alright, let’s say dave randomly decides to just.. leave. like, abandon the place entirely. what would you do after that?
He wouldn't. He's too stubborn for that.
...if he did, though, I guess I'd just... follow him. I have to. It- it's important.

What was Mister Davey like before???
Almost the same way he is now, I think... Short-tempered, always leaping before he looks... ohh, so annoying, too. Don't like him. He...
...no, can't say that. He used to be... worse, I guess.

What are your thoughts on the video game series Pikmin
It... sure exists.
I've never played it. I'd pirate it or something, but it doesn't really seem like my kind of thing.

Who- ...
I don't know what or who that is. Sometimes I overhear some guy speaking in Tristan's room though... I- I think. Hard to tell from down here... it's always... "Hey all, Scott here," or something. Wonder if that's the same guy.

The what. What, you mean like... the coins with the... stars... in them? They're... fine, I guess. I- I can't differentiate any of the coins from each other, though.

And CELL relaxed. At least, he did for a little bit, before immediately remembering the condition Madden was in and rushing over. Despite the fact that pretty much everything inside the labyrinth was made of metal, CELL's footsteps were oddly quiet against the floor.
It knelt down beside its birdlike friend, looking over his body before realizing that his condition was worse than it thought. CELL grimaced, realizing what he just got himself into... but still persisted, picking up Madden and carefully taking him to its room.
And his room was... lame, to say the least. No sauce at all. The walls were blue, and the floor was green. Hardly anything was in that room of his, it only kept a sheetless bed, empty shelves, a singular spike upon the roof, a broken cryo-pod, and a charging station for his laptop. On his walls was a poster that didn't make any sense, and glowing words that simply read "FOUR YEARS". Had he scratched them into the wall?
CELL gently placed Madden on its bed, backing off for a moment to plug in its laptop. It didn't completely leave him in silence, though, speaking up again soon after.
"Sorry if, um, my room isn't... all that impressive, by the way, I... I don't really get... enough time to bring things down here... so I kinda just... gave up."
And sure enough, it wasn't his house. Far from it, actually! Upon returning to the surface, CELL was instead greeted by the painfully red 3D world. That screaming from earlier was no longer present, but CELL wasn't completely sure if he preferred this new area over the familiar sound of the old one.
One thought entered his mind: "I have to get out of here." But as he tried to leave, he found that the way back underground had vanished too. A look of pure annoyance crossed his face. Sure, he could just manipulate things and force himself back home, but that takes time. Too much time.
So, instead, he decided to explore for a bit. Perhaps by doing so (he thought), he'd find something worth his time. And a way home. That was important too.

"...It's gonna take a while," CELL added, holding a shaky hoof out. A screen materialized in front of it, which turned into a console of some sort. The rules of the world could only be edited by an admin, but, of course, CELL had a workaround.
It was a fast typer, having a WPM of around 150. Things could get done quickly, though definitely not efficiently. With any luck, this would be a temporary fix he could figure out later on.
Just a bit more... There.
It was a simple command to send Madden elsewhere. It was better than forcibly doing it, and it was significantly less painful for the target... but he wasn't sure if it worked. Naturally, he teleports himself back to the labyrinth to check if it went to plan.
"...uh- he-hello-- Did it work..." he mumbled, glancing around.

CELL tensed up a bit, already regretting his words from earlier. It's not that he didn't want to help Mr. Bird Man escape, as it could relate rather well to him. No, it was simply because he wasn't sure if he knew how. Sure, he knew how to get from place to place through brute force, but he didn't know if it would work well on someone else. Plus, through some arbitrary logic, whenever something specific happened, he was always teleported back. What if it sent Madden back as well...?
"I, uh... I don't know if it would... work." Its words were blunt, but a bit hesitant at the same time. Lying to him wouldn't do any good. "And it might hurt... but if it works, um, you'll be... in my labyrinth. At least, until I find a... safer... location for you to be in. I- I hope that's okay."
Once again, it doesn't maintain eye contact, instead choosing to look at the cube it corrupted. It had been a while since he had remotely cared for another living being, but seeing someone in that state had swayed him into action... for better or worse.

"...yeah, the labyrinth is... it's better than nothing, I guess," CELL replied, grasping one of the cubes floating around. "Though, I... I miss the mines, just a bit."
He idly spun the cube around, only to stop and stare down at it. The cube glitched a bit in his hooves, turning black.
"...no, wait, you- you don't know what that is- sorry. I wouldn't think about that too hard, it's just a place I used to live."
...it didn't look at Madden as it talked, and its expression was a bit hard to read. After a moment of pondering, he spoke up again. "I wonder... how hard would it be to take you there... to- to the labyrinth."
