last night my highschool football game was evacuated due to a gun threat

very not fun!

i am in marching band, and i was in the stands when people started running

never in my life have i been rooted so firmly to my spot and another section leader has had to physically move me to get me to safety. we all got into the band room and i was met with the younger sister of one of my best friends and she was terrified. i never have held another child so tightly before

everyone was crying and when loved ones or friends could not be found, there were tears

thankfully no one was hurt, and i helped the girl get to her brother and i found my own.

moral of the story, hold your loved ones very close, and think about the leniency america has with guns. i am praying for everyone involved with the situation that they are mentally well after that.
