neoclassical work The Emperor Napoleon in His Study at the Tuileries by Jacques-Louis David.
Athena stands by her desk on the early hours of the morning light. Her desk faces south towards the sea, ever vigilant against attack. Her face is weary, yet determined. Her wrinkled pallas hangs loose about her body underscoring her exhaustion, or a mind too distracted by important matters to be mindful of modesty.
Her helmet rests nearby, ever ready for battle.
The second portrait is an idealized heroic nude. Her body glistens, anointed by olive oil, as she stands at the ready. Her gaze is distant, her jaw is set, and her spear is clutched in a tight fist.
Her pose is an A frame stance which borders on contraposto. She is surefooted and resolute, but her poise is alert and her muscles flexed. She is as tight as a coiled spring, ready jump into action with a moments notice.

ELIZ'BETT: Hobgoblin Wizard
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eliz'bett was originally a Dungeons & Dragons character who took on a life of her own. A hobgoblin wizard, she was selected to join the order of the Scribes as she was seen as having an unsuitable temperament for the order of Devastators. A runt by hobgoblin standards, she is no less aggressive or resilient than the rest of her kind.
I always enjoy the finger details that come out of the woodwork when making paper dolls. The worn-out, standard-issue skivvies and the the torn and stained slip betray a sense of austerity, and a deeper lack of self worth. The shining silk ribbons used for her garters and ascots are a small personal allowance for self expression, followed by layers of standard issue, well maintained uniform clothing and equipment.
Each layer removed offers a greater glimpse into their personality, and (I hope) uses their nakedness to further enrich the character.
While nudity in artwork is often for the benefit of the viewer, it is my goal to have it benefit the depicted character as well. I hope you like it.

ENYO: Goddess of Ruin
Background: Enyo is a Greek goddess of war and destruction, often associated with the chaos and ruin that accompany battle. Known as the companion or counterpart of Ares, the god of war, Enyo delights in the devastation of cities and the bloodshed of combat. She personifies the brutal, merciless aspects of warfare, encouraging the total annihilation of enemies. In myth, she is sometimes seen leading armies into battle, spreading fear and frenzy. Though not as well-known as other deities, Enyo represents the darker side of conflict—ruin, terror, and relentless violence—making her a powerful symbol of war’s most destructive force.
This artwork is my first major attempt at portraying a figure with a fully finished background. Sadly, I think the elements I made in Photoshop contrast pretty starkly with the events made in Procreate. Nonetheless, I am extremely satisfied with my work, and consider this one of my best yet.

IRIS: Messenger and Goddess of Rainbows
Background:
Iris is the Greek goddess of the rainbow and a divine messenger, primarily serving Hera. She connects the heavens, earth, and sea, traveling with the speed of wind to deliver messages from the gods. Often depicted as a winged woman with a herald’s staff, she symbolizes harmony and swift communication. Unlike Hermes, she is never mischievous, but graceful and loyal. Iris also guides souls to the underworld and carries water from the River Styx for sacred oaths. Though not a major Olympian, her role in myths like Homer’s Iliad highlights her importance as a bridge between gods and mortals.
I feel like this depiction of her is fairly straightforward, (save for the fact that she is wearing the singing telegram uniform from the movie clue)
