Murano at Portofino my favorite building in South of Fifth!
Enjoy all-day indoor sunshine and all-night outdoor entertainment, just steps from your door. The condos in Murano at Portofino are known for their amazing sunrise and sunset views from two east and west terraces. Their spacious, creative floor plans each feature glass walls from the floor up to the extra-high ceilings, and most of the units offer private elevator lobbies and wine chillers.
At Murano at Portofino, the South Beach lifestyle meets Bal Harbour privacy. Each unit comes with all the amenities of a world-class resort, including a bayfront swimming pool and spa, tennis courts, multi-story fitness center overlooking Fisher Island, and media and recreation rooms. The property itself contains 4.5 acres close to docks, beaches and South Pointe Park. Every condo owner also receives membership to a nearby beach club, La Piagga.
Murano at Portofino is among the tallest skyscrapers in Miami Beach, and its 20-foot lobby welcomes its residents in dramatic fashion. Inside your home, you’ll enjoy up to more than 3,300 square feet of luxurious space, from kitchen breakfast nooks to marble whirlpool tubs. Each residence is state of the art in sustainable features, including high-efficiency central air conditioning. It’s the perfect place to live, invest, or vacation.

Adorable little piece of the South Point Park! I always take my kids here after we went to beach and they have the biggest fun here in the water sprinklers. You can also picknick here really good and drive your bicycle.
The Beach is on the side where the photographer is taking the picture from. On the background you can see the buildings I was talking about earlier Continuum on the right, Portofino Towers is the orange, then Apogee to the left and Murano at Portofino all the way on the left. The park goes all the way till Apogee and turns into the Marina where Murano at Portofino starts. Amazing route to walk.

South of Fifth, Miami Beach’s Best Kept Secret
South of Fifth definitely has the best beach of the entire Miami Beach area. The water clear blue, the sand white, the cute pier, the beautiful South Point Park. It’s a place that never bores me and I’ve been living here since more than 20 years now.
South of Fifth developed itself a lot the last few years. More and more restaurants and stores are opening up, and in my opinion currently the best restaurants are all located in South of Fifth. From really fancy restaurants like Prime Fish, Prime 112, Red, till Big Pink, Tongue & Cheek (with award-winning Chef Jamie DeRosa, they have great happy hours from 5-8pm) the famous fish restaurant Joe’s crab, the Marina tiki hut style Monty’s, for everybody something. My favorite spot is Smith & Wollensky, a popular steakhouse right on the water in South Pointe Park. The food is delicous, the views are amazing and the vibes are great!
For the ones who don’t want to go sleep after dinner, one of the biggest clubs in Miami called Story, is located right here. Also Nikki Beach is a great hotspot where you can start your day on the lounges and have a little cocktail while your getting your tan and enjoy the beach, and go on till the early hours id you want in their club. If you want to take it a little more easy there is a really cool bar called Radio where you will find most of the locals.
Living in South of Fifth has different levels. There are really great lofts like Absolut Lofts, complex buildings like the cosmopolitan and the Courts and of course the ultra luxury high rises South of Fifth is famous for. Apogee, Murano at Portofino, Murano Grande, Continuum I and II, Icon, Portofino Tower. They all offer super luxury condos with magnificent finished and views and amenities and services better than your expectations.
If you’re not convinced yet just take your bike or walk an afternoon around in this area and I guarantee you, you will fall in love like I did a long time ago!
