Teruki’s new hair!

for my first post of 2023 i have decided to draw teru in a bunch of outfits that I own and have worn. unsure if this is a self-own or not but I have on occasion been told that I dress like 'a minimalist's sleep paralysis demon' and 'a steven universe fusion between every 80s movie twink protagonist'

Would you look at that? 

A little bit of mystery (what was a moon spirit anyways), a dash of confidence (no sweat in the face of his rivals!), and an easygoing attitude (kicking butt and hanging out). 

Wow! He was cool!

“Hehe, you’re so refreshing compared to other guys!”

“Okay, let’s go!” 

She tries to cover her blush as she stares at him in admiration.

“Golden Ward’s definitely the place to be for the latest trends. Fibonacci’s not bad either if you can get to the top floors, but I think most of the types there are waaaay too snobby. And nobody’s as charming as you either!”

Gosh, how could she make sure they hung out for a while?

“Are you hungry? Do you need a drink or anything? They have free soup and stuff, but oh, there’s so much good food I could treat you to instead!”

The encroaching redness upon her face didn’t go unnoticed by Teruki. He had been accustomed to girls confessing their feelings to him. He felt bad turning all the girls down, but he needed to focus on himself first before he got into a relationship. Besides, none of the girls interested him. While they were pretty on the outside, their shallowness became a dark spot on their appearance. 

Teru flashed his award-winning smile at the blushing girl and tilted his head to the side. Despite his decision to remain a bachelor, he enjoyed the attention. “So you’re into with the latest trends and you’ve got a good eye, you’re ahead of the curb, Mary Sue~✰” 

Teru told himself to take it down a notch. His old self would have led on every girl in the school and used them for his own bidding. He’s not that guy anymore. He glanced away with a softer smile and ran a hand through his hair. “Y’know, I wasn’t thinking about it till you mentioned it. I am pretty hungry. Maybe one of the Kageyama bros would be there... definitely Mr. Reigen and Mr. Serizawa will... they’re suckers for freebies. You should see them at MobCo.”

If Ritsu hadn’t ratted out Reigen stuffing his and Serizawa’s pockets full of free cheese they may have gotten away with it. He sighed with a light smile, recollecting on Reigen and Serizawa running away from the MobCo police as the teenagers watched in second-hand embarrassment and horror.

Whoa, this guy was dazzling! Like literally, somehow. Maybe he was a movie star?

“You’re welcome!” she beams back, and while no stray star falls from her eyes, she’s definitely shimmering from the inside out.

“Um, the eclipse? You know, it’s like when something covers up the moon in the sky…”

“But in this place it sorta works like a magic portal too? Every time it happens we get new additions to the city, and there were a lot of cute boys this time…like you!” 

How did she know? A Mary Sue’s built-in proximity hunk radar is never wrong!

“So congrats on getting kidnapped with the rest of us! But don’t worry, most of the time the baddies leave us alone and the city’s plenty of fun!” 

Teru won’t admit that his good grades were due in part from extra leg work of his underlings; for over a year he had been adjusting to getting good grades on his own. It hadn’t been easy relearning how to do things for himself, but he found the sense of accomplishment in it. He smirked as he brushed his bangs to the side.

“Magic portal, huh? Sounds like some sort of spirit has taken over the moon. I wonder if Kageyama-kun and his brother wound up here.” He looked up and around, attempting to sense the brothers’ powers; unfortunately, he couldn’t even smell Reigen’s cheap cologne. 

“A lot of cute boys? Guess I got competition. Heh, it’ll be no sweat for a guy like me. While I don’t like the term kidnapped, it’s already been a much better experience than than dealing with those annoying CLAW freaks. So Mary Sue, let’s make the most of being taken together. What’s the hippest place around?”

Pearl Street had been on Teruki’s mind since he dissected the map of the strange city. Seasoning City had its bouts of unusual activity, which led to Teruki being more comfortable in his new environment. He wandered up and down Pearl Street, examining the store fronts and the styles that it had to offer. Majority of the styles had been too dull for him, monochromic colors, which had been “in” for a bit. Ritsu had tried to convince him to shop at stores that had simple colors, though he couldn’t vibe with the outfits. He needed something that would pop. Teruki sighed and shook his head.

“What is the fashion world coming too? No one has the vision that Hagemon does. The bold patterns, the happy monkey expressions. Kageyama-kun is lucky to own a Hagemon... what I would give to wear that shirt now.”

Teruki failed to notice that he’s blocked the flow of sidewalk traffic.

A shining radiant prince stepped off the train at the moment of a powerful wind blowing up every girl’s skirt in a ten foot radius around Teruki. He smiled, lifting a hand to hold his bangs in place, a happy smile upon his face as he enjoyed the breeze, unaware of the wind that levitated the girls’ skirts.

He stepped forward, opening his eyes to notice one frantic school girl. Unaware of what occurred, Teruki tilted his head, his hands sliding into his pockets. “Hey, you okay?”

What’s the point of exercising if you don’t look good while doing it? Teruki would hate the idea of himself running about the town in his school’s gym clothes. The purple shorts and white tee were terrible. He needed something with pizzaz. Teru picked up a vibrant purple tee with yellow glittering lightning bolts with clear, yellow plastic over the lightning bolts. He knew the lights would reflect off the material and illuminate him regardless of the time of day. 

“Cool.” He folded the shirt over his arm and looked at hot pink gym shorts that contrasted with the purple and yellow top. He reached for it with a happy smile. “Another perfect find.”

Teruki ambled the streets, eyes glued to the digital map and watched his red marker navigate the streets. His attention distracted by the confusing layout of the city, Teru didn’t notice the approaching woman, considering her height had been out of his eyeline. He bumped into her on accident, his phone slipped from his grasp. Before the device clattered against the ground, a vibrant yellow light glittered around the phone and it levitated back into his hand.

“My bad. You good?” she looked young enough to be in middle school, though her outfit seemed rather bold for someone younger than him. “Whoa, chic style. Upscale goth kinda vibe. What school do you go to?”

“Oh! I’m Mary Sue.”

“You’re so cool…even your name sounds nice!”

For once she feels shy before giving him her hand. Hm? Was this like, the first time someone had tried to hold her hand first? Geez, Spirale City guys could stand to learn some manners from him!

“Hehe, did you come by the eclipse last night?”

Teru’s eyes lit up upon hearing her name. Seasoning City didn’t receive much foreigners after the fall of the Broccoli Tree and the dissolving of the Psycho Helmet Cult. He shook her hand firmly before he retreated to give her a salute and wink. Did a star just pop out from his eye? No, must’ve been a trick of the light

“Thanks for saying so, Mary Sue ✰”

Her question caused him to pause and he closed his eyes in thought. “The Eclipse? Is what what brought me here? Tell me, Mary Sue, what’s the Eclipse and can you tell me anything that you know about this city?”

@esperprince​:  “Excuse me, miss, you dropped your handkerchief,” he held out a pink handkerchief with stitched sakura petals across the hem, clearly not hers, “oops, is this not yours? That’s my bad, it seemed to match your style. I’ll turn it into the police.” He radiated princely energy with his confident smile.

Huh?

“W-wait!” 

“Um, I…I can go with you?”

Oops there she goes, blinking back tears so she can see better! 

Teru began to turn away from the girl when her voice called him to pause. He obeyed her command, his gentle and debonair smile radiated charisma. 

“Hm? Sure. You could point me to the police station. I’m Hanazawa Teruki, it’s nice to meet you, miss?” He raised his hand, extending it towards her; a perfectly timed wind swirled violet petals around their forms.
