I would install an old version of the Logitech gaming software which had the volume level fine but then I don't think it will recognize my mouse. I suspect it's the 8.88 gaming software that is causing the problems. There is no option for loudness equalization in windows that I can find because it seems to have replaced the Speakers Properties -> Enhancements tab with a "Logitech Gaming" tab that just opens the 8.88 gaming software. I've noticed that windows Sound->Playback->Logitech g930 gaming headset->Levels maxes out at -6.0 dB which seemed weird to me. I've tried installing extremely old drivers for the headset manually, it was still recognized by the 8.88 gaming software but the volume was still very low. Problem is, the volume is very low even on max. Windows found drivers automatically, version 8.85.205.0,, and the 8.88 gaming software now recognizes the headset. The new version of the software (8.88) was not recognizing my headset, so I uninstalled and reinstalled it. Recently I got a new mouse, the Logitech G pro, and had to update the Logitech gaming software. I have had the g930 wireless headset for a long time now, other than the well known problems with disconnects/restarts, I really like the headset.
