It feels as if Humans are under attack, we don’t see the bombs and gun fire coming. We are blindfolded. Most of us are asking the million dollar question; why and how is this happening? It can’t be real. It’s over in a far far away country affecting so many far away. Distance saves us. Out of sight out of mind. BUT wait... It is our reality...it’s in our town, county, community. It’s our neighbor or the folks at the grocery store or the mailman. It is the waitress at our favorite restaurant or someone in the movie theatre or in our subway car or bus route. I or you could be standing or speaking to someone already doomed and now is dooming us. Our schools, institutions, businesses, local markets, stores & on & on.l are shut down. Our normal lives stopped, Its eery, scary, surreal... It feels like every Syfy movie watched is validated in this very moment in this raw experience. no matter what kind of day we choose to have or through all of this, we seek some normalcy. Our minds are conditioned to continue living within our norms. Until our lives are insidiously interrupted. Schools and institutions closed. Malls and shopping centers desolate, every shelf in the supermarket empty. You are thinking fast in the moment, everything will work out and things will be ok. It’s not that serious. Until you realize that quarantine is your only option for survival or survival of your loved ones. And we circle back to the burning question; why is this happening? God has given us most of the tools needed to do the right things and live by moral, ethical and spiritual code. Somehow the clear message is- We have failed. This is happening to us, stripping away all of the ego, power and unjust, as we desperately search for our humility, and mostly being vulnerable. God is stating; Reflect! Look within deeply, search to find ourselves. We have lost our way. God is stating; remember the path written for you, because you have deviated. God is stating; put your phones and computers down, sit still, and be still in the mind, heart & soul. God is stating; you havent prayed enough, only on bad days. God is stating; we haven’t treated each other good, we haven’t loved each other enough, the world is suffering because of this, we have been judgmental, petty, hateful, jealous, liars, bitter, revengeful and gutless. God is stating; I am real, I am powerful and all mighty, your faith, belief and connection to me is imperative for your salvation. Instead of freaking out, be still, listen, reflect, love and love with intensity and grace. Take care of others, & yourself. Embrace the truth that has seeked you out from the beginning. Allow your faith and connection to embody your strength through this tragedy in time and space. God is in everything & in everyone. Let the sun shine on your face, take deep breathes, be thankful for all you have, set goals for more that you want. Plant seeds of inner love. May your thoughts be of all good things. Worries are infectious, let’s purge ourselves of all the bad habits, bad feelings, bad wishes. Live honest in your truth, with your eyes and heart wide open. The earth will heal us if we are willing to put in the healing work! God bless everyone!

Emotions don’t need to be validated or justified. They are movements of energy. If the mind tunes into that energy, for example anger, then the mind may start seeing and thinking through the lens of that anger. The world and yourself will look different through that lens and you may speak and act in ways you ordinarily would not and you will likely regret it. Allow yourself to feel your emotions, notice your emotions as they arise and shift, and don’t tune into them with your mind. Don’t believe anything or draw any conclusions. Just breathe and give everything enough space to be felt and honored without allowing it to overtake and intoxicate your own peace and sanity. In time, all emotions go the same way in which they arrived. They are the dance of impermanence within the heart. Being mindful of this, you can spare the world and yourself from unnecessary suffering and confusion.
