❝Obviously you give a motherfuck about this motherfuck considering you're talking about it right now, this very moment.❞
“No. I do not.”

Oh God, Destiny just hated school in general -- mainly for the people, the other half was because of the learning. She was very smart, but not smart enough. Needless to say, she wasn't anywhere in life. She sings for a living and that doesn't really get her anymore. Drug dealing in another thing but, she's usually the one doing the drugs, so. That's the end of that.
❝I really think I do, son. Of course! Friendship comes from swag -- friends who swag together are friends who stay together, haven't you heard? Dude, Lucas is a swaggy name -- you could be famous with a name like that, that's a name girls swoon over. Lucas. I'm Destiny, by the way. Now, what are your favorite things to do besides being swaggy?❞
Nerdy was the definition of what Lucas was as a child, the quite, weird —nerdy one that was always at the front of the class, eager and ready to learn. He hated school, because of the people —But learning was something that he’d always loved to do, and still did —Even if as an adult, it seemed to take him alot longer to learn certain lessons than it used to.
”You think you got that power? I feel like this is a challenge for you, if you can do it we’ll be friends forever, can”t get rid of the swaggy girl who turned me from sag to swag now can I? —Uh, the name’s Lucas —Blame my parents if it isn’t swaggy enough.”

Regardless, the way he was coughing didn't seem -- healthy, to say the least. Her eyes narrowed slightly as her lips parted. She cared, she did. I mean, she was talking to her best friend's husband -- of course she cared, no matter what title she had for him, really.
❝The treatment center, I know. Rehab. Nobody can really force him to really do anything, I just worry, you know. I don't want him to fly off of the handle. He used to go -- insane where we used to reside. A mental hospital filled with fake bitches and stupid nurses. They used to lock him away sometimes, it was just ---- I don't want that to happen again, but you keep him sane. You really do. A cold? That's not very convincing considering you look like you were about to cough up a lung or two.❞
He was trying to keep the whole cancer thing on the down low, but coughing up blood all the time and coughing in general didn’t make it an easy task. He figured she wouldn’t care, so maybe he’d just pass it off as a cold.
”I tried to ask him if he wanted to go back to this place he
was in before because I stayed with him the whole time,
and I’d do it again, but— he didn’t want it. I just wish he’d
talk to me and cry to me and let me help.” He chuckled,
giving a shrug. “Yeah, well I am the type. Daxton stopped
me. He makes me want to be a better person. And, uh—
it’s just a cold, is all.”

See the thing was, Destiny was stubborn -- she needed answers right before her or she would't give up without a fight. Stubborn was an understatement, really. Her lips pursed into a tight like as she tried to gather together a proper statement to fully express what she was trying to display or say here. The girl didn't want to come out too harsh, but by the way this was going she had the feeling this would be a shot in the dark, but it's worth a try. She stood up straight, inhaled deeper and began to speak.
❝What're you so afraid of?❞ She asked, her head canting to the side now only in the slightest. Her tone was more stern now, her posture was more upright and forward than she was seconds ago -- slouched over and simply submissive to the boy in front of her. ❝I'm serious. Enlighten me with your answer.❞ Needless to say, she was growing frustrated. But nonetheless, she'd do what he said because well, as stated, she adores him.
So naive she was, and how he loved to take advantage of that — though he feared maybe one day she would start to see through him, and if she chose to walk away, he wouldn’t stop her. At least he didn’t think he would. Daniel had never been in one of those situations before and he definitely had never been so oddly infatuated by a girl everybody either found invisible, or they just picked on her.
Clearing his throat, Daniel stood up straighter and closed his locker gently, trying not to attract any unneeded attention in their direction. ❝No,❞ he snapped, a bit louder than expected. He was frustrated but he didn’t want to be mean to her. ❝Not right now.. I’m busy. Just go, Destiny, alright?❞
