Osteomyeltis of the femur, as a result of scarlet fever

Osteomyelitis is an intensely painful, often disastrous infection of the bone, which can have grave consequences. This case was the sequelae of a case of scarlet fever (a body-wide rash caused by strep throat), and resulted in amputation of the limb. This patient survived, but a large percentage of patients did not. Prior to antibiotics, many who contracted osteomyelitis (due to scarlet fever or other reasons) developed severe bacteremia (bacteria in the bloodstream), which often progressed to sepsis and death.

Yoshii Ayami’s Final Blog Post (2019-03-30)

Tomorrow will be April!

Since, today, a new linen bed sheet arrived, I changed my bed sheet anew, and rearranged my room for a bit, and with that, prepared to face spring.

This one month went by so fast, I am sure it’s the same for all of you as well.

When I thought of what I wanted to tell you, as expected there is nothing but gratitude.

All of you, fans, and also the franchises I met, you will forever and always be my treasure.

… Is what I want to convey to you.

And then, as expected,

I would be happy if…

The characters that I have voiced, and I myself,

are not forgotten.

Up till today, I got a lot of messages from a lot of people,

there are so, so many,

“Please live happily from here on out”

This is the first experience in my life to have people wish for my happiness.

Everyone, in these indescribable feelings, I felt really, really, really happy.

Thank you.

Everyone, from here on, may a lot of moments where you can feel, “I’m SO HAPPY!” come to you.

Interview with Takai Maikima [Harumi Kajika, Complete Music File]

Harumi Kajika voice actor: Takai Maika (Mausu Production. From Tokushima prefecture. Born in august 18th)

Third live is the performance that made me think that I really was standing on the Start Line.

- What do you like about your character? What I like about Kajika is how she can always positively believe in everyone and work hard. She has doubts, but because she believes in everyone around her, you can feel her kindness in her positive mentality. In the scene, you can see how just by those words she can ease the tension off the shoulders of everyone around her and reassures them… I think? Also, the fact that she gives energy and courage.

- What do you hold strongly in particular while recording? The thing that I hold on to during performance and recording is to believe in the people who came to watch and support us. On top of it, while treasuring my own feelings and emotions I felt onstage, I consciously think about how Kajika-chan would express those emotions. There are times where I felt, be it way of singing or interpretation, Kajika-chan is expressing my feelings.

- With all releases and lives, are there points of growth? I can now dance…?! I think (LOL). Also, when I watched the live footage, other than my performance, I am able to rethink the condition of everyone I saw onstage, to see Shihainins’ faces calmly, and I may have the composure to look at my surroundings, I guess…?

- Is there anything that left a deep impression on you while working? The first event I had with Nanasis is Kadokawa-san’s Game’s Dengeki Thank You Matsuri 2015 held in Akihabara, by Nanasis corner’s try out gathering. There I wore a fisher apron and gave my greetings as Kajika-chan. A lot of Shihainin came by and each one of them said, “Please take care of Nanasis!” It was so exciting, I had fun!

- Is there anything in the recording up until now that left a deep impression on you? During the test recording, Motegi-san always told me “Please sing freely”. But after a while, “Please let Kajika-chan descend” the “evocation” began (LOL). In my case, until the recording, my head was often so full of the scores and lyrics, that things like character’s view points or details are often decided during the recording.

- Please tell us of some interesting events as a unit! Our characteristics is to go on our pace no matter when! since I can feel assured whenever the three of us are together, to be unfazed by others’ antics is Sanbon Ribbon’s strength. Also, I think we have a lot of eye contact!The other two’s kind gazes tell me, “It’ll be alright”, which is why I can do everything with fun!

- What kind of live was 3rd live? For third live, from the moment it was announced, to training, and even during the live, everyone said things like “It’s a milestone~” and stuff. Personally, I managed to get over many things during 2nd live, there was indeed that feeling of “Well from now on is Third!” but, I have this lonely feeling coming from the heat gap out of the big word of “Accomplishment”. Everyone was having so much fun and so did I, I managed to feel that sense of unity for being able to experience the live together on my skin. For me, it’s a live that made me feel , “so this is what it means to stand on the Start Line”.

- What in 3rd live that you remember? During “Harukaze ~you were here~”. the falling Sakura landed perfectly and got stuck in my hair! We were talking like, “What if you get Sakura stuck on you backstage? No way it would happen!” and yet we had perfectly raised the flag and triggered it (LOL) [1]. It’s a good memory we can laugh at!

- What kind of songs are in 777 Sisters’ single [Start Line/Stay Gold]? when I got the sample, I first thought, it has the same atmosphere as the BGM that plays along with the announcement on Third Live’s encore. That said, the one composing was the same composer (as the announcement), Naoki-san. Then I saw the title and the lyrics. There are so many parts that linked to the emotions I felt during 3rd live, my willpower just burst out (LOL)! I already loved piano rock, so the recording was also so fun. It maybe hard to find in the perfected song with everyone’s voice combined together, but please find Kajika-chan who sang with so much passion at end of the lyrics (LOL)

-What would you like to do next? Any dreams while in Nanasis? Let’s make the dream big, abroad it is! I want to go! I request France or Europe!  I want to go to France’s “Japan Expo”!

-Please give a message to shihainin! I think there weren’t that many chances to push on someone’s back with songs, until I was allowed to sing as Kajika-chan’s voice in Nanasis’s songs. I received many messages and gratitude from a lot shihainin, thus I managed to know that I, even with a small presence, can also make someone smile and put so much into music. Thank you very much! I will try hard from on, so please, I will be happy if you would look after us as we grow in Nanasis.

*Favorite Song 1. Harujika (Chiisana) - Haneru I listen to it a lot and it’s a song that I practiced dancing really hard on! I’m excited to know what will Shihainin-san feel when they see Kajika-chan, who flew beyond her unit of 3 sisters, at the live!

2. 777 sisters - Stay Gold To run after your dream is a bit suffocating , I love this song, which even if painful, looks ahead positive with all its might. And I’m sure we’ll be able to communicate with the audience during the live!

–Character Profile Harumi Kajika The 14 year old middle child of the well establised fish shop, Uoharu. According to herself, she is a girl who is energetic, polite, and caring, but somehow a bit careless at the same time. She loves sweet things, but even though she is the daughter of the owner of a fish shop, she dislikes raw fish and can’t stand sashimi.

[1] Takai Maika (whichever is her surname) is referring to event flags in video games, where certain actions will lead to an event flag and eventually trigger it.

Erii Yamazaki’s profile and interview (4th Live booklet)

Erii Yamazaki  [山崎　エリイ]

From Chiba Prefecture, blood type O and born on November 20. Her hobbies include the harp, and visiting planetariums. Her specialty is classical ballet.

Tamasaka Makoto [ 玉坂 マコト]

14 years old, blood type B and born on March 14 (she’s a Pisces). She’s 156 cm tall and weighs 43 kg; her three sizes are B75/W53/H77 [I’m not entirely comfortable with how I’m typing out the 3 sizes of a 14 year old right now… but the info’s in-game anyway I guess /shrug - Nab]. Her nickname [what most people address her as] is Makoto, and her specialty is making bentos. Makoto likes Shihainin and kittens. Apart from her work as an idol, she is in her junior high school’s handicraft club.

Interview with Yamazaki-san 

Question 1: Compared to when Nanasis was released in 2014, have there been any changes in you personally?

Number 1 is Makoto’s changes. Makoto always acts while thinking about Oniichan [what she calls Shihainin], her feelings towards Oniichan are extraordinary! However, lately the number of people she holds dear is increasing, for example the other Nanastar members, and her fans. Makoto, who struggles with this development, is so endearing… During the first phase [of the game’s plot], one could not even imagine Makoto knowing a world other than Oniichan, the moment I read the episode, I feel like rooting for her, “do your best!” Please, I’d be happy if everyone would look after Makoto’s growth with me!

Question 2: What’s your favorite unit in Nanasis? 

It’s Lesca! I especially really, really, really love Behind Moon, I choose to play the song really often in-game too. Also, during the previous Memorial Live, my shift concided with Lesca-san’s rehearsal beginning. I had the opportunity to observe alongside Minami-chan, and they were so cute that both of us just went “kyaaa, kyaaa”… [LOL]. Soda type unit is the best!

Question 3: Please tell us your goal and motivation for the 4th live!

4th Live will be Ci+LUS’s 2nd stage, so by looking back at the things that I felt in the previous live, and the things that I learned for it together with Minami-chan, the two of us will try our hardest for 4th Live, while enjoying it! “Oniichan, Oneechan, please deliver… your feelings to Makoto <3″

Tokyo 7th Sisters Character Commentary - Katsuragi Kazumi

May contain spoilers for: Episode 1.5 (Kazumi, Xiao, Ayumu) - Episode 2.5 (Kazumi) - Episode 3.0 (Kazumi, Monaka) - EP. Event 

Katsuragi Kazumi

A very aloof girl most notable for her spectacles and books, Kazumi may seem unfriendly at first glance. Although calm, she is not shy nor reserved. Kazumi speaks her opinions clearly and strictly, which strengthen her "seemingly unfriendly" aura. Like Murasaki, whom she bonded in her episode 2.5, she is very individualistic and detached. She knows exactly what she wants, how to voice it--even if against others’ opinion--and will work towards it. She is eloquent but does not bother to have pep talk or having pleasantries. If anything, she is very true to herself and does not bother to bend herself for others. Her character episodes more often reveals more about her personality than it is about character growth, at least until her episode 3.5.

Bookworm

The very first point and easily Kazumi’s strongest point is her love for books. Not only that she reads a lot of books, she also writes one (which is so good that Musubi and Rona got hooked immediately). She also has the confidence that she could find anyone a book they would love (I believe CGSS Fumika said the same thing smh). She also would do anything to get her hand on a book she wants, or maybe for the author she likes. She would go have another baito if needed, just to earn money to buy books. She has so much respect to book, learning about many things from them and trusting them for references (such as during an episode event when they were asked about what to do with agency part).

Serious and Aloof

Kazumi is almost always serious, keeping a low calm voice all the time. Rarely joking, and only chuckles when amused, almost nothing breaks her very calm and steady composure. This makes her seems intimidating to younger members of Nanastar or even to people like Rona and Musubi. She can be playful, but it is the calm and reserved type of playful where she usually teases others lightly. However to get to this good side of her people must first get past her rather dismissive way of talking. That is why, it seems only people like Miu or Murasaki, who have good interpersonal skill and can look beyond Kazumi’s cold demeanor, can see the more playful side of Kazumi.

Resilient and Hardworker

Once she has set her mind on something, she would do everything for it, even if it did seem to suit her image or personality. Working in a bar did not seem like it will fit her and Murasaki also expressed doubt, but Kazumi proved she could, with flying marks. She also did not limit herself to her own opinion when it comes to self progression. She took on others opinion and tried them all out, even the most unlikely one like watching kid’s show to understand her own acting role, for example. She also did not hesitate on breaking her image or even bother about being humiliating, if she believe it was right (which caused the other nanastar girls instead feeling quite shocked).

Objective

Much like Murasaki, Kazumi is very objective about herself and others. If she was wrong she would acknowledge it and so is if others do. The only problem was she is always straighforward about it and does not beat around the bush, which makes her seems harsh. That same harsh treatment is directed to herself as well however, though that also is the reason why Kazumi can self evaluate herself to get better.

Confident

If anything, Kazumi is very confident. Being sure of herself and knows exactly what to do, Kazumi is very assertive on all of her decisions. Always sure of what to do and always properly doing every step required and even beyond, Kazumi rarely shows anxious faces or looking worried. It seems she was the type to try, not thinking about the possibility of failure.

Character Development

From episode 1.5 to 3.5, the episodes are mostly showing Kazumi’s character more than character development. In Episode 1.5, it is revealed that not only she loved reading books, she also writes one. At first Kazumi seems like she would not like to have anyone read her works and appeared very annoyed, but she seems to genuinely glad someone else liked her work and did not show animosity to either Musubi or Rona. In Episode 2.5, it was shown that unlike the first impression, Kazumi is very eloquent and can gracefully reject someone’s flirtatious advance. She also found some kind of new camaraderie with Murasaki, who felt that they actually clicks with each other in terms of personality. In Episode 3.5, Kazumi was shown to know that some things should be learned by doing and not only reading on books, and that the feelings of wanting to make someone else happy is what makes a work enjoyable. She also appears to be very fond of Nanastar now, commenting several times on how Nanastar is a “comfortable place” to be.

Relationships

Echizen Murasaki

Having the same kind of strong personality yet also actually a playful person, Kazumi and Murasaki at first appeared to have own opinion and images about each other, where both realized they are more than what they seemed to be. They have mutual respect to each other and from the cards, it appeared that perhaps they may have bonded more than the time Kazumi worked in Murasaki’s bar.

Aihara Miu

Miu’s easygoing personality seems to complement Kazumi very well. Usually Miu would be the one chirping while Kazumi listens and reads beside her. Either way it seems they enjoy each other’s company, and they communicate very well. Miu interacts with Kazumi on Ferb’s 2.5 and also during episode events, where it appears they have comfortable relationship.

Tendouji Musubi

Musubi respects Kazumi and really looked up to her ability at making novel, at first she was taking some great care not to offend Kazumi.

Tsunomori Rona

Rona at first has very bad impression of Kazumi and is very afraid of Kazumi, thanks to Kazumi’s straightforward words. However, she holds great respect for Kazumi after reading her novel and is eager to read the next.

Ootori Chacha 

Kazumi seems to frequent Chacha’s store quite a lot, which makes them to know each other. Chacha also appears to know Kazumi’s favorite author as well.

Trivia

Kazumi often takes off her glasses for her model work.

Not only she does modelling, she also takes on actress works as well.
