the only way to obtain a shiny hidden ability articuno/zapdos/moltres/mewtwo is to shiny hunt in gen 1 on 3ds virtual console

to see if it's shiny, you'll have to check its stats right after catching it and compare them with stats calculated using the DVs that result in shinyness.

just like gen 2, the odds of a "shiny" pokemon are 1/8192

when traded to gen 2 or transferred up using poke transporter and pokemon bank, the pokemon will be shiny if they have those DVs
