The idea to make Sophie an Irish maid, and illegitimate daughter of an Earl (her last name is Beckett!)-as someone pointed out- would be wonderful. Even better if Aoife Hinds plays her.

I'm kind of tired of the lack of ethnic struggles in Bridgerton just because they are afraid to touch anything race-related. The Irish were basically starved to death a few decades after Bridgerton's events.

It would definitely add something deep to the Cinderella trope; class and ethnic struggle along with Benedict's concealed sexuality and Sophie's parenthood.MAKE IRISH SOPHIE HAPPEN!

I mean, not only the National Holiday this year falls on a Friday, which means we get an extra day of weekend, but Bridgerton also drops today
